Awesome bit, Plenty of steel studs being utilized with the cost of lumber but this drills right through and the piece pops right out of the bit when it penetrates

The pilot bit broke on my first use. Fortunately, it did make a pilot hole before breaking and the saw was able to cut through the metal. The hole saw seems good, and the spring feature is neat; this would be a great bit if the pilot wasn't so brittle! I wish the replacement shanks were sold at HD, because now the bit is useless to me even though the pilot is made to be replaceable. Disappointed.

Good tool for a drill motor, not a quarter inch impact driver. It lasts much longer that way and is very good for thin metal applications.

For making holes in steel, this can not be beat. So easy, quick, smooth compared to my regular hole saws. My application is 1 3/8” holes in electric panels for 1” conduit

This is constructed where a set screw keeps the saw blade spinning with the drill bit, but after a very short amount of use, the screw loosens. The drill bit keeps spinning but the saw blade seizes against the material. So you stop and tighten the screw, go a few more seconds, stop and tighten the screw again and repeat and repeat and swear a little and repeat. I'm not sure what the spring is supposed to accomplish. I had to buy three of these to finish one job. The spring compressed and stuck on two and slipped off the third. Turned what looked like a 10-minute project into a whole weekend with 3 trips to HD. This job was cutting into metal which this product is advertised to do but it must only be meant to cut the thinnest of sheet metals. With a name like Shockwave, you'd think it would be indestructible. I still love my many other Milwaukee tools.

Popped in my drill and made a perfect hole in my bucket.

Won’t cut through stainless as advertised. Plan on returning this piece of junk

Had to re-drill faucet hole in stainless steel and it went through it like butter. I thought it would be more difficult.

these are ok - they cut pretty well - they should be a bit deeper whcih could save some time

Great for small places and will cut just about any metal

i was disappointed on its performance,my guess its better at cutting through 19,21 or 22 ga.stainless steel sink it really struggled going through 18 gauge,I used it accordingly,didn't force it ,I let cut at a med/low speed it took a long time to get through,need something better,thank you.

The metal teeth were worn down after using it to cut a hole in our metal sink.

I realized bought the wrong tool so I can't tell how the tool ranks in comparison.

This hole saw is perfect to make hole in metal stuck. I love it!

Does the job for which I had intended, and does it well.
