Best pry bar on the Market

Worst hammer ever! I don't think they tested it at all. The handle is not a good shape for your hand and forget pulling a nail prying a board, no leverage at all with the angle of the forks.

The pry bar is extremely sturdy. I has a medium weight to it. I needed something to remove nails that were coming up on my deck and found the pry bar to be the tool for the job. I can get good balance on beneath the nail heads and easily lift them out. The pry bar has a nice grip to hold on to. The claws on the pry bar are easy to get under the nail heads. It made getting the job done quick and easy. I didn’t imagine that this tool would do the job so easily. It is well made.

A lot of the tools I have were once my father's, so some are pretty old. That can be good or bad, as with many things "they don't make them like they used to." I've been using an old pry bar with a straight handle and a smaller one with the curved end. So I was glad to get the new Milwaukee 15" pry bar. Besides the obvious difference with the curved claw end, the new one has a 5.5" Milwaukee-red silicone SHOCKSHIELD grip to reduce vibration. After using the straight handled one for so many years, this grip was a welcomed relief. It does its job. They say it is designed for "maximum prying power." I can confirm that as I put it to the test on a few stubborn 2x4s when trying to tear out a basement bathroom. Overall a nice addition/upgrade to my tool collection.

The Milwaukee 15 inch pry bar is a nice upgrade from my old pry bar that was a hand me down from my grandfather 30 years ago. I really like the addition of the rubber hand grip. It really absorbs the hammer shock you would get with older pry bars. It also seems to have a corrosion resistant coating that holds up well to use. As with most all Milwaukee tools, it's well engineered and quality manufactured.

The pry bar has a sturdy feel without feeling too heavy. I found the red shock shield helped with overall grip during use. I always wear a padded leather palm glove, so there isn’t an issue with vibration during use. The front edges on both beveled claws are consistent and nicely machined. Each claw has a nail slot and there is an additional nail puller incorporated into the shaft of the pry bar. At one end of the pry bar, the shaft is contoured to increase leverage. If you look at the image below, the edges of the contour are thicker than the center of the shaft increasing the strength of the bend in the pry bar. If I could change one thing on this pry bar, it would be the angle of the beveled edge on the claw on the straight end of the pry bar. The taper could be lowered to facilitate easier penetration beneath and between objects. A thinner taper would allow you get under a nail head and not have to go to deep into the wood surface. All things considered; this is a very good pry bar. It’s easy to use and should last a long time. I would expect nothing less from Milwaukee branded tools!

The Milwaukee 15 inch pry bar with ShockShield Grip. is a great pry bar this 15 inch was just the right size for moving my shed that had suffered wind damage. we had to pry it back on to the slab and helped with putting the doors back into position. I did like the Shock Shield Grip it was very comfortable in the hand. I would definitely recommend this tool to my friends.

The 15 inch lengthen is a great size, gives lots prying force, and fits in tight spots. Plus it will still fit a toolbox. Seems to be built of high quality materials and made to last. This 15 inch Milwaukee pry bar is excellent. The high leverage head makes pulling 16d nails a breeze. The shockshield grip works great and unlike knockoff brands it actually stays in place. Between the grip and forged steel this pry bar doesn't vibrate like others. You can tell Milwaukee really thought out the design and used quality materials when you compare this one to the competition. I look forward to using this pry bar on my next remodel project.

This is my first new pry bar in a long time. I have to say the Shockshield Grip is great. It definitely reduces the vibration when hitting with a hammer and your hand/arm will feel the difference after a long days work. The high leverage Shepard's hood neck makes it very easy to pull nails out even in tight spaces. This pry bar is made from forged steel and will last a long time and stay sharp in order to access though tight area. This is my new favorite tool and I will be getting a ton of use out of it.

Just anout any steel handle hammer is “buy it for life” this one just happens to be a particularily well thought out and put together example. I like the red handle but that grip will be the first thing to wear out (in 20 yrs) keep it away from chemicals. Also a little concerned with the longevity of the tiny magnet for the nail starter, kinda looks like just super glue holding it in. But even if that stuff fails this is still a superb hammer

This Milwaukee Hammer is the best. I love any Milwaukee tool. I like that I can finde just about any Milwaukee tool at your store.

I am a DIY so this wont be used for commercial work, just simple work around the house. Milwaukee makes sone nice gear and after i tried some of their hand tools wanted to buy this hammer. Its made in Taiwan, feels pretty good for the construction, no sharp edges or loose rubber grips. The hammer feels balanced in the hand but it doesnt feel lighter like some of the welded hammers out there. The grip is a semi hard rubber molding similar with other metal hammers. The one thing I did notice is that compared to DeWALT and Estwing the grip on the Milwaukee is much thinner. I wear XL gloves so normally I would lay my thumb on the spine of the hammer which is difficult on this hammer. Another thing is the head of the hammer is larger which can be good/bad depending on what you like. I havent noticed a big difference in the anti-ring but this just has a detent in one fork of the pry fork. The lack of a side puller is different but I dont use this, just buy s cat paw. One last thing, cosmetic but i like how this hammer is clear coated instead of painted. My Estwing hammer looks thrashed from one use and the chipping paint leaves behind raw unprotected metal.

I am very impressed with this hammer. When I picked it up the first time I wanted to do some demolition. It is comfortable in my hand and calibration on the weight distribution is very good. It has all the features you will want in a hammer. The flat claw is great for prying up boards and the magnet with striking area is very good for a nail starter. I would definitely recommend this tool to others.

PROS * One-piece I-beam construction * Structural design (and padded handle) to reduce vibration and ringing * Excellent balance * Strong magnetic nail-setter in the head * "Waffle Head" milled face reduces mis-hits * Good sharp-edged claw with very moderate curve and good geometry make it easy to lever up nails It's hard to tell just by looking, but judging by the exposed parts and the sound, the steel -- made in Taiwan -- seems to be excellent quality, and the shaft seems to go deep into the very well insulated handle, if not all the way to the end. The balance is excellent -- not too head-heavy -- and the relatively narrow handle tapers out to a broader end, yielding a surprisingly comfortable grip and good maneuverability in tight spaces. The only potential negative I could find was the lack of a side-pull nail slot, but I have a small pinch bar for tight spaces, so that's not a feature that I will miss. Bottom line, this is a well-made, well-balanced hammer that is comfortable enough for all-day use. Highly recommended.

I love this this Milwaukee framing hammer and pry bar set. very good quality and great price.

Used it to remove carpet tack strips. Was excellent for that job. Did not damage the wood flooring.

Milwaukee tools almost never disappoint. Great tools for anyone serious about building and the trades work. The Home Depot was also great to work with delivering on time. It was a great experience all around.

A better than average pry bar. It is reflected in the price, but good value for the money.
