    Lost customer
I have been a long time Ridgid/Dewalt customer for power tools, and a Kobolt/Dewalt customer for hand tools. Recently I started buying Milwawkee tools, but after buying this set I will no longer buy Milwawkee. This set is disgustingly of poor quality, for starters all the hole saws don't even fit where there supposed to, 2nd most of them are not even round. I have a Kobolt set and side by side the Milwawkee set looks like a 3rd rate cheap set. I get it this set is only $40 but under false pretenses, atleast I hope so, because if I paid $80 for this garage I would want to fight over it. I have purchased Ridgid and Dewalt items on sale before and both of them care about the fact that there names are on the product to sell some trash like this. I will post pictures side by side with a quality Koblot hole saw kit.

My yes buy is hinged on the fact you need an organised selecton of saws. This is a very nice kit for both the pro and the handyman. This kit allows me to get to a job and install recess lighting or door hardware. It even has a saw or 2 we used in radio installation work. It comes with 2 arbors and spare pilot bits. The kit also comes with a recommended rpm guide for saw size and material type. I tested mine on aluminum both dry and oiled. I don't recommend oiling but cooling the saw by just using proper speed. Quality of the saws in the kit is the same as the individual saw packages that hang on the hook.

Fantastic upgrade !! I have a collection of miscellaneous hole saws, which I acquired based on project need. Unfortunately, it seemed like I needed a new bit on a regular basis particularly when I was working on my new game room or garage. I picked out this bit set because it has such a wide variety of hole saws and the larger ones have positive locking mechanism, which makes a huge difference when cutting larger holes. The fact that this set comes in a single plastic case makes it easier to carry around the house or garage. The saws themselves seem to hold up well.

This set has 13 sizes of hole saw, and two sizes of arbor. Also included are spare arbor starter drill bits and a very nice plastic case. The larger arbor needs to be used with the larger hole saws. Sawing through any wood is a breeze with these. Removing the plug, which can be a hassle with other hole saws, is made easy by the multiple approaches provided, which help keep the saw cool while being used. See my video for how easy it is.

I received the Milwaukee 21 piece Hole Dozer, item 49-22-4171, the other day. I got this for my husband’s birthday because for years he has always had an incomplete set that didn’t have a case to keep them organized and all in one place. This takes care of that problem and offered him more sizes than he had. It has 13 hole saw sizes, 2 arbors that were easy to change, an Allen wrench and 3 pilot bits. He liked that it had a big enough slot to get a screwdriver in to remove the plug. They can used on wood, metal, pvc and more. He loves the kit, was impressed on the quality of the product and is looking forward to using them. Attached is a picture of the first hole he drilled! I would highly recommend this kit.

This kit contains 21 pieces. There are 13 hole saws ranging from ¾ inch to 5 inches, two arbors and three additional pilot bits. One of the arbors is for the larger hole saws and the other is for the smaller. The larger arbor has a push on and pull off locking feature that locks into the holes on the larger saws. The arbor is screwed on and then the lock feature is engaged. The large arbor is used with saws 1 ½ inch and larger saws. The small arbor is the standard screw on. It is used with 1 1/8 inch and smaller saws. A supplied Allen wrench is used to remove the pilot bit and to insert a new one. The arbor screw for release of the pilot bit is tight the first time and it takes some effort to loosen it. The saw has plug release holes on the sides for easy removal of the cut- out material. The saws are advertised for multi material use, including wood and metal. I have not used it yet on metal but cuts fast and easy through wood. This kit does not have all of the saw sizes available, but it has most of them. Impressive arrangement of sizes. The molded carry case keeps the saws organized and easy to transport. A little expensive but should last a long time. The saws have a limited lifetime warranty against saw tooth breakage.

Over the years, I’ve gathered a miss-match collection of hole saws. Some inherited from my father, others when I needed a certain size and ended up buying one at a time. I always wanted a complete set, and now I have one. One of the best features of the Milwaukee hole saws are the large clean-out slots to pull the plugs out. I also like the way the saws are stacked in the case, to minimize wasted space. I do have an older drive arbor (don’t know the brand) that uses a detent system to engage and disengage the drive pins. I like this better than the Milwaukee system that requires you to spin a nut down to hold the drive pins into position. However, it’s not a big deal. Another feature Milwaukee calls out is their “Rip Guard” tooth design to prevent breakage. A couple of my other brands have broken teeth (see picture). Milwaukee includes a chart for desired drill speeds in different metals, with the different sized hole saws. I wish this would have been printed on a hard plastic, instead of just paper. They didn’t suggest it, but I always use cutting oil when cutting holes in metal. Helps keep the cutter cool, and last longer. Anyway, this is a very nice set.

Milwaukee Hole Dozer General Purpose Bi-Metal Hole Saw Set (21-Piece) is a great set of hole saws. The kit come with 13 hole saws sizes ranging from ¾ “to 5”. Five pilot drill bits, two arbors an Allen wrench. It also come in a nice hard plastic carrying case. The saws are marked in standard and metric. They have two holes on the side for removing the plug one near the top for thinner ones and a longer one for thicker ones. Each saw is backed by the Rip guard limited lifetime tooth break warranty. Even though it says bi metal saws it cuts through wood with ease. I use them on wood most of the time. I highly recommend these saws.

I have been using Hole Dozers for years, purchasing them individually a needed. They can be used on metal, wood, plastics and most building materials. This set has 13 hole saws, along with 2 arbors (requires 3/8” or larger drill chuck) and 3 additional pilot drill bits (1/4” dia). Also included is a hex key used for setting the pilot drills to the arbors. The hole saws have multiple oblong leverage holes (plug jacks) to aid in removing the cut plugs. Multiple leverage holes are provided around each hole saw – the number will vary depending upon saw diameter (see photo) These saws are coated with a low friction thermoset paint - when compared to non coated hole saws, these are noticeably faster - this coating along with the 8% cobalt in the saw material probably contributes to the ease of use. Putting a hole saw onto the 3/8” arbor is straight forward, just spin it on to seat. The 7/16” large quick change arbor does require another step: 1) spin the hole saw onto the arbor to seat: 2) back off the hole saw to align the collar pins with holes in the bottom of the hole saw and push the collar to engage the pins, an internal spring & ball bearing detent keeps the collar in position. Although these hole saws have a limited lifetime warranty against tooth breakage (due to defective material or workmanship) – no warranty card nor any written documentation was included – Milwaukeetool.com has the warranty information. 21 piece set: 13 hole saws, 2 arbors, 5 pilot bits, 1 hex key

This Milwaukee Hole Dozer General Purpose Bi-Metal Hole Saw Set (21-Piece), with hole saws from 3\4" all the way up to 4 1\2" is a very useful DIY or Professional tool set! With the excellent construction and attention to details (deeper Rip- guard cutting teeth and backing, low friction coatings and lifetime warranty), I've found these hole saw blades to cut faster, cooler and maintain their sharp edges longer! The carry case is solid and easily holds this 21 piece set intact. Convenience, efficiency, speed and quality...hard to beat when facing various sized smooth holes for many construction needs!!

This is the ultimate Hole saw Package. Says general purpose, but these are great! The 21 pieces cover every standard size hole. The Bi-Metal blades are sharp and stay sharp. The Plug Jack lets you eject the center and remove with ease. The blades are really stiff and have a lifetime tooth warranty. Lifetime. The teeth are super strong and super sharp. Two sizes of arbor and 5 extra pilot bits make changes easy. ¾” to 5 inch. 9 different blades. Hard case keeps everything tidy.

Milwaukee Hole Dozers not quite to my standards. The quick change feature is great but it does not lock up the saw solid allowing for vibration and ‘singing’. I only had one saw where the holes and pins locked up tight. Other than that they are beautiful and versatile. I rated good because the manufacturing and steel quality and the principle is good. I rated quality as average because of the lock up problem on the quick change feature.

Buyer Beware!!! I bought this on sale recently because - as the other reviewer points out - it's a heck of a value compared to Milwaukee's other sets. But this is (at best) a set of "construction" hole saws -- don't even think of buying this for woodworking as the diameters are not even close to what is stated. Very disappointed in the quality - not at all what I've come to expect from Milwaukee. Packaging says "Made in USA" (which I doubt) - if so, they might as well ship those jobs to China. This set doesn't really fit the case it comes in, but all the sizes stated on the packaging are there. The spare pilot bit you see up by the hinge doesn't go there - it doesn't have a 'home' and is just loose in the box (see photo). The build quality of some (most?) of the cutters is terrible! These are made by taking a 'strip' of blade material, rolling it around the hub, and then welding the seam. Some of the welds are sloppy and protrude from the sides. Haven't used them yet, but expect they may bind in the hole in thicker material. Even worse is that many of the cutters are not round due to a bad rolling job. Also, the set screw was so tight in one of the mandrels that I couldn't get it loose. Either their production methods are crappy with no quality control, or Milwaukee just doesn't care. So why do I rate them as highly as I do? Well I bought 2 sets (one for the truck and one for the shop), and took the best parts from each to make one decent (not 'perfect') set. I will return the crappy set, and buy 2 (or 3) more to cherry-pick. (Really hope they don't resell the crappy sets). . If you do this you will end up with a set of reasonably good hole saws at a good price. Otherwise, don't buy this set.

This is one fantastic set of Hole dozers. It provides holes from ¾ inch through 4-3/4 inches. There is no job that cannot be performed as these saws cut through multiple materials and remains sharp cut after cut. The Milwaukee hard red plastic carrying case stores and organizes the blades, arbors, and drill bit replacements for easy identification. Comes with everything I needed for large and small cuts as there is two different centers quick change arbors. I have used this saw set for making rain barrels, and craft projects like bird houses. My next job is to make a wine rack. There are so many possible uses for this hole saw set. I am very pleased with this set and of course love and trust the Milwaukee brand as they provide so many fantastic tools and excessories. Each cutting tool is coated with a unique paint that reduces friction and the teeth are razor sharp and cut through materials like butter. 2x4’s, 2x3’s when doing electrical wiring are no match for these mighty blades. I am completely satisfied. They work and will last for many years if not mistreated. Two thumbs up. I highly recommend these tools in everyone’s tool chest.

First use was on a very well used 1/4 inch thick steel fire box on my old country Brazos smoker and the hole saw made quick work of the fire hardened steel with no problems at all in fact it took longer to drill the 1/8th in starter hole than to cut the 1 3/8 with the hole saw and the blade still looks great and sharp

This quality hole saw kit supplies many of the sizes you may need. For me this set represents a transition from a few low quality hole saws to a high grade set that is likely to meet most of my hole sawing needs in the future. From 3/4" to 1 1/2" the set includes all sizes in 1/8" increments. The larger sizes might seem to be chosen at random up to the maximum diameter of 4 3/4". For example there is a 4 1/8" saw but not a 4" one. Knowing how well Milwaukee designs its products, I am sure there is a good reason for their choice. They will have picked the sizes that are most useful to most users. These blades cut quickly and accurately, even the larger sizes, and after one large project the blades show no signs of wear. They will see a lot of use in the future.

This is the best Hole Saw Kit I have ever seen or owned! There are 22 hole saws, 3 quick-change arbors and 3 thick core pilot bits. A very well designed, portable, sturdy case is included to keep all parts very organized. All saws are labeled with their size for easy locating. So far I have used this hole saw to connect rain barrels to the down spouts from my gutters. I used the 2 1/8" size to drill a hole into the metal downspout and the 1 1/2" size hole saw to drill into the plastic rain barrel. Set up was easy and fast and the saws cut through the metal and plastic so quickly with no effort. The holes they made were smooth with no rough edges to sand down. The slots on the sides of the saws made it easy to get the cut metal and plastic centers out too. I finished my project in a matter of minutes. This kit is constructed of high quality materials, is well-made and performs at top capacity just like all the Milwaukee tools I own! Furthermore, it's made in the USA! Great product and so many sizes of saws.!

What comes in the box is not what is in the picture. Milwaukee has redesigned their Hole Dozer Saw Kit to, essentially, eliminate the snake like hole along the side and replace it with a straight hole, which seems significantly less useful and definitely not what I ordered. However both the packaging on the box I received and the picture on the website show the old hole dozer saw kit. Buyer Beware!!!

          Sharper than ice
I've never used a set of hole saws so sharp, it's really amazing. These things just plow through wood with ease. Great selection of sizes and I personally really appreciate a well designed carrying case, which this kit has. It took me a bit to figure out the larger chuck system as the instructions leave a bit to be desired. Once you get it it's easy to use and I prefer it to the basic screw on setup. Overall very pleased, if your in the market, get these.

Perfect for electricians, contractors, and home owners
Whilst clearly aimed at the electrician, this kit is perfect for any home owner or contractor. The sturdy carry case is packed with 14 hole saws (3/4”, 7/8”, 1-1/8”, 1-3/8”, 1-1/2”, 1-3/4”, 2”, 2-1/4”, 2-1/2”, 2-5/8”, 3”, 3-5/8”, 4-1/8” and 4-3/4”) , 2 Arbors, and 3 pilot drill bits. The hole saws have slots cut in to the side to allow you to easily remove the material plug you created when cutting a hole. I used a small 1 1/4” blade to cut a bathroom countertop, and a large 4” blade to cut an AC vent in to a metal workshop wall. The hole saws performed flawlessly on both. There was no judder or binding of the blades, and they made light work of the job at hand. The manufacturer guarantees the teeth against breakage (not normal wear and tear) with a lifetime warranty - now that is a company that is sure of the quality of their product.

          Neatness Counts!
A great starter kit, and maybe all you will need. The case is well designed for quick access to the right size hole saw. Comes with 14 Hole saws, 2 Arbors, and 3 pilot bits. Designed to cut holes through any sort of surface material including stainless steel and iron. The "All Access Slots" really do make it easier to remove plugs. It is easy to work the screw driver around at every angle so you can cut more than one hole without worrying if the plug will come out. The hinge on the case is usually the first thing to go on my cases. The hinges on this case are not just the folded plastic that eventually cracks. Each half of the the case has its own hinge. The hinge rod is silicone or some other form of plastic so it may give at some point but much later than the plastic hinge. Since they are real hinges you could replace them. There are metal buckles to keep the case shut which should last a very long time. It also comes with a pilfer resistant hole for a lock or zip tie when you are on a job with wandering eyes.
