I have owned this set for 5 years. No issues or problems as of yet. Not to take away from any other brand out there competing for our business, milwaukee drill and impact set is still going strong.

Rusted while sitting in my garage over the summer
These drill bits rusted in the closed case while in my garage and now it takes a takes extra effort to try and get them out of the case, which already took a wrench prior to the rust.

Purchased a set a few weeks ago from my local HD store, they looked as good or better than the DeWalt PilotPoint bits (which I can't seem to find anymore) so I went ahead and bought the 23 piece set. Didn't get to use them until a few days ago, I'm drilling into steel with my DeWalt 20V impact driver, and next thing you know, SNAP!! The 5/32 bit snapped right in half, brand new. I called up Milwaukee customer service and they said that these bits are rated for impact drivers, I have my doubts about that, they were nice enough to mail me a new bit out to my home but I told the CS rep I won't be using these in my impact anymore, I expected the quality to be much better than Harbor Freight. I wish DeWalt would bring back the PilotPoint bit set, never had one snap on me and I've used them for years, I still have a coffee can with DeWalt bits like 10 years old that are still good, so I'm a bit taken aback. Should not say "impact duty" on the packaging.

walking all over wood
even in a not so hard wormy maple brand new bits walk out of the package. the dewalt split point is FAR superior and unfortunately I have to go somewhere else to get them.I took a picture hope it comes out right. our first walked on sapele wood which is harder than oak. but that's to be somewhat expected but them it walked on the wormy maple...now that's ridiculous!

I contacted Milwaukee regarding this kit. I am a regular homeowner/hobbiest (not a contractor) but I own a lot of Milwaukee tools. Made a decision back several years and stuck with RED. I was not pleased that the kit Does Not come with the bag pictured. That was a big part of the plan, separate my M12 tools and accessories from my M18 which came with the taller bag pictured.
The M12 kit (bag) is a Flat bag barely able to fit the two(2) tools that came in it.
So far Milwaukee has not responded, if they do I will update but so far they are not interested in addressing the obvious issue. For this reason I say value is fair at best.
IMO loyalty should be rewarded with at least an offer to swap the bag for one that is clearly represented in all pictures associated with this kit.

I'm a handyman and use these tools 3-4 days a week. The included batteries run down on medium size jobs... but upgrade to the bigger batteries and you'll be happy. I've had my set for over 2 years and they still work great. When the set and bigger batteries are on sale (Black Friday) they are an incredible bargain. These replaced for my tired, heavy Milwaukee 18V NiCad tools. The 12V Li Ion does everything they could.

Great assortment of drill bits that are stored in a durable compact case. I have been using this set for nearly a year on different materials and the bits have remained sharp and true. The 1/4" base is great in cordless drills as you don't have to expand and tighten the jaws much to fit all the various sizes. My only gripe is the bits can be difficult to remove from their slots, sometimes needing needle-nose pliers to get them out of the case. This is definitely my go-to set of drill bits and store easily in my toolbox.

A great value for titanium drill bits compared to buying 2 or 3 individual at the same cost for a set of 23. I have purchased 2 sets in a month but that's to be expected when drilling through 6 gauge metal hundreds of times. I gave a 4 out of 5 due to not being able to sharpen and reuse.

I've had this set for about a year and a half and I just bought another set for my sister who's always doing projects around her house and cabin. I also have the M18 set, it's heavy duty for sure, but I find that this size is perfect for 95% of the jobs I & my wife need to do (she love using it too!). It's light, compact and the front LED light is so helpful. The battery run time is also great, it's never been an issue for me. You can see right on the left side the battery level meter as you're working, so you can check it before you go up the ladder or into the attic or crawlspace! LOL....The only difference in the batteries from the 1 to the 4 amp hour is the length of run time, it has no effect on the power of the drill while using it. The batteries are small enough to put in your pocket or tool belt pouch, but what ever you do make sure there is nothing metal like coins in your pocket or nails & screws in the tool pouch!!!
My only issue is the location of the forward reverse/switch and how it works. I'm always hitting it by accident. It's actually a 3 way switch that goes thru the body, the middle setting is a lock, so many a time I go to use the drill and the trigger won't go down! I then have to stop what I'm doing and figure out which way the slide switch needs to be to go forward (up looking on the left side) After having Makita drills for 25 years with a slide switch on the back that never ever got in the way...this switch has been kind of a pain in the butt. There is a little arrow in the black switch itself, but it just a depressed arrow with no color like white, so it's very hard to see. A pic below shows what I ended up doing one day in frustration, grabbing a permanent marker and writing on the side which way the switch should be! You would think down would be forward and up would be backward right???? (the direction of a screw) I am also a little surprised that that the paint of the raised Milwaukee logo is coming off so easily.
The clutch works great for assembling things that have a bunch of bolts that you want everything to have the same tightness. The 2 speeds also come in handy for some jobs. The batteries themselves can be a little hard to take off at first, but once you've used it for a while it gets easier, but someone with hand issues might have a problem removing them as you have to squeeze both sides of the battery while pulling it out.
Overall, I'm very happy with the whole M12 line of products and own about 20 M12 tools and another 10 M18. Each is well made and made to last. This fantastic selection of tools was the main reason I jumped ship and moved to Milwaukee tools...

Very pleased with M12 Combo Kit I purchased; solid action but lightweight; now I don't have to pull out 2 miles of extension cords and use my old (ancient) and heavy drills. Especially like the racheting heads - way easier on my 65 year old hands; Satisfied with the premium aspects of the Milwaukee products;

Great battery life and torque for a smaller 12 volt set. Very well constructed, solid and sturdy. Battery indicator is a great help to verify a full charge before you set out up the ladder.

Better than anticipated. Purchased mostly for the additional battery's, however after using the impact driver it has become my daily go to tool.
Was using Rigid 18 volt, but due to Milwaukee's weight, and power, I've put the Rigid to rest. Nothing wrong with the Rigid, but going up and down ladders, carrying multiple tools, the weight of the Milwaukee is much easier to carry and work with. Nothing wrong with Rigid, and id I need additional power I'll pull it out, however so far haven't found an application where I need to.

I purchased the M12 cordless drill driver/impact driver in a slightly different set (had right angle head on the drill) and absolutely love it. The batteries charge quickly and last a long time under use. The impact driver is fantastic - I did buy the drill bit set to complement this setup. The only minor nit that I have is that it is too easy to push the "forward/reverse" button when you are using it. But other than that - absolutely delighted with it.

The drill bit itself worked well, but the 1/2" bit sheered off from the chuck area the first time I used it to drill into an aluminum tube. Aluminum is much to soft to have caused this bit to snap, especially on its first use. The smaller bits have held up better, but considering the fact that the largest bit, which played a large part in my determination to buy the kit only worked once, I can not recommend them. I expected better from a Shockwave set.
