Very versitile driver
Super nice driver with 4 very useful chucks. You get your standard chuck and hex chuck along with your offset and angle chuck. The angle chuck can accept the 3 other chucks but can be used on its own also. The driver has plenty of power for the jobs that you would be most likely to use it for. Overall I would definitely recommend this driver.

SUMMARY: ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE TOOLS. BACKGROUND: I have a dozen Milwaukee tools, and several drills, drivers, and impact drivers, but this is now my favorite drill/driver. FIT AND FINISH: My first M12 tool, I was surprised by the light weight, but durable construction. A good mid-weight tool, the M12 batteries fit in the handle allowing the tool to stand on it’s base. The interchangeable heads seem durable. OPERATION: Attach the head you need and go to work! The ¼ in drive stub with magnetic bit holder handled bit for most of the work I use the driver for. I did use the drill head to hold a pilot hole bit and was able to quickly and easily swap the drill head on and off to use the bare drive stub for driving screws. I removed about 100 deck screws in an outdoor table and replaced them with stainless-steel screws and did it all using ¼ of the battery charge. Later I used the drill for a pilot hole to tap a piece of angle iron for an 8mm bolt. Everything worked up to Milwaukee standards. I did discover one thing I really don’t like about this tool. The direction switch is a push button on the top of the driver instead of the more traditional left-right push button. The location, on top of the tool, means you have to make a separate effort to change direction, and you must look at the indicator to see the selected direction. A second issue is the built-in work light. A common failing in drills and drivers with built-in lights, it points just past the end of the driver. But with attachments and bits installed it shines “behind” the bits. A broader light pattern would be much more usable. SUMMARY: A most welcomed addition to my tool collection! PROS: Nice weight, powerful, easy to use CONS: Electronic direction switch is much more cumbersome than a traditional button. Light doesn’t point at work surface.

This Milwaukee Driver set is by farm one of the best cordless drivers I have ever owned. It is light powerful and full of great features that make place it as my go to tool. There are four interchangeable heads that are quick change. 3/8 drill chuck adapter, 1/4 hex adapter, right angle adapter and a offset adapter. The forward and reverse button is located on the top of the tool which makes it easy to use your thumb. It also has a light that is activated once the trigger is initialized. The kit comes with two batteries a charger and a nice carrying case.

This tool is a great addition to the Milwaukee M12 lineup. It features an inline grip with four attachable heads. The main tool has a magnetic quarter inch hex drive opening that can take standard quarter inch bits. Additionally you can attach one of the four heads (3/8 drill chuck, 1/4 locking driver, 1/4 offset driver and right angle). When using the right angle you can then attach one of the other three heads. While each head can be adjusted in 16 different positions, this is really only useful for the right angle attachment providing a lot of flexibility to reach your fastener. In use, I found the head attachment was more difficult than I was expecting. When I try to put on a head attachment it seems like I have the hex connector lined up but it is not and will not slide into position. It takes some wiggling/turning to get it in the right position to slide on. Then you have to pull back the collar and rotate the head until the positional locks are in place allowing the head to full seat. Removal of the head is simple. Just slide the collar back and pull it off. The directional controls are electronic and for me this is a disappointment. I would much rather have a slide switch on the handle that I can easily bump with my thumb. I have the same feeling about the directional lock. I would rather have a switch I put into the middle position than the electronic press down for three seconds to lock that this tool includes. Torque is rated at 300 inch pounds and speed is 0-400 RPM on setting one and 0-1600 RPM on setting two. The kit includes two CP2.0 batteries, a charger and a soft side contractor bag. I dislike the soft bags and prefer the blow mold cases. The soft side with the hook and loop straps will experience tearing of the straps from the case over time as the weight of the tool tug at the attachment point. The four heads are also separated by some dividers that are attached with hook and loop and they eventually come loose as well.

Very compact and high powered hand tool. Everyone knows the hassle of having to constantly switch between driver and drill bits. Most people solve it by having separate drills and drivers. Milwaukee solved it by keeping one tool and making interchangeable heads that quickly switch out. In addition this set has both 90 degree and a 1" offset extensions to help reach out of the way spots - see picture. The batteries are also compact and last a long time. The charge remaining is indicated by 4 lights so you know just how much juice is left. I used mine an hour and still had 4 lights. In-Out direction is indicated by arrows at the top and can be switched with the thumb - see photo. There is a light to illuminate the work spot and the front has a magnetic strip for screws, bits, etc. So nice to find a tool that's cool, tough and really works too.

Finally a family of tools that uses the same battery for all the tools presented. Changing the heads is easy enough once you get used to it. The Large drill head accommodates large drill bits. The small head allows for getting closer to the work. The offset head allowed for getting into close situations where driving a screw into a 2x4 would force you into an angled delivery instead of straight. The battery took one hour to completely charge and I was able to work 4 hours on installing shelves before a recharge was needed. I especially like the light weight but heavy duty power of this unit.

This has become my favorite go-to drill/driver. It's light weight, and very versatile. The interchangeable heads fit securely and are the cause of the versatility. I suppose the only drawback is the M12 battery pack, which does not last as long as the M18. However, this set includes two batteries, plus the charger, which provides me with more than enough power for my purposes, so far. Recommended!

I'd like to start by saying that I am a big fan of the Milwaukee m12 lineup. I have a lot of m12 tools and, as a function of that, too many batteries and chargers which is why I purchased the tool only kit. I also own a lot of Festool tools and, as many of you probably know, this is Milwaukee's response to Festool's CSX installed drill. I won't compare the two but for a handful of reasons I returned my CSX and have been waiting for this drill to come out. The Good: This drill has a ton of power/torque in a small, well balanced package. This drill offers a ton of versatility with its included chucks. You've got a standard 1/4" hex chuck. You've got an offset chuck which lets you use 1/4" hex bits while keeping your drill very close to the work piece. You've got a jacobs chuck which is, well, a jacobs chuck. Finally, you've got a 90 degree chuck which can either work by itself with a 1/4" hex bit or you can attach any of the other three attachments to it to extend its functionality. The C style drill is not new to the market but it's certainly new to US big box stores. The LED, belt clip, and magnetic bit/screw holder on the front bar extend its functionality but the best thing about the form factor is the balance it provides when using the drill. When using a drill like this it will take a lot of North Americans a while to get used to their middle finger on the trigger and index finger extended along the side of the drill but once they try that position it will feel better. These drills are definitely not designed to be used with the index finger on the trigger. The so/so: While the position of the fwd/rev switch is in "the good" for me, the fact that you can't tell if the drill is in forward or reverse when you first pick up the drill is in my "the bad" category. Lots of people complain about the location of the switch but, as you can see in the attached picture, when you hold the drill with the proper grip for a C style drill (middle finger on the trigger) your thumb can trivially work the fwd/rev switch. That said, without the standard fwd/rev toggle switch you can't just "feel" whether or not the drill is in forward or reverse. When you pick the drill up you either need to pull the trigger for a second or push the fwd/rev button once to get the light to light up and tell you which mode it's in. The bad: The bag is a joke. I mean a living, breathing joke. They took a normal Milwaukee bag and stuck a bunch of terrible hook and loop straps in it. The "dividers" for the attachments are also attached with hook and loop and are completely incapable of staying put together through use. For me, the drill sits on my bench most of the day so it's no big deal but if I traveled with it I'd demote the whole tool a star or two for how bad it is. Did I mention it's bad? It is. To add insult to injury the NAINA (Not available in North America) tool that this follows up has a great case. It's one of those nice blown plastic ones that keeps everything just so. I've included a picture for comparison. The other bummer, for me, is that if you use an XC battery the drill doesn't balance very well. For the most part, every m12 tool I have is better off with an XC battery on the bottom. This tool, on the other hand, is definitely designed to best complement the small batteries. When you stick an XC battery on it the front of the handle no longer touches the ground and it's very front heavy. All in all I'm happy this tool is here. I really like the feel and performance of the tool and the shortcomings that I see aren't enough for serious complaint. I do feel a little insulted by the bag. It's pathetic. Honestly I'd fire whomever let a tool of this caliber ship with a bag like that.

What a good deal this is! Milwaukee just keeps on impressing me more with each new product and I really love this compact drill (only about 2 lbs.). You don't need to be a professional installer to enjoy all the features of this tool. It is so versatile and the slim profile lets me use it in so many places where my other drills just won't reach. I'm still discovering more of the capabilities of this amazing drill. Even though it is 12V rather than 18V, it has enough power for whatever I need to do. It has a choice of drilling or driving mode, work light, battery status light, torque selector, High/Low speed selector, removable belt clip, magnetic bit storage (bits not included), and Forward/Reverse/Lock LED control button on the top within thumb's reach. I love the textured non-slip coating on the grip and the easy-to-each, variable speed trigger. Included in the box: Paper manuals for the drill/batteries/charger, zippered cloth storage case with compartments,velcro-type ties, and 2 pockets (1 zippered) on the lid. Inside includes the drill, (2) M12 batteries, charger, (4) attachments: 3/8" keyless ratcheting chuck, 1/4" hex, right angle, and offset. I like the feature of the right angle and offset attachments having the ability to rotate 360° with 16 preset detents. These attachments can easily be switched with one hand and without tools. The charger has a 6 foot, 2-prong electric cord and status LED lights. The status lights display Red for charging, Green for charging completed, Flashing Red for overheating, and Flashing Red/Green for damaged battery. The battery does need a strong push to snap it into the charger. Another good feature of this kit is that the drill comes with a 5-year warranty and the battery comes with a 2-year warranty.

This is the ultimate basic home-owner power tool kit for drills. The 12V motor has a drill head, a driver head, a right-angle head to fit around corners using either drill or driver and an offset driver head to get into stud walls. Also has a 12V charger for the batteries. Not the 18V/12V charger. Pros will probably best be served by individual tools. The motor has a small magnetic storage indent for bits. The complete drill/driver is lightweight and small to handle for all users. And it is lighted. The heads are heavy duty and handle more torque than expected. The motor is stronger than expected. With the 12V you get good power and only need more battery if you are doing a lot of work. Comes with 2 batteries and they charge quickly. Great for home size jobs. Comes with a nice carry case to keep the parts organized. 12V battery charges quickly.

Its more compact and lightweight than I thought it would be - it’s only 5.4” long and 7.3” tall (see photo). On top of the body there is a 2 speed slide control switch and a 3 position push button for selecting “forward” “reverse” and “lock” (see photo). Slide lock collars allow quick and easy changes between the Drill Chuck, Right Angle attachment, Offset attachment and the 1/4" Hex attachment. I use this primarily as a hex driver – I found that the Hex Attachment did not have to be used, since the Drill/Driver spindle has a magnetized socket – this makes a light, compact and powerful driver – 2.03 pounds with the 2.0Ah battery. The Offset attachment allows using the driver within 3/8” of an adjacent surface (see photo). The torque is very impressive for a 12V system. The Right Angle attachment allows drilling and driving where space is limited, other attachments can be locked onto its spindle. The Drill chuck makes this a lightweight 3/8” drill – only 2.5 pounds. In addition to the 1/4” hex spindle on the Drill/Driver, the Offset attachment and the Right Angle attachment also have a magnetic (very strong) spindle/socket – in the case of the Drill/Driver and Right Angle attachment allows us as a driver as is without the 1/4" Hex Attachment (see photo). The Hex Attachment does have the advantage of a locking bit collar.

This is an excellent cordless drill and screwdriver. It comes with two rechargeable batteries so you will never run out of power. The batteries charge very quickly. This piece is lightweight and comfortable to use. Fits well in the hand. It comes with 4 attachment heads of different angles, so you will be able to use this in almost any space or situation that comes up. LOTS of power. I was able to drill into concrete with minimal effort. I can do things with this that I never considered attempting with my heavy & bulky corded drill/driver. HIGHLY recommended

I use the M12 Rover service light to inspect the finish on my cabinet doors, cabinets, and other woodworking projects. The M12 4-1 is great for installing hinges, drawer fronts on cabinets and other tight spots. The offset attachment is great for drilling and installing screws that need to be close to obstructs such as cabinet walls.

      Almost perfection!!!
Driver is light weight and powerful. Very comfortable to hold. The right angle is a life saver and the offset works really well too. Forward / Reverse takes a little getting used to, and it’s not super stable when standing on its own. I would still definitely recommend this tool.

      Perfect for every application
I use this daily in boats to get into tight spaces. I need an offset head or 90° bend very often to reach in corners and angled compartments so this driver solves all those problems with 1 single tool.

Outstanding tool. So many uses it's incredible. It's perfect for many light duty jobs. And being that it's an M12 it's light enough to use overhead with fatigue.
