Absolutely love this thing, didn't think I'd use it much but I do. -Very lightweight & well built -Tons of torque - pull the trigger on full battery and it'll twist in your hand a bit -Great for installing cabinets attaching face frames -Throw a drill brush or buffing pad on it, you can deep clean carpets & upholstery, buff your windshield or headlights (feels more natural than an actual drill to me for this purpose) -The 1.5 battery last plenty long for me -Light underneath chuck is helpful

I often buy Milwaukee tools, but I have been disappointed with the quality of my recent purchases. However, this particular tool is not one of them. It works great and has impressive power. I am happy to have it in my collection.

I've had this saw for a couple of years. Like all my m12 tools, one of its biggest strengths is its small size. I've used it to cut metal and pvc pipes and it performed great, but I mostly use it with a pruning blade around the yard for trimming branches. The lightweight means you can easily handle it with one hand and hold onto the branch with your other hand. I've even used it to cut down our Christmas tree the last couple years!

I want to leave this review for people like myself who read countless reviews trying to decide between the M18 Fuel and the M12 Fuel versions of this tool for cutting tree limbs instead of a chainsaw. My need was a smaller tree had come down in our yard and needed to be cut up for disposal. The largest diameter of the trunk was around 6-7 inches. This saw got it done with very little struggle, and I was very pleased to not have to deal with a return and having to spend more for the M18. The saw is hefty but small, and insanely powerful. Here it is pared with a Milwaukee 9" 5tpi wood with nails rated blade that I had on hand. If what you're trying to cut is any larger than this, then I would move up to the M18, but the value for the M12 fuel saw is insanely high, and I cannot recommend this one enough.

Nice saw, had other m12 hackzall, this one has more power, seems sturdier..So far so good.

This tool worked very well for me, good compact size and plenty of torque. Would recommend. My new go to tools are Milwaukee.

I've always used 18 volt tools but needed a smaller one to fit between joists and HVAC systems/appliances. This is the perfect size and weight. It has enough power for what I need it for. I wouldn't use it for major drilling or anything. I've been using milwaukee for over 20 years and although their quality has gone down a little, they are still very reliable. Batteries have gotten a lot better over the last decade or so, also.

Even though I have only owned the hackzall for a short period of time, I have had the opportunity to use it many times. The hacksall is small enough to fit in many tight quarters and is much better than pulling out the full size sawzall. Even though the kit did not come with the 4.0Ah battery as advertised, the 2.0Ah batteries I have give it plenty of power to cut through a multitude of materials. The tool itself is light weight and was designed ergonomically for long periods of use.

Typical Milwaukee quality, strong and very sturdy! It could be a bit lighter, but it is balanced very well so that the weight is not that noticeable when cutting pipe etc. Also, the larger battery is worth the weight. My daughter is an apprentice electrician and she loves it! The special at Home Depot was a big plus as well; buy the saw kit and get two free batteries!! Outstanding deal!

small, powerful , I use this on 2" pvc , and battery last long, I can get in small spots where I would never be able to with a regular size sawzall, the bag is a tough canvas that has a professional look to it, im a firm believer that when you invest in tools , just get the best and leave the headaches for the rest .. and another great tool I also picked up that goes perfect with this tool is the pipe shear cutters

I found this to be a good saw to have for the occasional job that requires a reciprocating saw. I have used, but not previously owned a reciprocating saw so can't really compare it to others. If you regularly do a lot of heavy duty work with this type of saw this is probably not the one for you. Its somewhat compact and light but has good power. The design allows you to place your second hand either on top, for pushing down, or around the bottom for steadying the saw better. Either way the saw has a small guard that keeps your hand from the blade. There is an automatic light that shines on your cutting surface when you pull the trigger and a battery indicator when in use. Changing the blades is very easy. You simply twist the spring-loaded chuck, slide the blade in or out, and release the chuck. The battery charger is a bit large, but it comes with a nice durable carrying bag for everything and could easily fit a second tool such as a cordless drill. I would recommend this if you don't have a reciprocating saw and just need one around for those jobs where only this type of saw will do.

Just a really handy tool to have to reach hard to get to places. It's got plenty of power and fits a battery that I have for numerous other tools in this particular Milwaukee family. I have the drill, flashlight, remote camera and drill dirver as well as this new tool. There's really nothing this powerful and small out there to get between a furnace and a return air to take out screws that were put in before they ever attached the return air.(See picture)

Right tool for the job.

It's needed in areas that are tough to reach and the pricing was good.

Drill chuck is stack, i can't take the bit, claim the warranty it a pain, home depot said call Milwaukee, and then not respond.

Bought as companion to have extra battery for M12 fuel shop vac. Nice design but haven’t used it yet.

This was just what I've been looking for to reach a bolt with a minimum clearance. Torque was more than adequate to break bolts loose!
