This urinal auger is just the right tool for cleaning out clogs on wall mounted urinals. It comes complete with a Milwaukee 12 volt batter and charger, and a really cool little power unit. While there are versions of this auger available with a hand crank, the power unit makes this thing a breeze to use. Simple charge up the batter and install in the power unit, then attach the power unit to the main auger using it's quick connect that is similar to the way bits attach to impact drivers. Once you have it ready to go, it's simply a matter of positioning it over the urinal drain and lunging in the auger coil while activating the power head. Drains clear like magic! It can also be used on sinks and if careful, toilets too. Note that there is a unit made especially for toilets that is a bit easier to use when clearing clogs on them.

This tool is really designed more for the professionals then for an average home owner. That being said, it is a well made tool that can prove to be useful even for us average joes. I have other Milwaukee tools that use the M12 battery (and even a couple coats) so I figured this would be a nice addition to my collection. I am trying to locate the 6 ft. toilet adapter but am having a difficult time. I assumed when I got this that it would be interchangeable but I may have been wrong about that. However, this is still useful for bathtubs and sinks. If this is the kind of thing you do for a living I think this would be a very valuable tool.

Works well when your kid stuffs paper towels in the shop urinal. The protective boot keeps the porcelain from getting scratched and is a nice cushion to the vibrations when using the tool. Once you attach the powerhead much like a impact driver with lots of gear reduction, you unlock the tool so you can feed it in and work on the blockage. You can feel it when it reaches a mess of paper lodged in the plumbing. The only problem there always is with these types of tools is cleaning them so have a HD 5 gallon bucket handy with a cleaning solution and always use gloves. I would love it if there was a blow molded plastic clean sleeve to cover the end of the dirty tool after use when it is stored instead of relying on a bucket.

Great tool when you have a toddler...
Well, I do not typically have a need for one of these in my daily work however, I thought with a toddler running around, it might be a good idea to have one since I already a wealth of M12 & M18 tools. All I can say is that one day we had too much toilet paper stuffed in the toilet and bam, I needed this right away. First I shut off the water to avoid too much overflow (this is key for those of you that panic when the toilet overflows...just shut off the water) I got my cleaning gloves, snake and a fresh battery and unlocked the snake while feeding it in. I like that it has a protective curved boot so the porcelain is not damaged. It worked well and you feel the resistance when it hits the blockage and chews a hole through it. It seems the powerhead has quite a bit of torque which got my mind wondering if there was any other use for the powerhead, or is it dedicated to just this snake?! Well, it cleared the blockage fairly easily and then, not thinking ahead enough, what to do with this now dirty tool. A bucket of bleach, anything to clean the twisted wire before latching it on the side of the uprite?!!! Now I have a HD 5-gallon bucket that it will stand in. I see the potential for further development with a protective cover for the dirty end for storage because I did seem to find a hang loop.

Heavy Duty
First thing it is great to see the battery is the same as I have on several other M12 tools, so it is great I always have a charged battery. This tool was surprisingly heavy and sturdy. I have used manual snakes of different designs - none have as structural of an auger as this does - very impressive. I have also used powered auger (drill style) - the problem is finding an outlet and dealing with the cord. This is very convenient being cordless and has plenty of power to work through any obstruction I would expect to encounter.

Nice kit handles most fixture clogs.
For the most part these will work like other augers They're spun from the top and pushed down. When you need more length you lock the handle, press the button on the bar to release the snake and get more of the coil out and then wind and push down through the clog. The kit comes with an M12 battery, charger, 6ft auger for toilets, 4 foot auger for urinals and floor drains. The main difference between this and other augers is the cables are replaceable and it has a battery powered tool to do the cranking. The driver uses an M12 battery. I have a number of tools that use the M12 batteries and I'm been impressed by their performance and durability. Milwaukee's M12 and M18 batteries seem really well designed and made. I haven't had one fail yet in maybe 3 or more years. This kit is really geared towards a professional plumber or maintenance staff that maintains a building with many toilets, urinals and/or showers. This might be a little too much for your average homeowner that my need to use it once every couple of years or less. The driver is lightweight and has a variable trigger that can be switched between forward and reverse. The shape of the driver makes it more comfortable to use the auger than using a different type of auger and a power drill. The variable speed control gives you precise control of the speed. Everything worked as expected. The rubber boots protect the porcelain fixtures well. Only hiccup I had was I couldn't figure out how to lock and unlock the handle for extending the cable at first. The lock/unlock icon seems backwards to me but I eventually figured it out. You pull up on the top handle to lock then push down to unlock. Another minor nitpick is I think it would have been nice if this kit came with the optional manual handle. If the power head or battery dies you don't have many options other than the manual crank. The quick release chuck is on the auger, not the power head. If your battery or auger dies you can't easily connect it to another tool like a drill until you get the driver sorted out. Overall though it's still a very useful kit that will speed up dealing with clogs if you have a lot of toilets to maintain.

Excellent auger duo for clearing sluggish draining on urinals and commodes
This combo toilet and urinal auger duo powered by Milwaukee's M12 batteries makes it a complete kit to unclog and clear the occasional sluggish draining of bathroom fixtures. Comes complete with a starter M12 Lithium-Ion battery and a M12 charger. Each of the drain augers can also be used manually by attaching a manually operated " turning handle" (at optional cost) versus the actual M12 power drive. This kit is NOT your homeowners quality but solidly built for industrial/commercial use. No worries ever should the auger cables need replacement as "everything" right down to screws are available from Milwaukee. If this is your first Milwaukee M12 tool you will be please to know the battery and charger are transferable to power Milwaukee's other cordless M12 power tool line including their winter clothing heated jackets. I do wish Milwaukee would have also included at least one of the handles so I could use these augers "manually". Tip for you Milwaukee....if you included a combination M12/M18 battery charger instead of just the plain M12 charger it would make it more enticing for your prospective Milwaukee customers over to being a M18 tool convert..... just saying'

Rechargeable toilet auger/snake....no more manual turning
Wow! This 12-volt M12 powered toilet bowl auger arrived in perfect condition thanks to Milwaukee "double boxing" in heavy corrugated shipping boxes. Comes complete with a starter M12 lithium-ion M12 battery and charger. This is NOT your homeowner grade toilet auger but instead a industrial/commercial grade toilet auger and will give many years of reliable use. Much heavier than competitor's manually spun toilet augers and will definitely give the Ridgid K6 manual auger a run for the money. This is my first ever non-manually operated toilet auger and using it the first time is a "night and day" difference. No more splitting my attention manually turning a handle while "feeling" for toilet obstructions. I can now devote my efforts on "feeling" for toilet obstructions especially if you have delicate "lead bends" which are notorious for springing leaks if roughly manhandled. My only disappointments is the fact Milwaukee does NOT provide the optional handle to manually operate this auger. Why Milwaukee? .... it couldn't cost but a few dollars more to include this handle as part of the kit! The charger provided with this kit is only a M12 charger and NOT the combination M12 and M18 combined charger. If Milwaukee upgraded this auger kit with a combination M12/M18 dual charger it would easily drive more attention and sales towards their M18 product lines...Milwaukee are you listening?
