It's super quiet compared to my nearly 15yr old (but still running strong self propelled Toro mower). All my comments below will be a direct comparison to my current gas mower. The good stuff: - Wheels must have sealed roller bearings inside because they roll very smooth. It is VERY easy to push/maneuver the mower around even without the self propelled motor - Locking detents for the collapsible handle is a nice touch - I've rarely needed to mow into the sunset, but it's nice to have some lights - Dual rapid charger charges both batteries at once so much quicker recover time The OK stuff: - The grass clipping bag is a super tight fit, straight forward install but one side of the anchors is stretched and not latching as cleanly as the other side - Dual rapid chargers make a lot of noise, almost like there is a fan inside to dissipate heat or something is just humming while charging. A slight annoyance, but my single rapid charger does the same thing, just not as loud. The Unknown: - Time will tell how reliable this will be. I've had my gas mower for 15 years and with my minimal DIY skills have managed to repair and keep it running in perfect order. This mower is all electric, so there is nothing serviceable other than to replace parts, which can get very expensive very fast since everything is proprietary to Milwaukee.

I own M18 batteries, size 3, 5, 6 (2 of these) and 8 in addition to (2) HD 12.0 this review is of just the 12.0 version. Others all holding charges and recharging properly. I use lightly for my own homes only. Neither of the 12.0 take full charge and one though green on charger does not even register any charge on indicator light. Defective cell. I suspect I have recharged them at most about a dozen times and they are stored inside living area (not subject to extreme temps) These batteries specifically seem defective in design from what I have seen on line with people disassembling then charging individual cells to get all cells balanced.

Love these 12ah batteries in all my OPE equipment and heavy duty tools. Can be kind of heavy and bulky for your smaller m18 tools, but when you need the power and run time on more demanding tools theres no better choice. Ive been running 4 12ah batteries for about 3 years now and issues. This 3 pack is a great deal

Ok power for the weight. I would think that the 12.0 would last at least twice as long as the 5.0 but that is not the case.

I’ve only used this mower about four times. My son wanted to help mow the grass and he accidentally hit this extremely small stump, pictured below, with the mower and the motor completely ripped out of the mower deck. The mower deck must be made out of some kind of plastic. For a top-of-the-line mower of this price tag, I think this is ridiculous! When I called the Milwaukee customer service, they said that I had to drive it to a repair center before they could let me know whether or not it would be covered. This repair center, which doesn’t take phone calls, is between one and two hours away depending on traffic. After much pleading, she finally agreed to find out if it would be under warranty. After sending her the pictures below, she said it would not be under warranty. I made the investment in this mower because I thought I would have it for many years, and I got about four uses out of it. I have a ton of Milwaukee tools I like, but Definitely avoid this mower!!! It is more of a toy than a lawnmower.

This thing is an absolute monster. With my old gas mower, I used to not be able to mulch while mowing without bogging down my mower. This mower handles with ease. I mow about 1/3 acre only using half battery life on the highest setting.

Need a replacement part (28-41-0018 rear guard service kit). Only way to get the part replace free under warranty is to take the entire lawn mower to a service center. This is a major pain to pack up an entire lawn mower for a simple part that can be repaired at home with 3 screws. This isn't a hand tool I can easily load into the back of my vehicle. I know Rigid will sends replacement warranty parts free by mail so I would reconsider this purchase if I were you.

Using with my Milwaukee blower. On “fast”, the battery only lasts about 20 minutes, before having to charge.

This spring there was huge dead patches in my beautiful new sod lawn, I contacted the turf farm because I had used all the recommended fertilizers brand new topsoil and sod, I showed them the pictures and they said it was caused from the mulch left from the mower not picking up, we always used grass catcher and we cut on #3 height on high vacuum then mowed it twice each direction once a week to get any leftover grass that was uncut. I mow my entire lawn (100’x70’) and get a handful of clippings

I used it for my leaf blower and my 16 inch chainsaw. I have never ran out of battery time with a 12.0 amp battery. they are also tough they can handle a good fall

Where to start, right off the bat it came with 2 M18 12amp batteries! The mower has sufficient power to mow my 1/4 acre yard and still having 2 bars left. I bought the mower so my kids can help mow when I’m at work and it delivers the power and ease.

Purchased this to link up with my m18 16” chainsaw. Works awesome! Gives me plenty of runtime to get things done around the yard. Liking everything about this battery.

These batteries are dated from 2019, so if i have an issue with them in a year, it wont be covered under the warranty.

This battery came with my Milwaukee Chain Saw. When new it performed well, long run time and plenty of power , however after 12 to 15 cycles the battery was once again charged and set aside for about a month. When I went to install it into the saw I noticed one flashing white dot on the charge indicator. I checked the battery with a voltage meter and it indicated a full charge. Installed in the saw it did not work. Placed back on the charger it produced an alternating red/green light. It is now a door stop dud.

2 year old and no longer charge, not good at all and very spensive !!!

I have a few of these. I think they are the best size/weight to output. I recently got the M18 XC6.0 FORGE; which might be my new favorite?

Remember when Milwaukee stood behind their products? Those days are over. I purchased this mower at my local Home Depot in September. There was no bag of hardware or parts to assemble it anywhere in the box. I contacted Milwaukee four times. When I did get someone to help, I had to look up every part for them because they wouldn't do it. That was September 27th and they promised the replacement parts would go out that same day. I'm pretty sure they didn't send the parts. I had to buy my own.

This battery worked great when I first got it. What I’m finding now that maybe after 10 charges it was feeling that it was less than the 12 AH capacity. As in it was done before it used to be on my property. I’ve put it in drills and tried to use it versus having it in my trimmer. When it is completely dead, the tool stops when I push the button it shows one light flashing, so I will then put it on my charger and instantly my charger shows two lights And it only takes maybe an hour to go to capacity and the light turned green. I have a MAH tester that I made and it shows me this battery only is 3.449ah now. I’m so curious why. I have original 4AH and 5AH batteries That are a lot older than this one that are still running solid. This is a super expensive battery. I tried adding to my inventory and I fairly disappointed in the quality of this. I would very much like to speak to somebody about this.

After 4 weeks of using the mower, the blade came off when I pushed the start button and it dropped in the dirt next to the mower. I emailed Milwaukee tech support on Tuesday. They claim to respond within 48 hours. By Friday, no answer. I called 1-800-Sawdust. Customer service told me the tech support guys already went home. (It was still business hours). I normally buy power tools from another brand but this expensive mower had convinced me. Now I am not even sure whether it is safe to use.

I bought it recently with my high torque 1/2 impact and I used the battery for maybe 5 minutes from full charge and it died completely and was flashing and now won’t charge past 3 bars

I am a Milwaukee fan, but this 12 amp battery was a complete waste of money. It was new and I used it maybe three times and it would no longer hold a charge. Unfortunate that such a great company stuck me with such a worthless battery.

Batteries do NOT hold up like my original 5 amp battery. I find myself charging them before end of day. Now theses are suppose to be 6amp more capablity .. & capacity.. reaching out to help desk to see if I can inquire about this problem.

The lawn mower was easy to setup and comes with two giant batteries but it pretty much stops there. This is a $300 mower with batteries you can use with your other tools. While mowing the mower hit a piece of metal and the motor housing fell off rendering the mower a piece of lawn art. Milwaukee now is servicing mower for $400 and the mower will only be used to mow pristine fairways at Augusta now. The LED lights are cool.

Bought the 12 amp hour battery for my quick attach string trimmer, but it does not run it with full charge. It will operate for about 7 mins. I do not recommend wasting money on the 12 amp hour battery.

PLEASE NOTE: This one star review is only about the 12AH batteries! I give 5 stare reviews to all of my numerous other Milwaukee tools and batteries! I have been a building and remodeling contractor for 53 years. Over the years I have had numerous tools and brands. Most of my tools these days are cordless, so I carry very few extension cords anymore. I have an awful lot of Milwaukee tools, cordless and otherwise, and for some years now I tell guys to go with Milwaukee, as I believe they have the best cordless platform in the industry. However, I like so many others here have found that the 12AH batteries are not measuring up. The first time I used them was when I bought the Milwaukee 16” cordless chainsaw a couple years ago in 2021. I routinely buy 2 batteries with every cordless tool, and that’s what I did when I got this saw. I have cut down and bucked up an awful lot of trees with that first saw, almost all hardwoods, up to some pretty big trees, including three 4’ diameter ash trees, and I’ve had guys see that and find it unbelievable what that saw can do, and they’ve gone out and bought the saw too. I wore out that first saw, and bought another. But one issue I found from the beginning was the 12AH batteries didn’t last. So I bought more batteries as backup, and I’ve used them in other tools as well. But what I’ve found is that after the first use, none of them will fully charge up. They all come up to 2 or 3 bars, and no farther, the chargers saw they’re fully charged, their lights turn green, but none of the batteries are getting fully charged. All of my chargers, both in shop and on jobsite, are Rapid Chargers or Super Chargers. That means that my 8AH & even my 6AH batteries are outperforming the 12AH batteries by a long shot. That is disappointing to put it mildly. I now have several 12AH batteries that I can’t depend on to perform, or even to charge. I love all of my Milwaukee tools, especially all my cordless ones. But I am at a point where I really cannot recommend the 12AH batteries to anyone. AGAIN, PLEASE NOTE: This one star review is only about the 12AH batteries! I give 5 stare reviews to all of my numerous other Milwaukee tools and batteries!

Just like all the other people my experience isn’t any different. I have 3 of the HD 12.0 batteries and as of now only one is fully functional the other 2 only charge to the 3 bars and then tells you they are fully charged. When you use them they die in no time at all or you get the error flashing lights and now the battery won’t work at all. The batteries are very expensive and purchased them in hopes to make time between charges longer but instead I’m left with very expensive paper weights taking up room. Unfortunately I had to give one star because they don’t even deserve that in my opinion when the price of them is factored in. I love Milwaukee so this is hard to say anything negative about a product that you offer.

This mower has plenty of power and cuts well. From the 2 times I was able to use it before it self destructed it seems like the battery is great. Its fatal flaw is that the housing for the electric motor is entirely made of cheap plastic. This means the second you even graze a small rock on your lawn the motor will separate from the mower. Thankfully I was on flat level ground when mine broke and it didn’t cut one of my legs off in the process. Definitely cannot recommend.

IM A HUGE MILWAUKEE FANATIC.... THIS allenwas great the first 1o times i charged it. Max Maybe used a total of 30 to 40 min each. now it wont even charge to a full 4 leds. my older 5.0 amp still charging full and i get a full use out of the battery each full charge... Cost was way to high and i cant even get a full charge out of it anymore...Warranty?

Love my Milwaukee tools, but not my 12.0 batteries. I have had 3 of these units now. What a waste of money as they just don't last. I find that the tabs on the battery burn out due to use. Funny thing is that I mainly use them in my Rocket Light for night work and sometimes in my weedeater or blower. So I am not always using in high energy situations. I find that the 6.0 HO and 8.0 HO seem to hold up better over time. So sad that they have not recalled these units...
