Inaccurate website information for sure. The picture and description are for the Milwaukee model 48-22-1910 (I think it's now discontinued?). The model 48-22-1510 actually being sold does not look like what's pictured. The picture and the description both show a wire stripper which does not even exist on the 1510 model being sold. The blade holding compartment is completely different and the black thumb grip in the website pictures isn't even there on the model being sold. I just had two delivered today and did some research to see why it wasn't the same as expected. Found the Milwaukee website showed both models so I could see what the problem is. The reviews on the model 1510 are terrible. Not worth my time to return but I hope Home Depot does the right thing and updates its' website.

very easy to use and good quality

I lost my previous utility knife and chose this one similar to my first knife. Nothing particular unique, but I mistakenly assumed it came with 5 additional blades which it did not. The description on the packaging seemed a bit deceiving, but I should have paid closer attention… Let the buyer beware!

Great handle. Fits hands wonderful. No slippage. Easy to open and close.

zero out of five. Cut myself bad trying to remove the blade. Pushed the removal button to no avail. Then I stuck the blade inside a vice and pushed the button while i was pulling. when it came undone my palm got the top of the blade. Totally my fault for getting cut but it shou7ld have released easily with the button. you should discontinue this item until you re-engineer it.

My box cutter of 20+ years finally broke so I bought this one. First let me say that I have Milwaukee garage because of their quality so I own a lot of their stuff, Milwaukee is my go to if I need anything. This box cutter is pure junk though, it managed to cut 6 pieces of drywall before it crapped out. I hope Milwaukee is not going the way of cheap junk from China as this is off to the garbage bin.

Works well. Good value at a good price

I currently have 4 of the older model Milwaukee utility around the house and needed another one and thought this was going to be similar to the one I have but it is totally different. The switch on the newer model is very difficult to switch down to different levels or to the close position. The older model was so much smoother and easier to open and close the blade. Also to remove the blade you have to press hard and inserting a new blade can be troublesome since there are extra open areas.

After using the knife a single time to just cut some cardboard, the slide is stuck, won't move back inside or budge at all

Works great. I like this knife better than the folding knives since I can operate it with one hand. Good quality and quite sturdy.

I was looking to purchase the best utility knife I've ever owned (a basic Husky no-frills model apparently no longer available). Fortunately, I still have a few on hand after several years This item (2 purchased) is a dismal failure. One suffered a blade slide permanent jam at first use, and the slide button on the other was so stiff and resistant to blade deployment that I gave up on it when my thumb got too sore to continue. Hard to believe that Milwaukee would put their name on this.

Hey Milwaukee whoever made the decision to produce this knife over producing more of the 1910 model should be terminated immediately. The body if this knife is terrible, the sliding mechanism feels so cheap and needs to be used for weeks before loosening up and changing the blade is like having to push a goat into a livestock trailer. This product is utter junk and you should bring back the 1910 model. I just lost my 1910 model after 3 years of ruthlessly beating it up and it worked like a champ. The 1510 should be purchased, opened and thrown off into the garbage.

Get yourself one. You won’t regret it

The sliding mechanism sticks right now, butmay loosen uo over time. As usual very pricey for a knife made in the same chinese factory as the fair priced knives. Millwauke needs to set a more realistic profit margin. Excellent toolsfor the most part at an very pricey cost but does the cost follow equal plane with quality?

Great tool, blade locks in place, to prevent miss haps and there is a on board storage under the black part of the handle for a few extra blades.

This has nothing on Stanley utility knives. Trigger mechanism isn’t smooth, and the blade removal hasn’t improved over all the other knives that tried this concept.

Need something that's cheap but will work? Then this is it. Worked to cut carpet out, drywall, undermount for flooring, etc.

This cutter is taking the place of the same model that I lost. I loved that cutter. This replacement may be defective, as it's very hard to retract the blade. I am however choosing not to return it.

I lost my old one and got this one hoping it would be like my old one which i loved. It's not. The old model 48-22-1910 was better in my opinion because the slide out/in action was faster and smoother. This one feels cheaper. I should have read the reviews. Going to return this and find somethibg else.

Impossible to change blades

Not what it used to be, unfortunately. Flimsy construction not nearly what the previous generation was, Dont know why as it was the best utility knife out there. Not smooth or solid

I have to use two thumbs to release it most of the time. Returning it.

In one of the photos the blade is being loaded up side down. Am I tripping or would that make the blade be on the wrong side up? So many questions, no answers. I'm still trying to replace one blade, def not gonna copycat the dude loading the extras upside down. HELP
