I HAVE 4 CHAIRS AND CUSHIONS THAT REALLY NEEDED CLEANING AND I FELT THAT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD CHALLENGE FOR THIS PRODUCT, GUESS WHAT- I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE RESULTS. THE FACT THAT THESE CHAIRS HAD MOLD AND DIRT AND THIS PRODUCT DID A GOOD JOB. I SPRAYED THE MOLDEX ON THE CHAIRS AND CUSHIONS AND LET IT SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN WITH A SCRUB BRUSH AND A LIGHT SPRAY FROM A WATER HOSE AND THE MOLD AND DIRT CAME OFF EASILY.

Yes, it is a mold killer. And for lighter, indoor projects, it works great as a cleaner. But it works best as a mold inhibitor. I tried it on various indoor surfaces and cleaning projects. It worked fine to clean up mild cases of mold and mildew around the house and it left a pleasant smell. There was no need to worry about chemicals such as bleach, causing problems. So then I tried it on a bigger, very dirty, outdoor project (see photos). It took quite a bit of product to thoroughly clean, disinfect and kill the mold, and it took multiple applications to get the area mostly clean. There was still a little bit of staining that only bleach would correct. Then I finished it off with a soaking with the mold killer as an inhibitor. I let it dry on. It seems to work well for keeping the mold away. The product is very versatile (killer, disinfectant, deodorizer, cleaner, etc.); the directions are complete. Be sure to follow the directions carefully. Each type of use has a slightly different application. Overall, if you have mild mold issues indoor, around the house, this product will work fine. But it is best used as a final treatment as a mold inhibitor (after thoroughly cleaning with another product). And if you are tackling a bigger mold issue, try the Moldex Concentrate Cleaner.

The gallon size of this Moldex product is direct use from the gallon container - no dilution. That makes it convenient. The first step is to clean first then spray/treat the surface with Moldex. I have a section of our home that doesn't get a lot of sun. It is prone to mold growing at the bottom of the fascia. I cleaned the area then sprayed Moldex. So far it has kept the mold growth from returning. I also sprayed our camping tents. The tents get aired out as much as we can but sometimes moisture from dew gets in the tent seams. I setup the tents and washed them then sprayed Moldex on the exterior tent fabric and wiped with a old cloth. The tents are now clean and small a lot better. The sanitizing/deodorizing aspect of Moldex is not overbearing. I can find plenty of uses around the house for the Moldex - especially since it is a germ killer and sanitizer as well.

I live on a tree covered property. Lots of sun and shade, mode grows on everything. For the patio I cleaned it Moldex and sealed it. For the deck , fencing and shed I cleaned with Moldex and then used a semi transparent sealer.

It did everything it said it would do.

This product worked great very easy to use , you just spray and wipe away, no strong smell or irritation like some products but anyway I recommend

Didn’t kill the mold

Use a Spray bottle to apply this to my shower wall -3 -5 times a week. It Works Great ! The Black Mold/ Mildew is Almost Gone after just a few weeks. I’m going to spray it on my fence & exterior bricks of my house too

Shame on RUSTOLEUM! Used this when it first hit the market, about 10 + yrs ago. A Massachusetts native invented it! Worked fabulous then! Nice clean smell, killed the mold within minutes of ONE application. Very disappointed in this watered down version. RUSTOLEUM changed the ingredients, and it does NOT work! Will be returning it for a refund!

The product did not diminish the mold or mold stains from the silicone caulk joing my bathtub to my ceramic tile walls.

This product is fabulous. Non petroleum based, pleasant smell and 100% effective on mold and mildew.

Does nothing for mold

It worked great at doing what it was meant to remove. The mold came off so well. Great product! Thank goodness it didn’t have the fumes or strong smell like bleach.
