It's a drain pipe fitting. Simple piece of molded PVC. Seems overpriced for what it is, but then I guess inflation is hitting everything these days ..

I used the 3 in. PVC drain hub coupling to...
I used the 3 in. PVC drain hub coupling to cap off at 2 foot perforated pipe followed by the coupling with the 3 in. grate cover on top. My 17 Eugenia trees were not getting water to the roots so I inserted pipe vertically into the ground and water through the grate. It allows roots to grow deeper.
