Excellent product, recommended

We LOVE our New England Arbors Regency Grand pergola! Its beautiful, everything fit together well, and we will definitely be recommending this to others!!

We purchased the pergola on line and it was delivered in 4 days. We mounted it on our raised deck. We have white vinyl railings so it matches the deck and looks like it's part of the original deck. It took a 2 man team a full day to install it. Probably the most important thing is to get the base brackets in the proper locations after that it was fairly straightforward. Glad we added the canvas weave cover option. It wasn't available on Home Depot's web site so we had to find it elsewhere .

Beautiful pergola. Fantastic customer service from New England Arbors. Only criticism is that additional material and possible options are not clearly spelled out in the product listing. Need to get the instructions and read carefully before beginning

This pergola is beautiful, we've gotten lots of compliments on it. It took about 10 hours in total for 4 adults to build it. I was aware from reading the reviews, to buy four 4x4's. So I did, however it wasn't until we were midway building it, we realized you also need eight 4x6x12's. So we had to run back to Home Depot and pick up those as well, which was an extra cost I wasn't expecting. The instructions also said buy some small pieces of wood to put between any cracks in the posts, but we didn't use those and it seems fine. We used brackets, to drill into our concrete patio. Did not realize those did not come with screws, for $75 just for brackets, you'd think they would. So we had to yet again go back and buy screws. Other than those blunders, it was pretty straight forward to put together, just time consuming. I also bought a sun shade to put on top, patio lights, and hanging flowers. Looks great!

Delivery was on time, five boxes that weighed between 60 and 80 pounds each. I ordered the brackets, as recommended. As well as the 4x4 treated posts. I hired 2 construction guys to do the assembly, which took 8 hours to complete. They said they wouldn’t tackle the job again, not overly complicated but too many small pieces. The assembly instructions are 32 pages. I’m really pleased with the look, many compliments from neighbors. The vinyl is delicate and light weight, which causes me concern about high winds. It was intended to be freestanding, however we attached it to the house with brackets to keep it from moving around.

Took awhile to get to Hawaii from Home Depot service In Kona Store. But item finally is up and its amazing! Love it. Going to order another for my other project. Highly recommended item. Purchased with two garden boxes. Looks outstanding!

This is a beautiful pergola! It added the definition my yard needed to create a cozy area to relax. I ordered the extra shade kit, and I'm glad I did! The yard has a southern exposure with only 1 tree to provide minimal shade. It took 2 handymen 3 days to install. A lot of measuring but the result is perfect!

I purchased this kit roughly 4 years ago. I needed a shady spot in the back yard to sit and protect me from the afternoon Georgia sun. I didn't want something temporary that would require me to take down in the event of a storm or take down every Winter. A pergola fit the bill. This kit arrived in seven different boxes with what appeared to be about 300 screws. Despite this somewhat daunting first impression, the kit went together quite easily and it was actually a fun project. I opted for the additional slat kit for the roof to provide additional shade and to provide additional soundness to the structure. I eventually planted two wisteria to cover over the top of the pergola for complete shade. The major crosspieces are steel reinforced which I thought was a real nice touch. There is nothing about this kit that I am disappointed with.

The quality of the product was as expected. The installation instruction were easy to follow. My son and myself installed the 12x12 pergola in 3 days. The first day was used to dig corner post and install in cement. The next day we work a fairly easy pace to install the framework and the 3rd day we installed the final framework. The majority of the time is taken up installing all the screws, which are need to ensure the pergola is secure. We have had quite parties under our new pergola and receive compliments all the time.

I had a handyman install the pergola in my backyard. Pavers were also laid on the ground. As mentioned in the instruction, the treated woods are essential for installation which you buy separately. The wood was laid on top of a cemented structure on the ground to add stability, instead of just burying the wood. You cannot do away with the brackets and should be part of the kit. The wood can only be extended only to the part where the posts meet the horizontal columns. So, there will be a slight shakiness on the top columns. I am not sure if this will hold with a heavy windstorm. Overall, it looked pretty.

I love the looks and style. The basic pergola was well worth the price, The additional add-ons like the arch and privacy fence are a little overpriced. Not as much shade as I hoped for.

The project turned out great. I am pleased with the quality, appearance and cost. Customer service from Vita in Canada was great!

Light weight and the middle sages and had to had weight and lumber to straighten it out. Feels like cheap plastic. The end caps just slide no screws or glue i feel the wind will blow them off.

this is not a project for a first timer. PT wood is not included. i spent an additional $400 for lumber and auger rental. It has come out beautifully and i think it was well worth the efforts. i had an experienced helper set the posts and measure and level with me. i ran out of some glue and screws and contacted the manufacturer directly who sent out product right away no charge. i go the additional shade fabric and either i didnt put in on right or it is designed for another model. i had to run the fabric in alternating way and attach it with the velcro which wasnt a problem. it has been finished for about 2 weeks now and every body enjoyed it for a party we had recently with nice weather. very please with both home depot and the mfg.

this is not a stand alone unit ready to go out of the box. you basically have to provide equiv wooden parts and slide wood into all plastic peices. this is point less....you can just make this out of wood and paint it for 1/3 the price. the plastic parts are fragile and break easy. the brackets for the top cross beams are made of plastic and break easy. there is a screw system that is flawed in that the plastic the screws go thru are about 1/8 of an inch and strip easy. wife wanted so I had to make it work. 400 bucks in metal colum inserts, 100 bucks in new replacement brackets for the cheap plastic ones, 500 bucks in wood that slides into the plastic , 100 bucks in anchor bolts. this is a night mare to install and falls apart as you build it. I had to re-enforce the 1/8 vynl in the screw hole area by cutting out 4"X4" X 1/2" PVC from a PVC panel...glue to the screw hole area....that gave me 1" 1/4" of thread grabbing area vs the 1/8+1/8 that was stock. If it were up to me..this would have been returned...but the wife wanted it..so it became a money pit.

All the parts were there. Recommends two people to build but can be done with one!

Excellent pergola... changes the whole look of our back yard..gives it a clean look..We hired a contractor recommended by a local lumber company to put together. It took him a day and a half.to complete. Even so, the cost was reasonable considering how nice it looks.

Good Reasonable Pergola

Quality very good. All the parts there. My son did say the screws were difficult to work with. Looks fantastic, but a bit of a project!

The arbor is beautiful BUT the upper slats did not have the joiners and end caps to finish it. I am waiting for those missing parts to complete the installation.

It was just installed, so for the present time I love it.

I love my Pergola, it is beautiful and everything went well during the assembly. The only criticism is that when mounted on a concrete slab, the brackets are not adequate to support the overhead weight without it swaying. I am going to attach brackets on the outside and set it in contrete.

Product is great - Home Depot customer service and delivery company leave a lot to be desired. Waiting 1.5 hours to talk to someone is ridiculous

The pergola has gotten high praise from neighbors as they've seen it. Quality, solid materials make the structure very sturdy. Took most of a day to put the kit together solo. I'd recommend having a helper for installing the rafters and support beams. They're quite heavy to lift and put in place with the recommended 2x6 inserts.
