I received my order of cement color today and was disappointed to see that it arrived as just a pouch of powder instead of arriving in the shown, small plastic jug. As someone who will be using this product in small batches, the plastic jug with lid was desired. It will take extra caution and the purchase of an additional container to avoid the likelyhood that the powder gets spilled all over the ground once opened.

I love using this product in my mixed-media mosaic projects to color the super-stickey super-white Glass Tile thin-set mortar also obtained at Home Depot. It's an intense color powder that mixes easily with the dry mortar. Just a level teaspoon shaken up in with a pound of Glass Tile in a plastic container gives me perfect color and adhesion as a background for my artwork without the drippey mess of liquid color I've used previously. (Grout colorant doesn't work with thin-set mortar.)

Used this on a concrete vanity top in our bathroom. Color was great. Easy to mix together.

pro: This "Newlook Cement Color -- Charcoal" is free-flowing and not caked con: but it comes in a sealed plastic bag, not in a reclosable jar. pro: The color is a rich reddish-brown con: but it's not charcoal-black like my other cement color.

The advertised picture of the product looks nothing like the sad, crumpled little bag of dust you will actually receive.

Directions were clear and performed exactly how I wanted. 1 container per 80lb sack worked great.

You do need a lot of this pigment to change the grout color to black. If you have a large area to do, you're going to need more than this jar.

I used half of the suggested ratio and the color came out great. Have more to make and will use it again.

The charcoal color has a major blue component

Densely colored pigment. It takes only a small amount to color the cement.

Easy to incorporate...Charcoal black color did not fade upon curing. Could be expensive for larger jobs

Applied it only a week back. The charcoal color is good now but have to wait for at least an year to see if it fades or not. Mixed 1 Lb of NewLook with 66 Lbs bag of concrete in dry powder before adding water. It was very easy to mix and easy to work with.

Good coloring, and holds true over time, compared to all of the other brands I’ve tried.

The powder mixes well with the concrete. You'll want to run a small test batch for your color and ratio (especially the ratio should you need to mix multiple batches for the same project application).

It is really inconvenient to get to areas with Home Depot stores from where we live. The ordering over the computer was a cinch. The product arrived within just a few days. It is very easy to use to color mortar and cleans up with no problem at all.
