Nexgrill Evolutiom 5 Burner Gas Grill
I bought this grill June 2019. It is kept on a second floor fully covered deck. It has never been directly in the elements. Within the first two years the burners rusted & stopped functioning. I can get two burners to work. This year I had to throw out the racks because of corrosion of rust & exposed underlining metals. This grill interior looks like it was kept out in the rain & that is not the case! I would not recommend this grill it barely lasted two years.

    Doors do not line up
    Doors do not line up. Called Nexgrill and they want me to unassemble or return to Home Depot!

    It's OK.
    Had this grill for about 6 months now. Kept under cover and cleaned occasionally. It's functions well but is starting to show surface rust for no apparent reason. The stainless isn't great and it wasn't particularly well assembled by Home Depot. Price point seems steep for a mediocre grill.

        DO NOT waste your money
        Purchased 2 years ago. It looked shiny & fancy. It sits on our covered lanai & within 2 months there were rust spots on the doors. We never go without cleaning between grilling. The flare ups have been out of control and we cannot keep this grill regulated. The last flare up caught the whole grill on fire and we had to extinguish. We were not cooking fatty foods. Just steaks and veggies. Ruined the meat, ruined the game that was on. Grill is on its way to the dump as I type this.

          Rust within a month outside
          We purchased this grill exactly 3 months ago today @ the Van Nuys Home Depot. Got a quality cover w/ air vents before putting unit outside and NEVER cover grill when wet. It began rusting after one month outside. Waiting to hear back from Nexgrill.

            Not real stainless steel

              Not so great
              I ordered the grill and had free home delivery. The package was delivered to another street. when I received notification the package was delivered, but had not received the grill, I was told by Home Depot the Manager said call back if I hadn’t received the delivery by noon. It was 11:56am at that time. The neighbor called and I went and picked it up. We had to take apart the shipment to get it in the car. The sharp edges ended up damaging the cars interior during the drive. The neighbor not being happy that this delayed his leaving for an appointment. When I opened the individual packages, I found rust and corrosion on the stainless steel. Rust on one of the grates. The actual design of the grates is not good either. The support under each will collect grease snd food drippings and you would not be able to clean it out. I’m returning it today. Very unhappy with the service and the shape the grill was in. I hope I don’t receive and issues while returning the grill.

                Huge fan.
                Huge fan. It cook well. I hooked it up to natural gas and it works great. It's helping me to not heat up the house when I want to cook something nice. I've used it about 5 time so far and I'm really impressed.

                  suggestion concerning the tape
                  I just purchased the NexGrill 5, I am satisfied with the Grill with the exception of the way it came with tape or adhesive around it. Now that I have removed the adhesive shield It has left a residue and stain, I am having a problem removing it. In the future omit the cellophane adhesive.

                    Finest grill I've ever had and everyone in Rio is jealous
                    My husband wanted an American BBQ gril and since my job had me flying from Brasil to LA regularly I checked with the airline to see what I could bring. My purchase of this grill was based entirely on the size of the box- any larger and I'd have to send it as cargo, not an oversize suitase. Imagine my delight when I got it home, put it together and fired it up. This thing rocks! I've gone through three covers so far yet the outside and inside of the grill itself work as well as they did when I first bought it four years ago. We use it about once a week and here in the land of barbeque have carved out quite a name for ourselves with this beast. Strongly reccomend this. The temperature control is specific enough . Get a universal rotisserie attachment , piece of cake to install.

                      Home Depot has been non responsive and the grille quality is poor
                      I bought this grille last year at the very beginning of the pandemic. The day I brought it home, and before I even was able to use it, a burner know fell off. I contacted both Nexgrill and Home Depot by email on their websites but did not receive a reply. We had no choice but to use it with one less burner. I found that the grill uses a lot of propane and does not get near as hot as other similar grills i have owned and used. The side burner is nearly useless for cooking because the heat it produced was so low. Two days ago, we were using the grille and the hose caught fire between the regulator and the propane tank. My son burned his hand trying to get the fire out. I would rate the company response as low as the product at this point.

                        Dual fuel = lie
                        this grill says it is dual fuel, but it really isn't. 1st, you will HAVE TO buy a $90 "conversion" kit of you want to hook to natural gas... oh and then you will have to disassemble in order to change the orifices on ALL burners. So this $499 grill turns into a $589 grill, plus a bunch of wasted time using terrible directions to disassemble and reassemble.... it didn't help either that when home depot assembled, they put the grease catch mountsnon backwards so I was already fixing it in the 1st 5min.

                          Looks can be decieving
                          -------------Construction--------------- Grates, deflectors, infrared grates, igniter, fuel rails, knobs, wheels are all cheap. Both types of grates are warped, the infrared grates moreso, will not lay flat. (pictured) The ignition system is finicky and often doesn't want to ignite. Or if you do get the fuel rails ignited not all will turn on so I have to turn some on then turn on others to try and get them all on. Oh, and if the propane tank is open too much it won't ignite at all. Once you FINALLY get all fuel rails lit sometimes the flame will be small. Yeah its hard to explain but the flame will be miniscule. You have to turn off the propane tank and try again. Tons of rust on the stainless steel pieces. (pictured) The wheel decided to crack in half and wheel mount screws tore in half one day when wheeling it out of the garage. I had to chuck the mount and zip tie the wheel back on as there is no easy way to replace their bracket system. (pictured) The etching they use comes off way to easily, mine is mostly rubbed off. (pictured) Actual infrared system is garage, the holes fill up after a single use and require a thorough clean of the top and bottom which is difficult due to their being so many holes. (pictured) I honestly can't believe all of the positive reviews. This grill has been garaged kept and is only 3 years old and it looks destroyed where it matters. -------------Cooking--------------- Flare ups are easy if you not careful. The grease/fat will drip onto the heat deflectors and cause mini fires I couldn't never recommend this grill to a friend. Curious to hear Nexgrill supports reply to all of these issues.

                            Rust
                            We purchased this Nexgrill 6 burner DeLuxe with ceramic searing side zone in March, 2017. Big mistake. The cooking cast iron grates are gross and we use a separate grilling pan to cook our food as we will NOT put food on this hot rusty mess. The drip pan under the burners completely rusted out and not just little holes but the majority of the pan has bigger holes than Swiss cheese. Apparently this grill seems to be a “use one season” and replace. The grill is not exposed to elements. We had a Napoleon grill for 12 years with cast iron cooking grates with no problems and it survived all seasons.

                              DO NOT BUY THIS GRILL!!!!!!!!!!!!
                              I bought this grill 4 years ago and it was my fist gas grill and now its junk. First they talk about even heating and cooking well that's a lie. The right side would cook nice while the left side was barley cooking. My stainless steel burners and covers are rusting out and getting clogged with rust. i have worked 35 years in the steel mill and never seen stainless rust. The temp gauge stopped working two years ago. What a waste of $500

                                Avoid at all costs
                                I am a former Weber user in 28 years I had 2 Weber grills that were awesome. This time I let my budget make the decision, and it was the wrong one. I am Extremely disappointed! First of all the grill is very flimsy. The construction is very poor. The grill does not heat up past 525 degrees. Two of the control knobs do not work properly. The one on the side burner does not fit correctly. The grill is not supposed flare up, and sure enough it flares up. The lock on the caster does not work. The image show a small flare up.

                                  Junk beware
                                  Not even a month and 2 of the burners will not light. the electronic ignition gets held to the body with a screw on plastic cap that barely screws in to hold and guess what the ignition button will not work when it's screwed in. When you go to push the button it will just fall out. Also the flames are not consistent even on high sometimes it's like your cooking with sunlight when it should be sizzling hot. Overall it's junk wasting time fiddling with it taking an hour to cook a chicken drumstick.

                                  • Turn all the knobs and tank to the off position.
                                  • Disconnect the regulator from the Propane tank.
                                  • Open Main Lid
                                  • Turn on all main burners to high position
                                  • Let this sit from 10 – 15 minutes untouched.
                                  • Once allotted time has elapsed, make sure all knobs are turned to the off position.
                                  • Reconnect your propane regulator gas hose to the propane tank.
                                  • Slowly open the tank, every 10 seconds turn slowly until tank is opened all the way.

                                    nexgrill failure do not purchse this item stay away
                                    There is normal wear but the cooking surface of this grill will peel , the stainless steel coating chips off . I tried customer service and they wanted me to buy new grills of the same product and charge me shipping etc after months of waiting for email reply . im throwing it away even though its less them a year old . My concern is i didnt notice the cooking surface peeling and hope my guest or myself didnt eat metal. Stay away from this profuct hopefully evryone sees this

                                      What a waste of money.
                                      Do NOT spend your money on this grill. It’s an expensive and fancy looking piece of junk. I had my last Char Broil grill for nearly 20 years and lived it. Even going so far as spending more than $100 once to replace components to give it a longer life. I’ve had this Nexgrill for two seasons now and I absolutely hate it. I wouldn’t spend another nickel on this thing. Where do I start? The uneven cooking across the grill. See the uneven flame in my picture? The flare ups? The far right burner that will only light if every other burner has not been turned on yet? The need to frequently reset the regulator? I keep this grill completely out of the weather by pulling it in and out of my garage each time I grill. For $500, I expected a little better.

                                        Flare ups
                                        Cut back in flare ups?!?!?!? This is at medium heat and walked away for 4 min not happy should have bought a new charbroil commercial infrared again it never ever did this!!! Glad my bbq was ruined i WILL GET MY MONEY BACK

                                          Nexgrill is JUNK!!! Buyer Beware!
                                          In the last 15 years, I’ve owned 2 Weber grills. They were absolutely bulletproof. Sure I replaced my fair share of wear and tear items, but they always worked well. The only reason I ever replaced the grills was because, after time, the paint would peel off, fade, or just look bad. However they always worked each and every time. For my most recent purchase of the Nexgrill, I became intrigued by the infrared technology. I was looking for more even cooking due to the indirect flame. So, I Opted out of another Weber (against my better judgement) and paid $500 for an overpriced pile of tin. I have now owned this thing (nexgrill evolution) for 1 year and cuss it every time I use it. The list of problems are 1.uneven heating across the infrared plates 2.flare ups 3.difficulty cleaning the grates 4.infrared plates turn to rust in weeks (low grade stainless steel) 5.the holes in the infrared plates rust themselves shut in weeks 6.difficultly in cleaning the infrared plates 7.cheap, poor construction of entire grill. Long story short, if you’re going to spend $500 on a grill, do yourself a favor and buy a Weber. I wish I had... Now I’m stuck with this junk until it finally dies.

                                            I am extremely disappointed with this grill. The so-called infrared plates that are supposed to sear steaks do not work. I cannot get a steak to sear. I also cooked one hotdog on one grill and it took almost 20 minutes to cook it. I feel the burners are too far from the grates. If anyone can give me any directions, I am more than happy to listen and learn.

                                              Worst grill I I have ever owned.
                                              to start, the "stainless" somehow rubbed off from the strap I used to bring it home... Out of all the cheap grills I have purchased, and I have purchased many, this grill has to have the lowest BTUs I have ever cooked with. absolutely not even close to enough heat to give anything a good sear. I told my wife before I bought it, I told her when I bought it, and I'm reminding her again right now as I sit here cooking burgers on a 2 month old rusted heep, I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A WEBER!

Our grills have a guaranteed warranty and we also offer troubleshooting and replacement parts. You may be experiencing pressure issues and your regulator may need to be reset.
                                              Reset Regulator Instructions
                                              1. Turn all the knobs and tank to the off position
                                              2. Disconnect the regulator from the tank
                                              3. Turn on all main burners, just as if lighting the grill normally and set to high
                                              4. Let this sit from 10-15 minutes untouched
                                              5. Once allotted time has elapsed, make sure all knobs are turned to the off position
                                              6. Reconnect your propane regulator gas hose to the propane tank

                                                Handsome with great features…………………………………………………………………………………….. I didn’t like the way it was boxed because I could not pull things from the box little by little as I assembled in sequence. One of the parts that is required early in the process was at the very bottom, so that entire huge box had to be emptied out early on. It’s a lot of stuff to lay out! Mine was missing a burner connection part, so I called customer service and they quickly sent me the missing part. Assembly was easy. There was just one area where I felt the connecting pieces didn’t have a nice or intuitive fit (see photo). It’s an extremely handsome grill with brushed stainless everywhere but the base. I’ve had mine outside full time for 2 years now, just under a grill cover. The outside sheeting gets small surface spots of rust here and there over the winter that I can gently scrub out with a green scrubby and soft scrub. It’s important to clean the inside cooking parts completely for winter non-use, or if use year-round, then at least 1x year. Yes, stainless does rust. It is still steel afterall and requires maintenance for longevity. It’s a large grill, so does take a while to heat up, and loses temp fast when opened, but I’ve found that to be common on larger grills. Its features are pretty fancy. I’m a simple griller, but I enjoy that I can now easily grill delicate fish and veggies on the metal trays/inserts and control cooking zone temps better than ever.

We highly recommend to keep unit covered when it is not in use and to season the cooking grids by using any type of oil before using the grill. And you can Zep cleaner available in home depot to remove rust spots. if you are experience any issues with temperature, please make sure you are using 20 LP .You may be experiencing pressure issues and your regulator may need to be reset.

                                                1. Turn all the knobs and tank to the off position
                                                2. Disconnect the regulator from the tank
                                                3. Turn on all main burners, just as if lighting the grill normally and set to high
                                                4. Let this sit from 10-15 minutes untouched
                                                5. Once allotted time has elapsed, make sure all knobs are turned to the off position
                                                6. Reconnect your propane regulator gas hose to the propane tank
                                                7. Slowly open the tank all the way (30 Seconds).

                                                AVOID THIS COMPANY.... Well, I bought the grill and took it home and built it. The last page has you assemble the electric start and it would not work. I called the product support and was given the automated calling system run around. When I finally got a representative he apologized, but then told me the part was back ordered and it might be MONTHS before I could get a replacement. And then when I get it, I would have to install it myself. Said that I could use the grill in the mean time just by lighting it like normal. I asked if using the grill was going to make it difficult to take apart to install the igniters. He said, most likely. So I now have a grill that is broken and I have the choice to use it, but using it might make installing the part when I do get it in a FEW MONTHS more difficult. When I asked for a supervisor, I was hung up on. I had to call back to request they ship the broken part when they get around to it and can find one. Looking at the rest of the grill... It has a lot of other little defects, like the graphics for the burners are not all there. Long story short, AVOID this brand at all costs. Terrible quality and worse TERRIBLE SERVICE when you do have a problem.
