Ever need to tie down a tarp but can't keep it tight? Or want an adjustable length cord to easily open or close a loop? Then get yourself some of these NITE IZE CAMJAM CORD TIGHTENER IN BLACK. They are designed to work with cord sizes from 1/16" to 3/16". Simply fish the cord thru the hole next to the clamp, tie a small knot in the end and you're ready to go. Now either tie the other end of the cord to your object and clip the camjam to a hook. Or with the other end of the cord, make a loop knot in the end and hook it back to the camjam. Now you've got a draw string! So versatile and easy to use. Great for strapping down a tarp or making a tie down for your holiday decorations. Definitely nice to have on hand in the tool box and in the truck.

The Nite Ize CamJams are the perfect universal tie down for securing tarps on your next dump run or in your side yard to create a covered area (or anything else you can think of). My wife was looking for a way to secure their helium bottle in the back room at work. I gave her the 4-pack of CamJams and some of my parachute rope and it worked perfectly for securing the helium bottle. Using the CamJams made it to where they can remove them when they need to replace the helium bottle without having to cut the rope or try and untie a knot each time. Plus you can set the tension of how tight you want it to be using the CamJams. Having CamJams is kind of like having a bungie cord that you can cut to any length as long as you have the proper rope or parachute cord on hand to make them work. If you are someone that is always using rope at work or at home for different odd jobs the CamJams make things a lot easier. All you need is some 1/16" (2mm) or 3/16" (5mm) cord to make them work. Buy a 4-pack and give them a try. You will be glad you did.

Got these cord tighteners for various items I carry in my truck, side by side and camper. I used them to stretch over a tarp while hauling sacks of feed. They are also handy to carry camping for making a clothesline and stretching tarps to cover an area. The mechanism works fine to tighten, but it is much harder to get the tightening piece back to release the cord/rope. The lip needs to be a bit larger to make it easier to pull back and release. The carabiner clip works well. They are plastic so not sure how much stress/pressure they can take

Nite Ize has been very innovative with their products and the CamJam cord tighteners are no exception. The cord tightener works with rope or paracord ranging from 2-5mm (1/16-3/16 inch). in my case I used 4mm paracord to secure the tarp over my fishing boat. The spring-loaded clasp closes on the hook to offers a secure mount, while the locking cam offers a positive grip. This creates a simple and quick way to tighten your rope. I like tying a figure-8 knot on the tag end so when loosening the rope doesn't come completely out of the cord tightener. I could see using these in many ways, just use your creativity, but these are not to be used for climbing.

I just love these CamJam Cord Tightener in Black (4-Pack). This is the second pack I got because they’re so handy, I use them all the time, mostly for hauling stuff on my motorcycle’s luggage rack, but also for securing loads in the back of my SUV. They are so easy to use, and because of their design, can be used in different configurations. Because of their small size. They can be stored almost anywhere, but really come in handy when you need them! I highly recommend these cord tighteners for everyone!

I'm always looking for a better way to secure stuff in the back of the truck and it seems like I never have the right length bungie cord. All you need is a piece of rope and one or more of these cams and you can easily secure just about anything. The cams can be used in a variety of ways but I typically use two of them similar to a bungie cord that you can vary the length. This particular cam can use rope/cord from 1/16" to 3/16" in diameter. Keep in mind the size of the load you can secure will depend upon maximum strength of the rope.

Handy little cord tensioner. I keep a toolbox in the back of my pickup with all sorts of ratchet straps, bungees, and these tensioners. They are plastic so i would not go securing a heavy load with them, but if you want to keep something light from moving these are the ticket. I wish they'd give a weight limit on the packaging, that's important to know on something like this, so you'll have to use common sense. Cord slides through quickly and easily, and disengages just as easy. There's tons of uses for these, just be creative.

This is an interesting device. It’s very easy to tighten your strap. The picture on the display card shows it for tightening ropes on a tent. My main usage it tying down articles in the back of my pickup. The information on the card has no suggestion of the strength of these plastic hooks. The cord size is limited to 3/16” diameter, and I normally use ¼” rope. These hooks feel robust, but I’m not sure. I see Home Depot also sells units of the same design that are made of aluminum. If you are normally holding heavy loads, I’d recommend that.

With the camping and hiking season coming up, we needed something to easily pack our gear up with, maximize what we could carry and be versatile. These camjams work great with multipurpose Paracord and do not add any noticable additional weight to the packs. They're easy to adjust when needed and add multiple tie off points. We have used them to hold down tarps over our gear, tie down gear to our bags, and store gear up in trees while sleeping. The clips have a great opening space to lock onto almost anything. There is no weight capacity but they are clearly marked as not for climbing. They are made of mostly plastic ensuring rust will not set in except at the metal locking pin for the clamp end.

Handy little 4-pack of cord tighteners. These are a nice compact size for lighter duty jobs. My husband's job uses a lot of cords and keeping them organized, lined up and nice and snug is very important to him. He was skeptical when I got these for him, but now he's sold. They are easy to use and do the job well. I have no doubt we'll be ordering more of these for him! ;)

I bought this product with the hopes that I would be able to secure items in the trunk area of my car. I cannot. Both of the cams, I bought a two pack, completely fail to grip at all. It is a useless product. And before you read the part about imposter sellers the company posted under the other 1 star review, the return address is for nite ize, the name is on the product it self and I bought the rope from the company. I might as well have burned my money instead.

Works great for securing my car cover. I need some more cord?

I've had a pair of XTs I use for a patio shade, i.e. a sail. I've used them with everything from paracord to 1/4" nylon braided rope and they've never slipped, not even in storm weather. I don't even back-tie the rope after the cam. The harder the wind blows, the tighter the cam gets, but still easily releases. I need more.

Purchased a pack of CamJams to supplement the straps on my car cover. They work great! Easy on, easy off.

As long as you can follow basic instruction you can figure out how to use this product. I use it on a heavy wrecker to tie down and hang everything from cable to chains to tools and anything else that I keep on my truck they also work really good for holding up. Driveshaft. I honestly can’t remember what I did without them.

Bought this last summer and the plastic clips don’t hold well under weight/pressure. Wish they had something stronger, scared to use these for my hammock. Would recommend but wish the packaging was clear on weight limits. Kinda wasted my money. Cool idea though

Simply and effective. Get the right size and maybe get the bundle from Nite that includes rope that fits.

I truly like these CamJam Cord Tightener's. Something so simple and functional should have been developed YEARS ago! I can replace all my "Bunjee Cords" with these.

I returned the product because the rope kept slipping through the tightener. It just wouldn't hold for me.

I have used these in the bed of my truck, to hold in my 5 gallon gas and diesel containers. I use the clip end to hook to my bed ring. Run the rope thru handles, and Niteize has a new S-Biner slidelock in Large that is perfect for other bed ring, then connect other end of CamJam to it. Secure connections that want go move. Works great for coolers thru handles, cases of water, run it thru folding chairs tighten down. Haven't found nothing you can't use it for bed of truck if probably done!!

does not work well at all. Awkward and the rope slips out.

I've tested it now with 4 different types of paracord and none is holding passed 2-300 grams! The cam teeth is slipping and nothing prevents the rope from popping out sideways from the cam lock.

Price was right, worked as expected
