Weak magnet & screws, inferior to Everbilt version
I have 2 of the Everbilt version (Model #16094) in my house already, but it was out of stock, so I was forced to buy this Onward version for a 3rd door. The Everbilts are not great but work. This product is inferior - the magnet is very weak and the door bounces off unless gently held in place. There is not adjustment nut on the threaded post making it hard to position the magnet horizontally. The screw heads break off if driving into hardwood baseboards. Brass finish is flawed as well.

Good magnetic door stop
I’m not very handy so I looked on line for directions vs the awful directions on the back that doesn’t tell you the flat round price has to be screwed off counter clockwise so you can screw it to the wall…it holds my door well and with the right directions I had no problem installing. Need a pencil to mark screw holes and make sure they match up from door to wall is easy enough. The magnet seemed stronger in my hand vs after installing it with weight of the door but it does hold well.

There are two issues with the door leading from home's 36" hallway entry to 1 of the garages:
1. The highes are spring loaded, which we love most of the time for HVAC reasons
2. Need the door held open while unloading groceries or wife's other shopping.
3. The door has about 1" bottom clearance at the floor, which is too much for other floor mount products.
Surprisingly well made & sturdy, with cabinet quality finish, especially for $7. Easy mount on baseboard in a position slightly higher than standard rubber cup covered spring. 3 screws hold the fastening plate securely. Do dry fitting of the cup component to the door. Using double sided tape and lightly tracing around the fixture for placement will serve you well.
If your door hinge is not spring loaded, you are done. If it is spring loaded, you may still need to reduce the spring tension. Be aware that you may have to open the door to the stem mounted magnetic disc with a gentle touch. The magnets are not strong enough to compensate for the torque generated by the bounce-back at the top of the door.
We are delighted with the product, and at less than $7, it is a steal.

A+++ Highly recommend!! Reviews are mixed, but overall are great! And some of the questions on here are just plain silly!! :)
First, this does exactly what it's intended/engineered to do, and/or what copy states it'll do.
No, it's not going to hold your dang GARAGE door open (why would you even ask?), or your outside steel farm door open!!!..The magnet is too weak? What do you want for $7?!?! Also, do you want to have to muscle it off the magnet, just to close a (prob hollow-ish) interior door, otherwise? NO you don't! lol
If you need a HEAVY door stop, this isn't for you. That's what door wedges are for, or buy a $50 magnet, your choice! Magnets are expensive, btw! $7 for brushed nickel and this build quality is a good deal! They should carry this one in stores!
Install is easy. If you can't install this w/in 10 mins, you have no business using a simple screw driver or small drill!
Cons: the nub portion was hard to figure out. Push it in, as you rotate it, and you're good. :)
Here's my first one, done on a very flimsy/cheap interior door, and mounted just fine. I recommend installing near the edge for the best tensile strength. And, install at the top of the door. Helps for cleaning the floor, and you don't notice it, as much as the floor, where most mount this. But, you can mount at any height, of course.

These doorstops are great for those doors that just won't stay in place. These stops are no longer than a regular doorstop so not in the way.

Easy to install however the magnet is quite weak, I just hope when it warms up and we start leaving the windows open that it is strong enough to keep inside doors from slamming shut by the wind.

Doesn’t quite hold the weight of our front door. Standard door, standard condo building. Have to touch it just so, so that it holds. Kinda a bummer.

Effective Solution for Doors that Like to Close!
Good product. Easy to install, provided you don't need detailed instructions. Functions simply and effectively. Alleviated a long-standing annoyance from a door that hated to stay open.

Junk, the magnet is too weak
That's as others have said in their reviews, the magnet is too weak and it doesn't hold the door to the wall. Even an extremely light hollow core door falls away very easily. National Hardware make a similar product with a notably stronger magnet of which I purchased several after this failed me.

The product comes assembled, and there are no directions on how to take it apart to make the installation easy. I never did get the smaller piece apart, and had to mount it by pushing the button to the side and trying to screw it to the door with it in the way. It works fine, but it was more hassle than it needed to be.

The magnet isn’t as strong as I expected. It barely holds the door open. I have to carefully place the door against the magnet. Even the wind from walking by the door will cause it to release and the door closes.

Looked OK visually, or as expected.
Finish and hardware seemed fine.
However magnets were weak and barely held door open, unlike Defiant store brand I had used before - so returned these Onward stops.
