I've had a hard time finding a quality replacement chain for my Craftsman 172.34120, but finally found this Oregon chain here at Home Depot. I'd looked a few years back and even Craftsman wasn't offering a replacement chain so I figured I'd have to buy a whole new saw. Thank you Oregon for offering this chain and thank you for making these chains in the USA! Swapping the chain out is pretty straight forward and as any experienced cutter knows, keep the chain well oiled and tensioned properly. Both of these 2 tasks will greatly extend the life of your new Oregon chain. What an improvement this chain is over the one I've been limping along with for years. Hopefully, Home Depot will continue to offer this great quality chain.

These Oregon chains cut like a knife through butter

This was an exact fit for my Worx’s chainsaw. It was super easy to install

Impression from 1st tryout was very good-- very sharp. Longevity / reliability is unknown.

Excellent but wears out fairly quickly. A big job and you'll be ready for a new chain. Able to cut up to 10, 12" oak branch with my Worx, then wouldn't cut butter.

If you have an 18" [Electric (Sears)] Craftsman Chain-Saw and need a replacement chain and its model number is 172.34120 this S63 Chain will fit it very nicely. Oregon is the only place you will be able to purchase a Chain for model # 172.34120 and The Home Depot will order it for you.
