This red rug is manufactured to high quality standards. The rubber backing is great for indoor or outdoor use. The backing also does an excellent job holding the rug in place and prevents slipping or sliding. The red material is durable and does a great job cleaning off the bottom of shoes. It is easy to wash with a hose and dries quickly when hung in the sun.

We originally purchased this 2‘ x 5‘ floor mat to use as a runner on our pool deck. In the meantime I put it in the garage to evaluate it. It does a really good job of taking dust and light dirt off of our shoes. This rug has a nice rubber backing to keep it from moving around. It is a little bit on the light weight side so I’m not sure it will stay in place when the wind blows. It is a good color and fairly attractive although I would be more likely to use it on a porch or deck or laundry room.

The Ottomanson utility door mat / short runner is perfect for my back door! I used to have a small 2 x 3 ft rug that was way too short for the job. This one being five feet long allows us to still be on the rug as the door swings shut allowing for a more thorough removal of dirt and water from our shoes. It has a waterproof backing that is thin, but gets the job done. It will not slide when stepped on and the commercial like ribs helps remove tough dirt.

Our home has a lot of hardwood floors so it is nice to have rugs placed in various locations around the house. We had an area that needed a small runner and we saw this Ottomanson Utility Rubberback Black 2 ft. x 5 ft. Area Rug and it seemed like it would work for us. When we received the rug, we were not very happy with the quality of the rug. It seemed very lightweight and flimsy. It was difficult to get the rug to lay flat and I’m not sure if it ever will. The name of the rug has “rubberback” and that is true but that rubber does not provide much hold on the floor. The rug slides around much too easily. Overall, I don’t think this is a quality rug and I’m fairly certain it will not hold up well over time.

Easy to clean even with a broom. You can also hose it down. It sits flat in a few days faster if you live in a warm place like Florida. Perfect for indoor use or covered walkway. Well with strong colors that will not fade out of direct sunlight.

This review is for Ottomanson Utility Rubberback Red 2 ft. x 5 ft. Area Rug. This rug is to replace my old rug in the kitchen. It's bit thinner than I would prefer but I like the color. It goes well with my cherry wood cabinet and should do well with spills and stains. I really like the rubber backing on the rug. With that I don't have to worry about slippery rug under my feet.

Most of the family enters and exits through our back door and with kids and dogs that is a large number of feet tracking debris in to my house so I am always on the hunt for something to catch as much as possible. This mat feels good under foot and has done a good job of catching sand, grit and debris from the many feet passing in and out of the house daily. There were a few wrinkles on the rubber edge of the mat when I put it down but they were all gone within a day and I have had no issues with tripping on the edge of the mat like I did with my last one. So far I am very happy.

This rug offers a versatile and simple solid color and striped design. It’s almost 5 feet in length and is just the right size for our entry way area that we put it in. It’s a thin, low pile carpet offering good grip with non-slip coating underneath. The ribbed texture is sure to grab all the sand and debris from our shoes as we step inside onto this mat.

The Ottomanson runner is a very well-made rug. It is made of 100% Polypropylene with 100% rubber backing for a non-slip runner. You can use inside the back door or maybe in the garage to eliminate the dirt before it gets inside the house. Great rug for this purpose. The rug measures 2 ft by 5 ft. so it covers enough area to make it very useful. Easy to clean when dirty also just brush or hose off or vacuum. Good buy.

This matt is well made and unrolls flat right out of the box, it medium weight and has a nice pile as well as semi sticky backing that helps it stay in place. It’s a good size and works well for a runner or a wide door entry matt. I’m currently using it as a runner in front of a dartboard in the basement to help stop the darts from stabbing the vinyl floor.

I was looking for something simple to protect the carpeting inside our patio entry. I wanted something easy to clean and of course waterproof. The Ottomanson Utility Door Mat is perfect. It covers enough of the floor that we can step in with dirty shoes and have enough room to remove them. It's not a thick pile so it's easy to wipe off and easy to vacuum up leaves and dry dirt. The backing is a textured rubber/vinyl which holds it in place fairly well. I'm sure it would stay in place better on a tile or cement floor, but it works well on carpet.

I got this thinking it would work in a bathroom hoping the grippy background would work and it may look good. Overall, it's OK but not great. Definitely more utility than style. The grip does work on tacky surfaces like linoleum but not as well for me in tile. But it's not terrible. See pic of bottom. It looks OK from a distance, but up close the coarse fibers collect dust and dog hair really easily. It doesn't look as good as I hoped. In the end I wasn't as happy as I'd hoped. But it does work.

Perfect for interior use, however, I was looking for a small carpet to put in front of my sliding door in my screened porch.  This meets my requirement.  The area is completely sheltered from weather and the harsh Florida sun.  I just wanted something just prior to coming in from outside and stepping directly into the house.  This is best suited for indoor use.  It has a thin rubber backing which makes it perfect in front of a laundry/dryer pair or similar situation.  It's not thick so there won't be a tripping hazard.  I like that it can be easily hosed off if need be.  Simple, plain and effective.  

This mat is very well made though a thinner textured design. This mat would easily fit under doorways, entryways, and in high traffic hallways. This is a textured mat with a rubber backing. Perfect for all those areas where flooring needs to be protected. This is a great mat for the back porch, the back door, or even just into the garage entry. The size is just what is needed in those areas. Easy to clean and care for when muddy feet are at the doorway. I would recommend.

As soon as we examined the rug, everybody agreed it would be perfect for the kitchen. It’s quite heavy and has a thick non-slip backing. The rug lays flat and doesn’t pose a tripping hazard when used on a hardened surface. It will perform equally well when used on carpet. The dark grey color will hide soil and stains. What’s more, the size enables it to be tossed in a washing machine for easy cleaning. The pile is ribbed and quite dense. It will stand-up to hi-traffic areas for many years. The rug is good enough to be used outdoors on the porch or back patio. A high-quality product worthy of being recommended!

I had a small two by three rug by back door entrance to catch dirt off the dogs paws but it wasn't big enough so I saw this bigger utility rug online and ordered it. The piling is soft and runs like channels lengthwise. Being five foot long it catches the dirt before the dogs come inside. The edges are a very thin one inch rubber which is why I gave it a 4 star rating. Still, the mat is worth the money.

Koolaide bright red and again wrong size. Last order was 7” too narrow from listed size and now it’s over a foot longer than listed size.

The mat was cut crooked and seemed unfinished. Unfortunately I NEEDED it at that moment so had to use it, or I would have returned it.

Actually came 23” wide, not 2’7”. Returned. Not worth the value.

Not heavy duty enough for covering floor of carport!

Perfect size to cover our temporary metal steps that are a little slick when wet. It unrolled completely flat which was a plus.

The runners matched the onine descriptions and met our expectations. Rolled out nicely on laminate flooring and stays in place when walked on and when being vaccumed.

First this looks like a kindergartner cut this rug off a roll with unsharp scissors. Not binding on edges like is shows in the pictures. This is the cheap outdoor runner that came from a larger roll of the same type. The cuts were all off, not square on ends and one of them looked like it was ripped off the roll since there was not straight cuts. Poorly designed and would never recommend this rug to anyone, not even my enemies.

My best friend recently had surgery on his back knee. (He's a Big dog at 170#+) Since the floors are finished in Pergo, I was concerned that walking and getting up on the hard Pergo would be a problem. These non-slip runners solved the problem. He can walk and get up safely without strain or injury. He's healing well. Highly recommended.
