I put my shed together last weekend by myself (I did have to get help lifting the plywood on the roof rafters). This is my first experience with a shed kit, so I don't know how it compares to others. It took a lot of reading and re-reading the instructions. There were a few things that were not on the instructions, it was the weekend, so I did what seemed logical. The walls had some green and red dots, but there were no instructions in the kit, as to what those meant. I couldn't see any difference in the walls, so I put them together. I had to clamp them together, because everything is cedar which is soft, so it won't pull itself together with the screws, but I had a small clamp that worked good. The corners I had to have help pushing on the outside of the wall to bring them tight together while I attached them, as there is some warping in the wood. One wall was 3/16 inch shorter than the rest, which didn't seem like that big of deal, until the roof went on and it made everything slightly out of square. I wasn't going to take everything apart, so I left a larger gap on the bottom of one side the plywood to get it right. The only other issue was the 'header' over the door was different than the instructions. It was two pieces attached together with the smaller piece about 1/4 narrower, which left a notch along one edge. I had no idea which way to install the edge, so I did what was logical and put it toward the door opening. After putting everything together, I am still not sure why the notch is there, as it doesn't seem to serve any purpose. I attached the hinges and doors last night making sure the Z was on the bottom, but didn't realize until after they were hung and I went to attached the latch, that the Z was switched around and so the latch won't attach properly. I am still debating on whether to take the doors and hinges off and switch them around, or just buy a different latch. Overall the shed is pretty nice. I was a little disappointed that the wall studs are not 2x4's but 2x3's, and the siding was much wider than the siding in the pictures. The shed does wiggle a bit when pushed on, so hopefully we don't get any strong winds.

Well Designed - Beautiful
My husband did most of the construction by himself. The instructions were easy to read and understand and everything was labeled well so it was easy to find the pieces you need for each step. It is the perfect size to hold all of our lawn & garden tools if you use some shelving and hooks. I love the way it looks and it seems like it will last a long time. The only issue was there were a few boards that were warped as mentioned in other reviews. We had to make a few extra cuts on some pieces to make everything work because of this. So that it kind of frustrating. However, if you are handy and able to do a little backyard engineering then it works out in the end. I would definitely recommend purchasing this little shed.

Overall good experience, especially when compared with previous shed kits. This one had all parts precisely cut and labelled, and came with good, thorough instructions and enough extra screws and nails. Everything fit together smoothly and squarely. They also had good customer care: they called to discuss delivery and sent an email with information links. The shed looks good and seems to have a reasonably weatherproof design. (Haven't yet had stormy weather to be sure.)

Well Worth the Effort (and Price)
Purchased this shed for my (small) back yard to compensate for a shortage of storage place in a recently purchased house. I chose this model because of it's small 6x6 footprint. The shed arrived with a one day delay in the proposed delivery date. Make sure to request a lift truck for delivery. It took 3 people with some basic carpentry skills about 9.5 hours to put the shed up. Including installing the roof. We worked pretty much non stop the entire time. I would recommend that you level the foundation before build day. This took us a while to do, and if I did this again, I would have done it the day before. Make sure that you have plenty of charged batteries for your cordless drill or impact driver (sinks a screw much faster than a regular drill) as most of the construction is done with screws. There is some trim work that is done with brad nails and a hammer. The instructions were excellent. I printed off a second copy on a color printer, which I found helpful. Having two sets of instructions allowed us to 'work ahead' on several steps while the others were also working (trim pieces, assembling doors). Shingles are not included in the kit. I purchased two (2) packages of asphalt shingles at Home Depot, and that was exactly the amount that I needed to roof the shed. I ended up with a lot of extra roofing felt paper that I then donated to Habitat for Humanity. The finished product is great. The shed is sturdy, water tight, and secure. The door hardware provided allows for a good sized padlock to be mounted. The shed is quite spacey on the inside. I ended up buying some brackets for a shelf to allow me to store tools and other bulky items up off the floor. I put everything that would not fit in my house (golf clubs, bike, camping gear, canopies and chairs, lots of home brewing gear) and have room to spare. The cedar smells great, and looks great as well. I did not treat the outside of it, but it should wear well. All in all I recommend the shed to anyone who wants to put the time in for the build. Looks great, is secure, and should last for years.

      Nice Shed!
I installed this shed in three nights after work. The quality of the lumber was phenomenal. All of my boards were straight and of good quality. I had to buy one replacement board due to an improper cut that I made. My only suggestion is to take your time with all of the trim pieces and read, then re-read the instructions. It's easy to mix up some of the trim boards (even though they are well labeled in batches). All of the trim is what really makes the final shed look great. This is a nice cedar shed and at 6x6 it's perfect for a smaller space. I was also really impressed with the company that fulfilled this order for HD. It was an easy delivery and fairly easy install. Note, you do need to purchase two bundles of shingles to finish off the shed.

        Great size for small yard
I have a very small yard, no garage and a small basement. This is a perfect size to hold my outdoor tools, outdoor accessories and other unfrequently used stuff. I was even able to add some loft space inside. My handyman was able to put it up in a day (also building a small deck to set it on.) This is my second outdoor living shed. The other was a mere 3 ft by 5.5 ft and didn't hold much. It has cute style to boot.

Perfect Customer Service Reps at OLT!
Assembly of anything is not easy for a person with ten thumbs who does not know which end of the hammer to use. The assembly manual was excellent, easy to follow, clear, and well illustrated. Perfect customer service reps at OLT - helpful, intelligent and pleasant to deal with.
