I really liked these. They absorb noise well. They were a little harder to paint than I had anticipated and one came with a half inch scrape in the corner but I didn't exchange and now that I have them on the walls am very happy.

Easy to mount, looks great on the walls too. We have a terribly cubed conference room that is perfect for echos...these wall mounted panels definitely helped. We still need to do something about the ceiling bounce back, but these improved the sound already.

Bought two sets to install them in an AC closet as it was very noisy. I would say that the reduction of the sound was like around 70%, so I am pleased with the result. It does have a a noticeable smell when you open them up. Left them outside for a few days and was still able to smell it but not as much as when I received them. Installed them in the closet along with an odor absorber and three weeks after I can barely notice the smell.

We put up two boxes (4 panels) in my son's room (he does pod casting and instructional videos) and it makes a huge difference. The room is 12' x 14' and has one window. We vertically mounted three on the two walls parallel with the direction of his voice, plus one horizontally on the wall above his screens and it does wonders in reducing the rattle of high and mid range echo in the space. If he goes back to doing computer gaming reviews, we may need to add one more set to the ceiling for the sharp, high-pitch noises that most games are filled with. These panels are not good at cutting bass echo, so he will need a few foam corner pieces to help with that. The mounting hardware is very good and allows for some re-positioning to help get things straight. Be sure to do a little research on sound wave reflection and echo reduction for your specific needs before positioning the panels. Home theater is different than recording, etc

This 2-pack of 2' x 4' wall panels gives you 16 sq ft of sound-calming wall area in each pack. We also covered the window with a pleated, heavy-weight curtain, which is behind him when he is speaking. The only thing the room needs is some foam pieces in the ceiling corners to reduce bass echo and it will be about perfect for his voice-over recordings. The mounting hardware is very good and allows for some re-positioning to help get things straight, and the colors are classic. Be sure to do a little research on sound wave reflection and echo reduction for your specific needs before positioning the panels. Home theater is different than recording, etc.

The panels works well with what we wanted to achieve (lower noise in the office). The corners on both panels were damaged during shipment but with framing corners I hope these will improve the look and hide the damage.

I used these panels as ceiling clouds in my music studio. They replaced foam panels and do a superior job of cutting down reflections. Home Depot was very helpful when my original order arrived damaged. The panels do have an odd oder b byut I left them in my garage a few days and it went away.

48" Square Acoustic Wall Panels
These are super easy to install and paintable to match any room or wall. All the hardware is included. Each panel has 4 brackets with screws. The panels are lightweight and easy to maneuver. Using a level saves time and gives a professional appearance. The trick with acoustic panels is determining where to place them for the maximum sound absorption. These are being used in a private office that has a lot of sound reverberation mostly bouncing off hardwood floors. I wasn't sure if these panels would help when the issue is from the flooring but they actually made a big difference. I'm going to be purchasing more of them for my media room.

Very stylish and functional
The fabric on these panels is very stylish and would match any décor. I actually got two sets, grey and tan, and they both look fantastic against my rustic skip trowel plaster and oak wainscot. I think they would even match a modern or contemporary décor as well. They are a lot heavier than I imagined they would be, but a normal adult should have no issues hanging them by themselves. The instillation is a snap with the included hardware and can be done with basic tools, and I mean very basic like the free tool kit you get for opening a checking account at the bank kind of basic. My only gripe with these is they aren’t trimable to size. I’m sure if you were very careful you might be able to peel the fabric back to trim them, but at this price point I’m not willing to gamble on that.

Working well in son's bedroom.
I've moved these around to different rooms in my house. They are most effective in my son's room as he stays up late playing video games and watching movies. I don't hear him or his electronics nearly as much (so long as he closes his door, too.) His window air conditioner is on auto and I rarely hear it when it kicks on even with his door open. They did not noticeably decrease noise from outside the house from birds, neighbor's dogs or traffic. I didn't really expect them to. Our ground level where the kitchen, living room and dining room are is pretty open. I did not notice much difference in sound carrying from one room to another with these panels in place. I only have 2 and the total area is quite large and not easy to close off. Maybe more panels in each room would work better. I don't know why these are pricey, but they definitely are more attractive than the foam panels I've seen used in home recording set ups. I had in mind to use these in my son's room so am happy with how they're working so far. They do have a strong skunky odor. It has dissipated over the past few weeks but I can still smell it when standing close to the panels. My panels arrived with no damage and hanging hardware included. Not reversible.

Quality built
I got these for my bedroom to help make it a little quieter. I live in the city and it can get a little noisy at times. I got these delivered and when I unpacked them, I noticed the odor other reviewers complained about. Smelled like glue, maybe PUR or something. I put them in the garage for a couple days and the odor went away. Installation is a little weird with the brackets provided. They do make a room quieter.

Red acoustic Corning panels
I purchased the panels to help with the noise coming from my next door neighbors. I live in a two-story townhouse and we share a wall. The wall is right up against their stairs. I don't have them actually installed on the wall with the screws, I just have them leaning up against the wall and it does help with the noise. It doesn't completely drown out all the noise but they are a tremendous help. I have 8 panels against the wall from floor to ceiling and thinking that one more pair will muffle all the noise... They work for me.I love them and they blend right in with my red wall.

The product does exactly what I expected it to do, which is to tame excessive mid-and-high frequency reflections in a dedicated audio listening room. And it was relatively easy to hang on the wall, although I used Command Strips instead of the supplied brackets, because I wanted the option to easily change the position if necessary without putting permanent holes in the walls. Been up for several weeks now with no issues regarding their attachment to the wall. My only complaint is that they're priced a bit high compared to other similar products out there, but they look good and do a good job.

    Sound Absorber
This Yellow Rectangle Acoustic Sound Absorbing Wall Panels by Owens Corning not only looks great but it is very effective in sound absorption. The installation is super easy with the included hardware. The tricky part is to identify where the reflected sound came from and that's where you want to put these panels. I also like that it is fire rating according to ASTM E84 which gives you a peace of mind. I was thinking about ordering more with different color so I can mix and match with interior decor.

48 inch square acoustical wall panels
This review is on the 48 inch by 48 inch beigh square acoustic sound absorbing wall panels. I feel this is a very good product. The only reason a point was taken off is because they are something that has to be permanent unless you build a frame. The color is nice, the weight is reasonably light and it does a nice job of absorbing sound. I wish they had a way of making the hardware so that a person could make them portable.

    Acoustic sound absorbing wall
We have the yellow 24 inch by 48 inch rectangle acoustic sound absorbing wall panels. The sound absorbing panels came in a package of two. The acoustical sound absorbing panel means exactly that. I was pleased about how much sound they can absorb. The only reason I took any points off is because they must be placed in a permanent position. A frame would have to be built if you wanted them to be portable.

    Definitely helped with sound quality
Mounted 2 of these panels behind my desk in my home office. Installation was super easy. I was able to do it myself, but a second set of hands would have been helpful. They did smell a bit right out of the box, but it went away after a day or so. Definitely helped bring the sound stage from my sound system forward (speakers are mounted directly opposite of the panels). These also helped reduce some of the mechanical noises from my 3D printer that would reflect off the wall.

    These are amazing!
I love these panels! They are absolutely awesome, i couldn't be more happy with these. I liked that they come with all the necessary tools and hardware to be able to put them into effect. The screws and placements are great to use and it made it very easy to use when I needed to place them up. I play music and these were very good in proving out the sounds coming out of my amp. They do have a good weight to them so be wary of that as well.

    Very Cool
I put the Acoustic, Sound Absorbing Wall Panels up in my garage where I play my guitar. Either I'm getting better of these make the room sound better. I'm going with the latter. These work great for two reasons. One The sound does not bounce around and they make the audio sound much fuller and clean. The second is that is blocks the sound from going into the main part of the house so I am able to crank it up a little bit more and the kids aren't waking up!

    Excellent Sound Absorbtion
These 1.125 in. x 36 in. x 36 in. Paintable Fabric Circle Acoustic Sound Absorbing Wall Panels (2-Pack) are perfect for reducing sound and echoes at home, office, restaurants and especially anywhere music is played, including studios. They are extremely well built, durable and easy to handle. Having the surface paintable allows you to modify for where you want to install. I use in a room with my grand piano and it reduces the echo and sound carryover to the rest of the house. Great design and product performance.

    Attractive panels easy to install
I acquired this product to help reduce the noise from our basement furnace room. I installed it on a sheetrock wall on the outside of the furnace room, not inside the furnace room. Panels have a dense fibrous feel and are not heavy. Each panel comes with 4 hanging brackets ("impalers") and sharp screws with very coarse thread. In my walls, studs were not spaced at locations convenient for the brackets, so more than half of the brackets are simply screwed into the sheetrock. This did not seem to cause any problem - the screws bit and held, and the panels are not heavy. It was helpful to have a 48" level when placing and aligning the brackets, but there are plenty of ways to manage without one. Marks on the wall with painters tape as recommended in the instructions were helpful for lining up the panels before impaling them on the hanging brackets. The panel material is somewhat forgiving, and the panels can be nudged a bit if needed to achieve proper alignment. The panel's room facing surface is a tough fiber not easily torn through. I had to trim off a corner to fit around some ductwork. Did so with a razor knife to start the cut, and a longer thin blade knife to finish. Cuts were clean and not messy. I dressed the cut edges with adhesive-backed aluminum tape. Do these panels actually cut down the noise from the furnace room? My unscientific ears say yes, somewhat, but to finish the job I need more panels.

Performs well and having multiple colors is great
A bit pricey but all most acoustic panels are, I'm glad to see a standard non-audio company stepping into the space. These definitely reduce sound and the multiple colors allows you to easily make an attractive arrangement of them to fit more decors. The 2x2 panels are probably a better buy as they are far more flexible in arrangement, those mixing 2x2 and 2x4 panels can look cool and be very effective. Better yet and far more attractive in my opinion, it can be relatively easy to mount these on the ceiling. I will buy a few more for my basement so that noise doesn't travel to the first floor as easily.

    Nice-looking sound absorbers
Owens Corning is a major player in professional sound control, so these do just what they say. Each panel absorbs 90% of the mid and high sound which hits it, so nearly 4 square feet of total absorption per panel (2 panels per box). Additionally they are nicely finished (boring white) and should not shed fibers, and come with mounting clips. Sound control is not widely understood. Fiberglass panels do not block sound, they keep sound from bouncing around the room and annoying you more. If sound is coming through a wall, first fill all openings in the wall. The gap under a door will leak far more noise than the rest of the wall. Weather-stripping the door can make a huge difference. Solid-core ("fire rated") doors are better than light doors. If there are gaps around pipes, wires, cracks, fix these leaks. Then add absorption. Either near the source or in the room you want quieter. Note that a mostly-hard room will need a lot of panel area to make a large difference. 10% of total surface area is a start. In a living room, this may be 500-1,000 square feet. Carpet helps some, stuffed sofas help a lot, and acoustic panels add even more.

    Not quite what I expected
First of all, I want to emphasize that these really work to absorb room sound. I got them for my dedicated 16' x 33' listening room. I measured the room energy time curve (ETC) both before and after adding the panels. The first reflection energy was reduced from -16.5dB to -19.9dB. Since dB is a logarithmic measurement, that's 1/2 the sound intensity of the reflection compared to not having the panels. Energy reductions were also observed for all following reflections. The product description says "paintable fabric". I wanted white panels, so I thought I was getting white fabric that could be painted. They are not fabric, they're covered with a medium-weight paper. Since I still wanted white panels I didn't try to paint them. They had a strong chemical odor that took several weeks to dissipate. Finally, these have to be shipped, and despite a heroic amount of packaging that looked undamaged when they arrived, 3 of the four corners were damaged and one of those badly enough that the paper was torn. If you decide to order these, I recommend using ship-to-store to minimize handling and then unpack them completely in the store and inspect them. Heavy duty drywall screws and "impaling" clips were provided, 4 clips per panel, 2 screws per clip. Installation went smoothly by following the instructions. Make sure that each clip is level and that each pair of clips are level with each other, then hold the panel level before pushing onto the clips. While I can't recommend the 4'x4' paintable panels, I can highly recommend the the same product in the smaller fabric covered panels. I also got 2'x4' fabric panels. They arrived in excellent condition and were less awkward to handle and install, and work just as well.

The panels were not easy to install due to lack of information to help quantify The value of each panel to determine what is appropriate to solve sound issues. Did not include information about how effective use is for: hand on ceiling, hang on walls, suspend from ceiling, cutting the panel etc.
