Grows fast! Beautifully green! I planted this so my yard would be green through winter. I lightly tracked and spread it out and had lush grass in less than 2 weeks! . Excellent purchase choice!

The seed is born even in this cold. In the Atlanta area I planted it on November 19th and on the December 4th it was green. In 14 days you will see the result. I hope it gets even more beautiful

I highly recommend this product. I mowed my lawn short. Spread out the seed and spread out a thin layer of top soil and booom! 8 days later had great lawn cover!

I had Bermuda grass and tried overseeding for years with no luck. A recent need for plumbing work to be completed resulted in my struggling yard being destroyed from digging and bobcat machines. We needed to repair the lawn. Combined with lawn soil the yard was leveled, raked, and prepped. Lawn soil was put down, then seeded, raked in the seed, and watered twice a day for about 2 weeks. We used 3 bags as added reinforcement! Only needed 1. Best yard on the block!

Seeds are great year round and will flourish within 2-4 weeks. Great results and definitely recommend for new grass growth or patches

Got quick results, fully grew in about 4 weeks. Didn't do much prepping other than raking dead debris from area. Watered 3 times a day and just saw grass coming up every day, extremely impressed

We use this every winter. It performs consistently and this year within a week, we had sprouts. In another week or two, we’ll have lush green grass again

Didn’t produce , a lot of bare spots where seeds did not take.

The grass seed just sat there. No germination what so ever. I’m very disappointed. I’ve planting annual rye grass the last three years and I’ve always been successful. Not this batch.

The grass seed came in patchy. I am watering on the recommended schedule but it is only taking in certain parts. Home depot doesn't carry any other competing brands of rye grass so this is what I was stuck with.

These are some very good seeds, at first I was skeptical since no grass I tried grows in my area but this took off! After about 4 days I started seeing grass, and after 2 weeks everything was covered in lush grass.

About 30% of the seeds did not germinate, looking for alternatives at the local plant nursery and feed stores.

I'm located in the northern part of Georgia and over seeded my Bermuda grass in early October 2021. It's now December 28th and my lawn is the only green lawn on the block. Loving the color and its filled beautifully. I definitely recommend if you're in the south and wanting a green lawn throughout the winter months!

Overseeded our back yard. Just scapled and seeded. Watered twice daily and recieved 4 inches of rain in the first week. By day 10 it was 4-6 inches tall. Good stuff! Highly recommend!

It says "summer grass seed" came in beautifully however once the temos went above 100° it all died off. Now its mushy mess. I couldnt be more dissatisfied. If they said temps above 100 not recommended I wouldnt have purchased two bags and wasted over a hundred dollars. If your temps stay 90° and below this is the grass seed for you. As you can see in the photos my Bermuda grass is thriving the rye is dead.

The pictures speak for themselves!! I have a spot in my yard that wouldn’t grow, even after laying st. augustine a few years ago.. it thrived everywhere but under the tree as it’s so shaded there. My sister told me she used this product on her lawn so I decided to give it a try since it was so cheap (compared to sod!) I just sprinkled it with my hand right out of the bag, it took maybe 20 minutes tops. Originally I was only watering once per day and I was seeing small growth after about 3 days. But after doing some research, I learned you need to keep the seeds moist for optimal growth so I decided to change my watering to 4x per day, for 8 minutes each and BAM! It took off. It’s so beautiful and lush. I can’t believe a product like this exists after all this time struggling to keep the st. augustine alive in that spot! I also want to note, this product is listed as being for winter but my sisters lawn in Texas stayed green all year long, even in the triple digit temps! Highly recommend this product!

I bought 2/50lb bags. It covered 1 acre nicely. It came up in 3 days. Have to keep it watered though

Excellent choice for Winter grass. Within 2 weeks, I had a new lawn. Remember to add a layer of compost to protect your seeds from birds. Watered 2X per day. 4 minutes in the morning, and 8 minutes in the evening.

I've used Pennington Annual Ryegrass seed to overseed my warm season grass in the fall and winter in SC for the past 3 years and I've never had anything but great results! It's also a wonderful, short term solution for slopes where erosion can be a problem.The key is to either work it into the soil with a rake or lightly cover with a layer of compost and water consistently until it sprouts. The only downside for annual ryegrass is that it grows very fast and requires weekly mowing especially if there's been a decent amount of rain. Overall, I highly recommend for a beautiful, green lawn in cooler months!

I over seeded my zoysia with this annual ryegrass.

My brother did the job without any experience. It looks awesome now. We didn’t water our front lawn for 5 years. After seeding it, it’s so green in 4 weeks. It’s easy!

Worked as expected. We now have a nice winter lawn coming in where there was previously dirt and sand since this was new construction.
