Birds really like it. So do the rabbits. The squirrels too much. Great value. It’s my new go to for my feeders.

Dont hang over mulch, birds toss seeds and it sprouts causing a huge mess and time consuming to clean up. fenced in yard so no squirrels or other animals to clean ground.... will invest in bird food that they want to eat.

We filled our feeder with this seed and it has yet to attract any birds. We also have a resident squirrel that digs out alot of it and he hasn't been seen either. It is the first of May when we are trying it and maybe the timing is wrong. Not sure. We have never had a problem with bird seed before. I guess all seeds are not the same. We will go back to our old brand.

The product is great, the birds love it. Issue I had was the bins the store keep the bird seed in, so rodents don't get to it. The bins needed to be cleaned. These bins were filthy and rodent feces on the top of each of the plastic bins, the seed is kept in. I would recommend this product. The shopping experience is why I gave it a two star overall rating.

Bird not eating it

I have one word for you. BIRDS! After loading my feeder up with this fine seed, I was in BIRD HEAVEN. Chickadees, Nuthatches, Grackles, Blue Jays, additional Nuthatches, you name it, they were there! Suddenly, I was the owner of an exclusive downtown Bird Night Club...everyone wanted in! 10/10

Definitely attracted a great many birds to my back yard. Not filled with Sunflower seeds as many of the packages of Bird Seed I buy are.

This seed is 60% sunflower and another 5% sticks! My birds won't even eat it.

My sister has a nice bird feeder but did not have it set up. She still works from a home office and spends many hours each day in her office sometimes on long conference calls. I thought it would be a great idea to set it up and fill it with some good birdseed to attract many of the birds that are in the bordering woodlands to her house. So, I got a 10 lb. bag of the Pennington Wild Bird Food Seed as that seemed like a good choice. Set her bird feeder up and within ½ hour birds were showing up! So far, she has seen various finches, Cardinals and even a Pileated Woodpecker! Whenever we talk now, I get a report of the type and how many birds she has seen that day! The birds do seem to love this seed blend very much and it appears to appeal to many bird types here in the Tampa, Florida area. I am quite sure when this bag is finished she will buy more!

When you live back in the middle of acres of woods like we do this Pennington Wild Bird Seed Food is a big hit with the wild birds. Finches in particular seem to be more attracted to this blend of bird seed more so than the other wild birds. It is also a big hit with our abundant little fury forest creatures being the squirrels. The good thing is that they all love the bird seed and share it alike.

PENNINGTON WILD BIRD FOOD We received this Pennington Wild Bird Food from the Home Depot Seeds program to try out. My Wife who is a bird lover of smaller birds looked at several bird seed/food assortments and thought this would be great for her new feeder, looking at the seed package there appears to be every type of seed there, from very small to the sun flower seed as the largest. Any little feathered friend would be happy foe this feast. It is a little early yet because of cold weather.

We received this birdseed about a week ago and put it in our new bird feeder. I would like to have given this a comprehensive review. However, not yet having had a single bird light on our feeder, that we know of, it's not possible to say the birds like it or not. We have suet cakes on the feeder with mealworms and fruit also, and they have also failed to attract birds. I have heard that it often takes the birds awhile to discover the feed. I'm assuming the lack of birds is not a reflection of the quality of this birdseed, and in time I hope to see more activity.

The Pennington brand has been one that I have personally had a good amount of success with. The seed blend is exactly what birds in my Northeast section of the US seem to enjoy the most. I tend to combine the Year Round Wild Birth seeds with their Fruit and Nut blend because they tend to be enjoyed by the types of birds e.g. Cardinals and Blue Jays, that habitat in and around my back yard. Take a close up look at the provided picture for the quality and type of content in the bags. Good value for the money and quality of the seeds are reasons I have rate this product highly.

This is excellent quality bird seed, there was no significant non seed items in the mix. I have purchased seed before that was full of sticks and twigs and was very pleasantly surprised with this seed. I put it in my feeder and almost immediately the birds were on it. I live in a rural area and have several feeders in my yard, this mix is just the right amount of seed variety, you will always have someone stopping to eat!

Received this as part of the seed program for use and an honest review, so here it goes. Comes in a 10lb bag for attracting wild birds. Have had Cardinals already feasting away. Had three males and two females but as I went outside to take a picture all but one female flew away, and the picture I did get didn't come out well as you will see from the picture I attached. Bottom line is they like it. It has attacked other types of bird to, so looking forward to the spring when they all come and eat.

The Pennington 10 lbs. Wild Bird Seed Food usually attracts a variety of birds but I didn't see as many maybe due to the colder weather recently in southern Fla. There is a nice variety of seeds , high quality at a good price point. The squirrels have a great time picking thru the seed when the birds are not around. We store the bird seed elevated on a shelf in a cool, dry location in our garage. We keep our bird seed in the original bag in a storage container and make sure that it is closed / sealed tightly.
