Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Milo, when matched with the proper feeder/environment is a preference for a variety of birds. When placed on platform feeders or the ground (near cover for more paranoid birds), milo will draw American Crows, Black-billed Magpies, Red-winged Blackbirds, Northern Cardinals, various Jays (Blue, Steller's, etc.), Quail (California, Gambel's, etc.), Sparrows (Golden-crowned, Fox, etc.), Towhees (Eastern, Chipping, etc.), Doves (White-winged, Mourning, etc.), Wild Turkey, Band-tailed Pigeons, Curve-billed Thrashers, and Dark-eyed Juncos. Milo in a Large Hopper feeder would draw various Sparrows, Doves, Jays, Pigeons, Cardinals, and Red-winged Blackbirds. However, we do have a wide variety of seeds that will cater to other birds that do not contain Milo. Thank you.

My sister has a nice bird feeder but did not have it set up. She still works from a home office and spends many hours each day in her office sometimes on long conference calls. I thought it would be a great idea to set it up and fill it with some good birdseed to attract many of the birds that are in the bordering woodlands to her house. So, I got a 10 lb. bag of the PENNINGTON PREMIUM SELECT 10 LBS. WILD BIRD SEED BLEND as that seemed like a good choice. Set her bird feeder up and within ½ hour birds were showing up! So far, she has seen various finches, Cardinals and even a Pileated Woodpecker! Whenever we talk now, I get a report of the type and how many birds she has seen that day! The birds do seem to love this seed blend very much and it appears to appeal to many bird types here in the Tampa, Florida area. I am quite sure when this bag is finished she will buy more!

This bag of wild bird seed has a lot of different types of seeds in it. I have used other brands that had sunflower seeds in it and birds seemed to really like it. The seed flows out of my feeder easily so it shouldn't clog the openings. I am hoping it will attract a lot of wild birds this spring as I enjoy sitting on my porch and watching them eat from the feeder.

BIRDS GALORE!!! Pennington's Premium Select Seed is ideal for attaching many different colorful flying friends. The seed is mostly 100% consumable by the birds (some sunflower seeds) and there is very little filler seed. I put the seed out and within 24 it's a Bird Haven! Finches, Jay's,Cardinals, Robin's even possible Orioles( black n orange...not certain if they are or not) Only con would be it is devoured quickly and refilling the feeder within 2-3 days.

What can you say about wild bird feed? The proof is in the eating. The birds in my area love this blend. They clean out my feeder in one day. Even the squirrels enjoy what falls to the ground. I like the 10lb bag. Easy to handle and carry around. My grandson loves watching all the birds from our living room window. It does attract a lot of different birds.

I was really surprised when I opened this seed bag. I never really thought their was much difference in bird seed. At first glance ay the bag they all kind of looked the same. Once I poured the seed out the difference between what I usually buy and this seed was clearly different. The Pennington PremiumSelect Wild Bird seed is a superior product. You can see the nuts clearly. The birds usually dump a ton of seed on the ground. With the Pennington it seems more food is being eatten. I clearly see a huge difference in the premium food vs the regular wild bird food I usually buy.

The Pennington Premium mix has a lot of Sunflower and Safflower seeds which the birds like and the ratio in this mix is much greater than in the inexpensive seed mixes. . Looking at the package, you can tell that there isn't a lot of the cheap filler like rice, rapeseed, red millet, golden millet and flax. The birds in my yard seem to like it and the squirrels are enjoying whatever falls from the feeder. There was a bluebird earlier.

Already seeing different birds. We keep bird feed out to watch the birds. After just 1 day, we have the little blue birds back. We have also seen cardinals, chickadee, Carolina wren, house finches, thrasher, red headed woodpecker, and more. They have already eaten a fair portion of the feed. Quality of the bag was good so it doesn't tear or break open. Used sissors to open the top and just rolled and clipped the bag to seal back.
