The new cartridge will correct the dripping or leaking that is happening and also the handle from sticking. Hello disappointed, We’re sorry to hear you couldn’t use the Ashfield model you purchased. We have other models, such as the Pfirst Series model #G529-PF2S, similar to the Ashfield model in a Stainless-Steel finish. The Pfirst series faucet is about 1” shorter, but it has a forward-only handle, which means the handle functions in a forward motion, no need to worry that the handle will hit the backsplash. The handle pulls out to open, then forward, starting on cold and gradually getting hotter as the handle comes down.
