was very happy with this product - 2 tricks to make installation easier. 1. - turn the rails upside down so you can see all the holes and make sure they line up - mark the inside of the holes to ensure orientation during installation. 2. - when putting the top rail on with the poles installed in the bottom rail, put only the bottom screw in the top rail bracket so that you can tilt it slightly, there is a little slop in the poles moving up and down, use wooden tooth picks to wedge the poles into the top rail while still inside the bottom rail. Once all the poles are lined push the top rail down all the way and remove the tooth picks - or - assemble the entire unit on the ground while laying on their side and bind the top & bottom with the poles installed with rope or straps.

I ordered two rail kits and had to return one because one of the rail pieces was warped and bowed. The replacement came and it was acceptable though there were many knots and imperfections. Some sanding and patching with wood filler is needed.. Fortunately I primed and painted the kits and looked good installed. Did not use the screws supplied to mount. Did not seem strong enough to hold.

This is the third time they have order the products from there supplier ,here's hoping someone checks them before they get shipped this time.Home depos employees keep saying its not there fault and they cannot ask the supplier to check them before there shipped. Then home depot should source out better suppliers this disgusting ,Third rate suppliers makes for a third rate store.Dan

The wood was so wet it was squirting water out when we would insert screws. Now that have been on the deck for 8 months the warping is awful. The metal posts will not stay on because so much warp. This product is not recommended, Home depot would not give me exchange even though I used my HD credit card. I even cut down to 6 feet and they warped I could only imagine if I had left longer. I spent around $1000 on these to do my deck, Very disappointed.

Material was knotty & warped. Brackets were missing in box.

Absolutely poor material spindles are all out of alignment Will likely bring store mgr here to resolve

Easy DIY railing. Would get 5 stars if the hardware was better, but considering the low cost I expected cheaper hardware and planes accordingly.

The boards were so warped I had to order to more sets to make one good rail, I’ve ordered another kit to make my second one usable. The holes are not centered in the rail and some holes are not the same width apart, some are 4 inches and others are 3 inches, I would have slanted rails, unacceptable, very poor quality and will need er buy Pro Wood again

4 out of 5 were good. The fifth one was warped

The 8 foot looks great for my deck, but it should’ve been taller . At 36 inches which is code leaves a large gap under the railing. My kids balls, keep rolling under it and falling off the deck.

Made replacing the old railings on my deck with the pro wood railings easy as a do it yourself job and look and feel nice. Solar post lights made a nice finish.

After returning three kits for poor quality I accepted the fourth one

I bought five kits and every rail was either twisted or warped, some had holes where knots are. The top rail did not fit over the brackets therefore leaving a gap between the cap and the post. It was not easy to put together as stated in videos. I was very disappointed in the quality of the materials.

It was okay except having to put the railing’s together and the wood was warped a little which made installing a headache if I had known it wasn’t quality wood or already assembled I would not hav g go it these railings, all the railings were warped

Difficult assembly for one person, wood quality not consistent with the cost.

I recently purchased a large quanity of the rail kits and I am very dissapointed in the low quality of the product. The rail caps and rails were all consistently warped and discolored and look cheap. Due to that I am planning on returning the kits for a refund.

The wood was warped, gouged and huge knot holes. They sent us the wring brackets and screws. And we were short 1 baluster. Very poor quality!!

Good quality Top rail was a bit warped but we made it work

Wood was warped, brackets aren't as pictured and fit incorrectly per instructions. Hate this product
