Despite having painted and sealed the wood this product lasted 9 months. Laminate began to peal and warp.

These boards are very nice, although quite expensive. They save time and effort into cutting the hole, and assures the hole will be perfectly round and even. The maple wood finishes nicely. I use vinyl and some paint, but I try to leave some plain wood because it looks so nice. Then I finish with a couple coats of clear gloss Sparethane. I have bought 8 sets of these and my friends are always happy with the end project.

Far better quality plywood than available from the local store and the corn hole cutout is well done. I have purchased these on two occasions now and was pleased both times.

This was my 1st set of cornhole boards to make. I took the easy way out and also the coat of lumber was just starting to riseso this was economical. But... The "maple" is just a veneer on top of the plywood and the corners and edges came in chipped. The surface has a very slick sheen to it so it really needs to be sanded with 1000 grit Emory cloth before painting (I found this out the hard way). It's an ok piece of material but I would never buy it again. The paint I used had the primer included but having not sanded the surface prior to painting, the paint more smeared than brushed on evenly leaving ugly brush marks that just can't be painted out.

Purchased 2 of these 2 x 4 x 1/2" cornhole boards blanks. They arrived at the store on time. Shipped together and were well packaged, arriving without damaged edges or corners. My project went extremely well as I mostly followed the Home Depot instructions. Although I changed the 2x4's to 2x3's clear DF. The project was finished in 6 coats of Exterior Spar Semi-Gloss Urethane. Providing a hard durable finish. As a precaution the maple laminate is fairly thin, using the urethane seemed to provide addional protection. Great project to construct and these pre-cut boards helped save time and the cost of specialized hole saw.

The board was exactly like the description, the hole was perfect and board was cut to size correctly. However, the corners were bent and crumbled. Check your boards before leaving the store.

These are always great quality and have no issues with the boards being chipped or cracked when I get them. I just wish they would make 3/4 inch boards instead of just 1/2 inch.

OK, but check for defects. Ordered 2 of these. One was fine. One was missing a fairly large section (2in x 6in) of internal ply. Note that this is a PRODUCT complaint, not a SHIPPING complaint, as the problem is UNDERNEATH the top ply and is not visible until painted. I didn't know this until I'd assembled the whole thing and applied the primer, which caused that section to have a lot of ripples. It was too much trouble to remove it at that point and return it, so I cut the section out and applied a LOT of wood filler, which worked well enough, tho is not perfect. If you get these, check them VERY carefully for missing internal plys. If you push down, you can feel the top ply "give" where there's no support underneath.

Boards delivered in perfect condition. Is there another option for wood thickness? possibly in a 3/4 version. Overall great condition looks great and lives up to the picture. Solid product and well worth the price point

Excellent time saver with it being cut to size and having the hole cut-out already. Stains and paints beautifully.

I was hesitant due to these being shipped, but they were well packaged. It’s a great time saver with sanding, and removing the 6” hole. Also, I was pleased they worked well on a router.

These boards were perfect for the first time project I was putting together. They looked great and the finished set look even better. This product also eliminated numerous steps in putting together this project. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

The boards themselves were great but packaging was not adequate. Got them home and opened the box, two edges were deformed on each board due to mishandling and/or being dropped. I ended up just repairing the boards using wood filler than to work with Home Depot to replace them. Don’t make the same mistake I did, check the boards when you pick them up.

The pre-cut hole saved me a lot of time when I was assembling the cornhole game away from my home.

Quality wood - nice sanded ply with clean cut on the hole. Makes an easy project much easier! But a couple 2x4’s and carriage bolts w/ wingnuts andfinish to your liking - done!!

I thought "those negative reviews are probably the exception, I'm sure these will be fine"... I was wrong, VERY wrong. The problems with these can be split into three distinct categories: production problems,conceptual problems, and shipping problems. Production Pros: Holes are PERFECTLY cut and in the exact right spot Boards are exactly 2'x4' and square Production Cons: the side cuts are lazy at best, most of the corners are rounded off, and it looks like it's from the cutting, not shipping. chips on the edges from either cutting too fast or with a dull blade Conceptual Pros: ...cheap? Conceptual Cons: THESE ARE NOT PLYWOOD!!! One of my corners is chipped pretty badly and it's clear that these are thin veneer over PARTICLE BOARD!!! More specifically, it looks like it's three layers of LDF (aka Low Density Fiberboard). As if that's bad enough, it looks like it's pine LDF, not that it really even matters... DO NOT GET THESE WET!!! When I say thin veneer, I'm not even close to kidding, we're talking about the thickness of construction paper! Shipping Pros: Surprisingly well packed with multiple layers of cardboard, the problems obviously aren't related to the packing. Shipping Cons: It looks like my boards had a hard life on their way to their well designed box, one of the corners is so bad I wouldn't even be able to fix it with wood fill, it's a lost cause. Final verdict: AVOID! Unless you want boards that won't last and you just don't have the tools to do your own hole cutting, these just aren't worth it even at only $17.50/ea! Mine will be returned to Home Depot...
