Ordered two of these boards so we could make our own corn hole game boards. Sadly the two boards were put in a box with NO PACKING, so they could slide around in the box during shipping denting the corners. One board had damage to three of the corners and the other two of the corners were compromised. How hard can it be to add a little packing to each corner! This was not a cheap piece of wood. Unfortunately there was not time to return theses boards and order two more. Would not buy again, learned a lesson!

Cornhole laminate began to peal and warp
Despite having painted and sealed the wood this product lasted 9 months. Laminate began to peal and warp.

These boards are very nice, although quite expensive. They save time and effort into cutting the hole, and assures the hole will be perfectly round and even. The maple wood finishes nicely. I use vinyl and some paint, but I try to leave some plain wood because it looks so nice. Then I finish with a couple coats of clear gloss Sparethane. I have bought 8 sets of these and my friends are always happy with the end project.

This was my 1st set of cornhole boards to make. I took the easy way out and also the coat of lumb...
This was my 1st set of cornhole boards to make. I took the easy way out and also the coat of lumber was just starting to riseso this was economical. But... The "maple" is just a veneer on top of the plywood and the corners and edges came in chipped. The surface has a very slick sheen to it so it really needs to be sanded with 1000 grit Emory cloth before painting (I found this out the hard way). It's an ok piece of material but I would never buy it again. The paint I used had the primer included but having not sanded the surface prior to painting, the paint more smeared than brushed on evenly leaving ugly brush marks that just can't be painted out.

Great way to construct your Cornhole Boards
Purchased 2 of these 2 x 4 x 1/2" cornhole boards blanks. They arrived at the store on time. Shipped together and were well packaged, arriving without damaged edges or corners. My project went extremely well as I mostly followed the Home Depot instructions. Although I changed the 2x4's to 2x3's clear DF. The project was finished in 6 coats of Exterior Spar Semi-Gloss Urethane. Providing a hard durable finish. As a precaution the maple laminate is fairly thin, using the urethane seemed to provide addional protection. Great project to construct and these pre-cut boards helped save time and the cost of specialized hole saw.
