This heating system was far more complicated than I anticipated. It requires an underlayment that is additional. It requires an additional thermostat while I planned for only a wall timer. The 36” width is too large for my 32” hallway so I have to cut the heating system and arrange complicated wiring that is required to be fitted into the underlayment. It is a lot more work than I anticipated and more expensive parts to be shipped to my home.

I'm surprised, the floor feels so warm that I don't want to move from that place where we put the heating sheet. Too bad it is expensive to do the whole living room.

Worst product I’ve ever bought. No support service and cost me a week on my project and $200 dollars on an unneeded electrician visit.

great product. great and responsive support to questions you have. You will need to extend wires if you max out the pads going into one channel. You need 14 AWG to be joined for sure. make sure that wires are taped one by one into a channel in the underlay, else you are going to have overlaps and create an unlevel base that the wood will sit on.

We bought a high quality 5mm vinyl floating floor from a showroom and according to the installation instructions provided by Quiet Warmth, we should have been fine as long as we didn't program the heat above 80. We have our heat set to 50 at all times and our floors are warping 4 months later. DO NOT USE WITH VINYL. There is nothing we can do at this point, we don't have the money to replace the $5000 of high end vinyl material or the will to tear up everything including cabinets, insulation and trim. We will end up strategically placing furniture and rugs over our beautiful brand new floors

Bought one piece to keep area rug in family room warm for my dog. I can hardly feel the warmth through the rug with my feet. But Fido does. It's is very thin. The lead wires are thicker. I can feel those but not the pad itself. Current draw is about 0.5 A, 60W. I control it using a smart switch.

This is a great company. My house was flooded and after that a few of my mats malfunctioned. I called them just to ask if I could order new replacement mats (planning on paying for them), and Duane said that since the mats were still under warranty, QuietWarmth would honor that and replace the malfunctioning mats for free. They mailed me replacement mats the next day, no questions asked. Very fast and very helpful customer service. Honoring your product and your word matters a lot and creates a sense of safety for the customer. This is one of those companies. Also, my floors are nice and warm! Great product; I installed everything myself just fine.

This product does heat the floor but it is a very slow warm up. It does lay down well and is very thin. I place the laminate flooring directly on top of the film. It should be good in the winter but it is something that will just have to be left on. It took about 45 minutes before we started to feel the difference in the temperature of the floor.

Very easy to install. Definitely need to put down a pad to bury wires and sensors for floating floor.

We have a basement room with 11 foot ceilings and was told by a couple contractors that room would always be cold be design. We were also told these mats would only warm up the floor and not do much for the air temp. This 400 sqft room is now warm and comfortable with 6 of these mats installed!

Good heating under laminat

Let me start by saying I did not install this under a floating floor. I instead mounted it below my existing hardwood floor in our kitchen. I have access below from the basement so the installation was pretty easy and straight forward. Others have mentioned that this is less for heating the room and more for keeping the floor warm to the touch. You will need a thermostat to install this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed one mat in our patio room to heat a corner for our dog so he will have a spot to warm up during cold weather. Upon testing, it took around 20 minutes before the heat could really be felt. The install is straightforward if you are comfortable with electrical work, but a DIYer should be able to install with little to no difficulty. I would recommend reading all of the directions prior to installing and it should answer most questions. There are 10' leads that need to be installed into a thermostat, which was ample length for our project. We originally purchased bamboo flooring, but had to return it and purchase laminate flooring, as it was not recommended for the heat film. This project was started and completed in a weekend for an 11x13 room.

We had the 1.5 ft. x 60 in. x 0.016 in. 120-Volt Radiant Heat Film for Click-Together Floors installed during our recent bathroom remodel. We placed it in front of the vanity to provide comfort while getting dressed. It was installed by our contractor to insure proper installation. It is undetectable under the flooring until you feel the gentle warmth radiating up from the floor. It's a real treat on those chilly mornings. Ours is operated on a timer switch so we don't forget to turn it off when we are done using it. I can't wait to see how it will warm things up when it's below zero outside!
