Very Bright!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with the first use! I have other Ryobi tools and have been good to me! The great thing about Ryobi is the 18V batteries also work with the older blue Ryobi 18v tools.

Seeing one of these lights at work, I had to have one. The day after purchasing mine, I had the advantage of installing in my Salt water chlorine generator for my pool in the dark. It was a perfect light source for the task. I had the light 10 feet away which lit the area well and gave a better area of light for the task at hand. Points that like about the light. * Folds up to a nice flat position which makes it easy to stow and carry. * Carry handle on the back is a great add High and low setting is all this light really needs and in most cases you can run it on the low setting with plenty of light for your project. *Telescoping upper stand is a nice bonus for getting your light elevated. I wouldn't mind it going about 10 to 15 inches taller for better coverage. I would add pictures for reference but it looks like I dont have the option.

    Awsome aesthetic product!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the item today and I love the aesthetic design as well as the brightness and the ergonomic features of having a battery or corded. Sturdy and can easily keep in closet once folded, it's a space saver! considering the color combination of green and grey of the ryobi product as well as their versatile line of products. Expecting more new tools from you RYOBI.

Does everything I need it to do.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this while working on remodeling a house that had no power. Plugging it in with its hybrid feature provided more that enough lighting paired with the smaller Ryobi light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product to improve the specific lighting for my woodworking, however it serves many other purposes and it’s great investment.

            Love this light!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this recently for my weekend woodworking hobby. I never had enough light when working on projects with existing overheads and this really helped tremendously. Very happy with this light and the fact that it is so portable!

This thing will light up a basketball court
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Moved to Puerto Rico not knowing how often the power goes out. A flash light wasn’t enough, so I had to go for the big guns! And it was an excellent choice. Definitely recommend it!

                Are you kidding me?!?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a light nerd and am a fairly well educated expert when it comes to lighting solutions. My honest opinion is that this is one of the best portable lighting solutions available. I spent several hours researching different offerings from various manufacturers. The Ryobi Tripod Light os by far the best light I found even when compared to lights costing almost twice as much. This unit is well thought out, has great output and throw, solid coverage, and sturdy construction. Combined with its double insulated electronics and great looking finish, there is no better unit in this price range. Additionally I think it's important to note that Ryobi's customer service reps have always been great before and after a sale. I grew up in a "Makita / DeWalt," household but purchased my first Ryobi power tools in 1998. Since then I've bought quite a few more of their tools and all of them have impressed me as the best value out there. My suggestion for the follow-up model to this light is to integrate dual light heads and the ability to switch between 3,000 and 5,000 Kelvin as 3,000 is much better suited to the human eye and many companies are making the selectivity standard on their lighting systems. Please also consider the ability to raise the light to 8 feet for even better area coverage and to take the light head out of eye level. You can charge an additional $30 to $40 and you will outshine and outclass your competition.

                  Ryobi Tripod light
This Ryobi Tripod light is a must have, after I bought it my back coil packs went out in my Acadia SUV. Wife need the car for work the next day and started to get dark, so I pulled out the Tripod set it up adjusted head and was just like say day light. Came in handy that you can adjust the height of light on the tripod, after 4 hrs of constant use only used 1 bar off battery. Then during a wicked cold snap we lost lights a couple of times and this Ryobi light lite up my whole living room down the hallway and my bedroom easily. I would 100 percent recommend this Ryobi Tripod light, a must have to your Ryobi collection.

                  Great for renovation work.
Bought this since I need light in areas where I need to shut off power or lights were not available. Love that battery is compatible between this and other ryobi tools.

                  Very Bright, Overall Great
I do really like this light, my only complaint is that it is a bit “flimsy”. It folds compact, and it is very bright. I used it with a 1.5 AH battery the other day and it lasted for 2 hours on low lower for most of the time. I would definitely recommend this light, but Ryobi could have made it a bit more sturdy.

                    Great concept needs refinement
I bought this less than a month ago for mainly camping and occasional around the house. All in all this is a great addition to camp life, two settings and easy to move around camp where needed. After 4 days of camping and using a 3 ah battery the charge had only gone down two bars, great! Issues: First off no AC cord, think should have been included like other dual power tools,(fans ex.) Second things are just not tight, sliding clamps needed tightening, feet needed some sort of adhesive to keep from falling off. Third I don’t know who designed the coiled power cord that attaches the light head to the the extension pole but it needs to be longer and on the opposite side of the light head. It makes no sense the way it is designed and over time will fail. Finally as others have mentioned what is with the tiny Phillips screw holding the led head on the top of the pole? This is a major flaw. After all this rant I still love the design concept and hope with gentle care and a self made storage bag it will survive what it was designed for

I have been a Ryobi fan for a while, but I am currently of the opinion that this item is a bit hit and miss. It does offer a very attractive price point, and allows you to find other uses for their battery line, but I am not yet in love with this item, perhaps time will tell. Pro: I really like the multiple ways you can position the light. It is really bright and has a better color to it than some of their other models, but not anywhere near as good as I think it could be at this time in LED evolution. Con: The telescoping tubes were difficult to tighten enough to keep the light from sliding down back down into the tube. Quality of construction appears light duty. Time will tell if this light holds up. I have never been a fan of Ryobe's three position switches. I prefer separate on/off switch and mode switches.

Wow, this light is really bright! It lights up my whole back yard at night, even on the low setting. The tripod design and extensible telescoping sections mean I can position the light low or high. I was even more impressed by the ability to lay the light flat, and use it to overhang a work area. I tied to show this in pictures. The only thing I noticed were the clamps that lock the telescoping sections of poles in place, were a little loose out of the box. I just tightened them a little with an allen key and things were great. This is definitely something that I will use all the time. I have all the ryobi lights, but there have bee. many times there wasnt anything to hang the light from when I needed to get it up higher. This fits the bill, and the folding design keeps everything in a compact package.

I love the other Ryobi lights but this one was a miss for me. The placement of the power button, on the base of the tripod, the lack of protection for the LED panel, the placement of the handle( it is on the wrong end in my eyes), made this light a product that I would not recommend. The light is bright and has 2 settings. The color temperature is. A cool blue. I do not like the placement of the power button at the bottom of the base because when you go to turn the light off, there is a great chance that the light will be shining down on you based on the position of the head. There are three clamps to adjust the height of the light. The nuts were loose so the light creeps out especially when I carry it by the handle with the lamp facing the ground. The head is adjustable. There is no protection barrier around the lamp head, so it is very possible for the light to become damamged during transport. The power switch is on the base so you have to bend down to turn it off/on or use your foot. Folding and unfolding the light is an easy task All in all I would not recommend this product

I used this to rewrite my daughter’s basement lighting. I like the swivel head to adjust the light were you need it. The set up was quick and easy. The hybrid is nice I used both battery and cord. Both ways worked very well. The unit is lite to carry and comes with a carrying strap. You can use the strap as a hanger. There is three sections for height and two brightness

I got this Ryobi tripod stand light to use for projects around the house and to use when camping for light at night. The stand is really light and easily folds out to form the tripod. The stand is adjustable to raise or lower the height of the light, the light can also swivel up and down. I was very impressed with the brightness of the light. It lit up our campsite this weekend. I look forward to using it around the house and on future camping trips.

I really love my new RYOBI 18-VOLT ONE+ CORDLESS HYBRID TRIPOD STAND LIGHT (TOOL ONLY)! Its compact design and light weight make it easy to take with you wherever you go. It has two brightness settings so you get the perfect amount of light you need. It folds easily all the way down to 22” and gives you great footing with its very stable tripod. When fully extended, it stands right at 5’ tall. Like some of their other tools, Ryobi has given you the option of using the battery or plugging it in, which I think is great! I don’t like where they put the switch on this light, however. It’s on the bottom of the tripod very close to the ground making it necessary for you to have to bend over to turn it on and off. Overall, I think Ryobi has once again done a great job with this light, incorporating it into its one battery fits all lineup of the ONE+ products!

I have mixed feelings about this light. On one hand, it does a great job of lighting up your work site. Being able to use the battery, or plug it into AC power is a nice option. On the other hand, the location of the controls could be better. They are too close to the ground. I hate having to bend over that far to turn it off when taking a break. At 65, I don't bend as easy as I used to. The light has a nice tripod setup. It is stable even when fully extended. It does take a bit of floor space, so you may have problems setting it up in tight places. This light will see plenty of use in the future. It could use some improvements, but overall it does the job.

The hybrid tripod stand light comes well packaged. The feet need to be installed but there are slots on the tripod that enable you to install the feet in the proper direction. It also has a handle that you can hang the tripod up on the wall. There is a small white button on the base of the extension pole. That's what releases the leg that has the battery on it. The unit has high and low settings. And as the name hybrid indicates you can also use an extension cord to power it.

A great addition for anyone invested in the Ryobi battery ecosystem, this LED light is bright, compact when folded, and light enough to carry easily and move around once deployed. This light is easy to setup and take down and is very stable one in place. Adjusting the height is also simple (although I did have to tighten up the hex head screws when I first got this so the locking clamps would hold tight). A huge bonus is that it can run on either an 18-volt Ryobi battery OR on AC power by simply plugging an extension cord into it, so you don’t have to be part of the Ryobi system to use it! I find myself using this light about half the time plugged in when working in my garage/workshop (which is not well lit if the garage door is closed) and the other half of the time on battery when finishing up a project in the late afternoon or evening in the backyard, or when I have to go somewhere to work where the lighting is poor (like my storage unit). It has two settings: push the ON button once and it it at full brightness and push it a second time and goes to a low light setting (perfect for close work). It even warns you when your battery is low (lamp flashes at you). When folded this lamp has a compact profile and a hand strap at one end that makes it east to transport and store. A great solution to lighting problems I have struggled with for a while, I recommend this for any DIYer out there; I wish i picked this up sooner. A great accessory to your tool arsenal as the days start to become shorter and projects longer.

                    Ryobi led light good value!
This ryobi led light works great for the value. Wish like most things Ryobi as plastic part but it not a commercial product. For my use it works great. When we are loading wood late night of others or loading a trailer after an event. Very good for personal use or for small farm use.

                      Works well, but...
I have gotten a lot of use out of this RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Hybrid LED Tripod Stand Light during our home building process. My observation is that when folded up and you grab the rope handle, it does not stand on its own and just falls to the floor. I would love to see it stand on its own, especially when I am carrying other items and go to open the door and have to set it down it just falls. Not sure why this detail was missed but it would be a great addition to this product.

                        Wobbly and Unstable
Bought this, put it together, and its very wobbly and unsteady when raised all the way up. Very cheaply made. Ryobi has OK quality for the typical home owner or DYI projects, as I own several Ryobi products. This one I would say is absolute junk and very cheaply made. I would not recommend. I will say the light is pretty bright though, but even the attachment to the light is cheap.
