Best light ever
I just bought this and it definitely my favourite (tool) I’ve gotten so far .. drills and saws are great but it’s the little things like a light that will save you over and over and also great for camping would give 100 stars if I could …. And if helpful to anyone it just happens to fit Absaloutly perfect on the under lip of this shelf as seen in pictures

EXTREMELY BRIGHT !!!
RIDGID 18V Hybrid Panel Light - packs a punch when you need to eliminate the darkness!! It is so bright that I’ve only used the low setting. Easy push button switch. I’m very impressed with the multi-positioning of the panels to throw light in just about every direction. I also like the option of hooking it up to an extension cord when needed. This light far exceeded my expectations and you will not be disappointed. Another win from RIDGID that I highly recommend !!

An Excellent Light!
This is an amazing light! I am super happy with it. It is so bright and has so many features. Its super awesome that it has both the battery feature and plug in; and the fact it takes my normal Rigid batteries is super helpful. Being able to rotate and tilt the side lights is great for directing the light where you want it to go; and being able to adjust the light brightness allows you to save battery life. This light also has the ability to be mounted on a tripod or a nail/screw; so you can put it anywhere, really easily. On top of it all, the light is built very well with good material making me think it will last me a long time. I'm super happy with this light.

Great Step Forward in Area Lighting
RIDGID R8698 Hybrid Light
The R8698 hybrid light system from Ridgid is a great step forward by Ridgid to get a full area lighting system in the field. Most lights will light the area in one direction only. This light not only has a single direction light panel, but the two wing lighting panels can be directed to the sides, overhead or rearward from the primary panels direction. You also get the option of powering the panels from a 110 volt cord or an 18 volt Ridgid battery. Further option is provided by having the built-in light frame stand or the option of being tripod mounted if you need addition height. This systems multidirectional lighting and powering options gives Ridgid full flexibility in today's work place environment.

Great Light. The Gen 1 model was great and they expanded on it.
This is a great light, I will give it 4/5 stars because it lacks the ability to run it on AC and charge the battery at the same time. Other than that not too many complaints. One issue, I would prefer a fuel gauge that you can see at all times, without having to press the battery. When the battery is low , you will know as the light will blink 3x.
The light is bright and you can rotate the side panels , so that you can essentially have 360 lighting, this is a great feature as it adds the ability light an entire area, not just one spot. You can hang it on 2x. I ran the light for several hrs while drywalling and I did not notice that the panels were hot.
Another suggestion, make diffusers for the panels and sell them as accessories. With my Ridgid tripod I have this works great for backyard lighting

Amazingly versatile light panels rotate to direct light to any work or outdoor space

This is a hybrid light, so it can run on an extension cord or any RIDGID 18V battery, and has powerful 3,500 lumens. I really appreciate the freedom of not having a cord, and being able to move the light easily in the work area. The light panels fold in for compact storage. The carrying handle is large enough to grab with gloves on.

Brighter than last year
Big update for this lamp is that it puts out a whopping 3500 lumens. With the side lights that can be aimed in a variety of direction, you can really light up a big space with one lamp. On the bottom of the bracket is a 1/4 inch thread fitting that lets you screw it in to most tripods. You better have a sturdy tripod, because this lamp is heavy. I got 45 minutes of run time on a 2ah battery before it started to blink, and 55 minutes before it shut off. I got 3 hours and 29 minutes on the low setting before it started to blink, and it went out at 3:45.

Versatile, bright, highly directable work light. .
This is a great product.
This portable work light reminds me that 5 star ratings should not be given out like candy. They should be used when a product is unusually useful and well made. This light qualifies!
Let’s talk functionality first: 1. It can be powered by a battery or an extension cord. 2. It can be wall mounted, tripod mounted, hung up with built in hooks (not rafter sized), or placed on the ground. 3. It can swivel and pointed in virtually any direction and the two side lights can also be positioned in many directions separately from the main panel (see some examples in the photos). The main head also has a lock knob to hold it to specific position. 4. It has three power settings, high, medium, and low. If you are running it on a battery presumably the lower power settings will extend running time. I didn’t see run time listed in the manual. 5. It is bright. On the high setting it will put out 3500 lumens which is just bit more than the output of two 100 watt light bulbs.
Good to Know: 1. The light it puts out is fairly broad and diffuse. If you need a bright spotlight to highlight a single area, consider using a flashlight alongside this. 2. This is NOT like some of the small “work lights” sold at hardware stores that would easily fit under a sink for plumbing work. This is larger and is more suitable to lighting up a whole room, working in an unlit basement or attic, or working on a jobsite. Check the dimensions to make sure it is right for you.

Perfect Work Light
I've got an older cordless work light from another manufacturer that I rarely use, as it's heavy, bulky, and hard to position. What I really wanted was a cordless work light that was lightweight, sturdy, stable, and long-running. This cordless work light from Ridgid checks all those boxes. It's very light and folds up nicely for storage and to prevent damage to the LEDs during transport. The base gives good stability on uneven surfaces, and even has a hook built into each foot so the light can be hung in some situations. The light output is a strong 3500 lumens on the highest of the three power settings, and the light color is a bright daylight hue. Battery run time is excellent. I'm very impressed with this worklight and will be ditching my collection of corded lights as they are now obsolete. Thanks, Ridgid, for freeing up some space in my shop cabinets! Highly recommended.

We all know our projects can take longer than planned, and sometimes this means working into the dark hours of the night (or morning). This Rigid 18V Hybrid Panel Light is a must have for keeping your project moving even when darkness falls. First impressions are great, as the light feels sturdy with a durable plastic base and handle up top. The side light panels are rotated inward when the light is in the storage configuration, so its not too unwieldy to handle. Lastly, this light has a mounting hole in the bottom (a 1/4" mounting screw is needed) if you want to use a tripod for jobs at greater heights.
