SWEET LITTLE CHAIN SAW
This is a sweet little chainsaw! Easy assembly because of well written and illustrated instructions. Comes with an 18 V lithium-ion battery that takes just a short time to charge in the provided charger. At six pounds, it is super light weight so trimming branches slightly overhead is no problem. My very favorite thing about this little chainsaw is that it is battery powered and NOT gasoline. I always struggle with pulling that cord to get the gasoline models running. You will need to get chainsaw oil before you can run it. For a small job light weight chainsaw, you can't beat this one. Buy with confidence!

Very impressed!
I was surprised what I was able to cut with this. See pictures. I was also surprised with battery life. Battery lasted through two good sized trees. One in the pics and another after that. I got this to take care of smaller stuff without breaking out my gas chainsaw. Honestly was not expecting much. This chainsaw is pretty small. Came with battery and charger. I have other Ryobi 18v tools so that helped sway me some. Once I started using this saw, I started with just trimming branches off of trunk. Worked good so kept trying bigger and bigger and it just kept cutting and cutting. Didn't try anything bigger than the length of the blade, but that is still pretty big.

Excellent Light Duty Saw
I hate my Blue Max gas powered chainsaw. It's hard to start, it's smelly and noisy and it leaks chain oil badly. To add insult to injury it's only six months old. I've seen a lot of ads for battery powered chainsaws but the reviews have been iffy at best. The major complaint is that they are all underpowered. My guess is that most people that are disappointed with the performance are asking for more than these small saws are designed to give. They are designed for occasional light duty use. I'm a homeowner living on a 2 ½ acre wooded lot. I wanted this saw just to keep my trees trimmed. It's a pleasure to be able to pickup the saw, press the trigger and trim a limb. It's very light, about 6.6 lbs, so it's easy to work overhead. I haven't used it long enough to run down the battery. I cut up a broken limb that fell during a storm. It took about 15 minutes and the power never faded. The 18 volt Lithium-ion battery has charge lights on it to indicate the remaining power. (see #4 below) I won't buy anything that comes with NiCad batteries anymore, lithium-ion is the only way to go, they are far superior. I've read many negative reviews relating to battery operated tools and almost all of them refer to poor battery performance. I think the biggest problem is that users are treating their lithium-ion batteries as they were taught to care for their NiCad batteries. They're two different animals and need to be cared for differently. I found the following use and care tips on the Internet. 1: Keep your batteries at room temperature. That means between 68 and 77 degrees F. The worst thing that can happen to a lithium-ion battery is to have a full charge and be subjected to elevated temperatures. So don't leave your battery in your car if it's hot out. Heat is by far the largest factor when it comes to reducing lithium-ion battery life. 2: Avoid charging a hot battery. Whether from heavy usage or hot storage it's best to allow the battery to cool down before attempting to charge it. I normally try to cycle three batteries during the work day. One in the tool, one cooling down and one on the charger. 3: Allow partial discharges and avoid full ones (usually). We were taught to run our NiCads all the way down before giving them a full charge. With lithium-ions it's better to recharge before the battery is exhausted and partial charges are no problem since these don't have a memory. 4: Avoid completely discharging lithium-ion batteries. It's time to cool down and then recharge them when you detect the battery is providing less than optimal performance. 5: For extended storage, discharge a lithium-ion battery to about 40 - 50 percent and store it in a cool place. Storing a battery in the discharged state can push it to the point where it won't recharge, and storing a battery fully charged can shorten its life. I have many lithium-ion powered tools and other devices and as of yet I haven't been disappointed with battery performance. I attribute this to proper care. The chain oiler is not automatic so every few minutes just press the oiler bulb once. To remove a small tree, 7 inches or less, or to trim a bunch of trees, I believe this is the ideal tool. This saw is perfectly suited for the homeowner or landscaper but if you're going to spend the day in the forest cutting trees for firewood grab your gas chainsaw. The saw arrived fully assembled and ships with one 18 volt battery and the charger but chain oil is not included. I did not received a scabbard for the chain bar although the manual says it is included. Also, what appears to be a chain brake is actually only a carry handle. The limited warranty period is 3 years on the saw for household use and 90 days for commercial use. The limited warranty on the battery is 3 years. NOTE: I gave it 4 stars due to the missing chain bar scabbard. Also, I can't give a rating for the value since this is a pre-release product and I don't know what the selling price will be.

The 10” 18v chainsaw is underpowered. The motor bogs down and you can’t put a lot of pressure or force into it without it bogging. I’ve had it for a few months. Overall not impressed, but it does work for small limbs

I had trouble with this saw when it came to the oil not lubricating the chain. This would cause for me a lot of kick back. I did prime the oil before I'd use the saw but the oil would not coat chain. I used this chainsaw once for about an hour but didn't want to damage the motor so I just stopped using it and returned it. I used it on a small tree with about 2in. Dia.brancnes and smaller.

Lightweight and powerful at the same time!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to cut down a few small tress. I had never used a chainsaw before but watched a few videos and off I went. This saw cut through the trees like butter. Lightweight and powerful at the same time. The saw never bogged down even a little bit. Six trees, 20 minutes. No lie!

Wonderful chainsaw. It arrived fully assembled which was a blessing for a senior citizen. Used it for pruning dead limbs out of cedar trees. The task took a short time - especially compared to the time that would have been required with a hand saw. I'm so glad I found this chainsaw. I have Ryobi One plus drill and impact driver so I now have three batteries available for projects.

The chain fell off the first time we used it, it is very difficult to put it back on. The pros are that it is light weight

Seized up after one use. Used it once for about an hour. Put it in my shed and went on a business trip. Came back to it two weeks later and it was rusted up (partially my fault) and seized. Cleaned and oiled the chain, but it still wont run. Returning it this week

          Barely used
and mid cut it just stopped. No smoke either and the chain still turned by hand. It was as if the battery died but it didn't.

            Great Little Saw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great little saw to add to my tool box. I like it because it uses the same batteries as the rest of my go to tools. It is great for the ATV, small compact and don't have to deal with gas. Quick and easy.

              It's a no from me....
I like the size and ease of the saw but mine would not run more than a few seconds at a time and then it would take a few more seconds to start again. I did more standing around trying to get it going than I did working with cutting extremely small limbs from our tree line. I don't recommend it.

                Light and powerful cordless chainsaw.
Finished a fence and needed to cut the tops off my 5" and 6" posts. It zipped through the post tops leaving smooth, straight cuts. One fully charged 4Ah battery was enough to do 18 or so posts before I felt it started to lose a bit of power on the chain, which seemed reasonable to me. Chain tension is easily adjusted, and the push button chain oiler is very intuitive. With care it should last years, and I'd buy another if I needed to.
