Something wrong with the electronics. Set the trap and after 2 weeks I noticed that the bait was gone and no dead rat. Item returned for a refund.

We have tried many ways of getting rid of rats and this is the best solution ever! It is so easy to use and if a rat is killed it is very easy to dispose of sanitarily without touching. Well worth the money.

Does exactly what it was designed to do. Very happy with trap.

Best trap we’ve used. Humane, clean and easy to use. Only wish they’d develop an outdoor version so I could keep the pack rats away from an area near my pool.

Did not trap any Regular wooden traps were more effective

Took about a week but it worked well.

I used a Rat Zapper for about 2 years but it finally failed. I know I used it dozens of times to get rid of the ground squirrels that try to destroy my garden and landscape. I hope this new one (exact same model) lasts longer, but $30 for 2 years of heavy use is OK with me.

Didn’t catch one rat, (six were poisoned), but zapped a lizard!

Decent enough design. Put peanut butter in it and a large standard trap - side by side - and the rat went for the old-style trap. Maybe it was an old rat, and didn’t understand the new technology... Saw Costco now sells a wi-if version (at about the same price) of this trap that notifies when trap has been activated. Wish I would have waited...

Did not work at all. Did not solve the problem.

Easy to use, a very clean and effective way to kill rats. Victor, as usual, has taken some manufacturing short cuts with the product: the battery compartment cover is hard to open, and the blinking kill indicator LED is too dim and hard to see. But when it comes to killing rats this thing works great.

The electrical system is exposed within the rat trap. This rat trap did attract a rat but the rat was able to eat through the wiring while it was being electrocuted. Rat escaped -- system is busted. Company does not stand behind their product design! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The RAT ZAPPER...has been excellent. I have been battling these mice all summer as I have been doing some remodel work and in they came. The old fashion mouse trap worked okay, but at times they were able to steal the peanut butter bait without setting off the trap. Also it doesn't take long before the old fashioned ones are too gross to keep using. Now I just carry the Zapper out to the garbage can and dump them in. I have been getting about 1 mouse a day...so far I believe the count is 16. If I was around to reset more often the number would probably be even higher. THANKS Rat Zapper!

Waste of money. Whatever charge a set of tiny AA batteries can produce is enough to tickle a rodent, but for whatever reason a serious 10000V charge isn't done. Rats just walked in, picked up the bait, walked out.

had it out side for almost a month caught nothing instead baby rat or mouse ran in my house instead and i had it right by my door

These traps seem to work well. The clean up is simple and fast. I use mine outside around my shed even though indoor use is recommended. I am using mine for mice near the bird feeder.

Easy to use. Just bait it, ug it in or use batteries and goodbye mice or chipmunks

Worked like a dream, eliminating our pests.

Works great! We have captured quite a few rodents successfully.

Definitely kills rats, but the light indicator hasn't worked at all, so I have to bend down to peak inside the chamber every time.

I have had these for many years , but in the last year or so quality of the rat zapper and electronic mouse traps by Victor Pest are garbage. They work for a week or so then stop working. I have gotten replacements due to the warranty and they do the same. Save your money!

I found that the noise the trap makes seems to scare them not trap them. Save yourself $$ and just buy the old school wooden rat trap

NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Very expensive rat trap that did not kill either the roof rats nor the ground rats that are living under a tree out in the front yard. Different baits must have been delicious because they ate the without getting zapped.
