Nice, well engineered, fast and precise assembly. Replaced 10 yr old unit with this mantle style,...couldn't be happier. quiet fan, nice features, worth the relatively higher price, as it counts as well made furniture. Don't rely on it to heat a larger room by itself, as it is really intended for ambiance,...but it'll do okay if augmenting your home heating system, and does keep the chill out. Thumbs up on Real Flame

The quality and visual appearance of this fireplace is second to none! I ordered this piece as a focal point to a newly remodeled sunroom. I was really concerned with how the "fire" and logs would look and spent a great amount of time looking at reviews for every fireplace I could find. I wanted to avoid something that appeared cheap, and I couldn't be happier with the Real Flame Chateau!
The logs/flames appear truly natural, and the piece as a whole has a crisp, sophisticated look which was perfect for my 8x17 room. Although I don't use the heating portion on a regular basis, it does offer a quick warm up to the area when needed, isn't noisy, and again is perfect for the space I selected it for.
I assembled the product myself quickly and without any difficulty. I purchased this one year ago and therefore feel confident in writing this review and recommending to others.

The look and quality is absolutely what I expected and wanted. It does not warm the room, as I had hoped, even in the milder weather here in Minnesota. Besides that it looks perfect in my living room and I am very happy with my purchase.

Very classy fireplace
I just purchased this electric fireplace on line from Home Depot. The unit was delivered to the store in a very timely manner and the packaging was very secure and undamaged.
I am extremely satisfied with the looks and quality of this particular fireplace. The dark walnut finish is just beautiful. I completely assembled it in about an hour.
The heating unit has a realistic flame with five different lighting options. We love the classy and rich appearance of this mantel and fireplace.

I liked it in general very beautiful fire place and flame is very natural. Little bit small and low for my living room. Assembled in one and half hour (1 person) Not making noise except when heating, but not a big deal. Absolutely gorgeous flame, real flame. I Suggest to turn on air filter by this product or open windows, cause product has WARNING PROP 65.

Dark brown ,great color, looks great. Easy to put together and looks and feel solid piece of furniture ...very please with wood and pieces were engineered to fit tightly together so that top fits close to the wall. Easy to assemble..few pieces , and works great.. highly recommend if you have the real thing.

Love my Real Flame fireplace! Was very easy to put together. Did need a power drill to insert the furnace into the fireplace frame. Any negative reviews I’ve read does not match my experience. As for the quality, I knew I was not buying a fireplace from an old New England mansion. The flames look realistic. The fireplace frame is nice and pleasing to look at. I don’t plan to use the heater, just wanted the ambiance of a fireplace in my bedroom and it works perfectly for that need.

Good quality
It was very easy to put together. The flame looks real. The only negative for us. Was that you see the heat bar I wish that could’ve been covered. Otherwise, it looks like a real fireplace.

The fireplace is very solid and handsome. With that said, there's only one screw attaching the mantle to the rest of the fireplace, bad design. You need your own tools to properly secure it to the remainder of the item. The company needs to redesign it and the directions for putting it together.

This fireplace is beautiful and puts out quite a bit of heat. The only negative is that led lights appear on the screen when the heat is on and that distracts from the beauty of this fireplace. Otherwise I am very happy with this purchase.
