My home floors went from dull and dingy to beautiful and shiny.

Just what I was looking for to refresh old bathroom floor that would not look clean no matter what I did. Very little odor. One coat coverage. I put 2 coats of the topcoat as added protection. Being my only bathroom, not walking on it for 12 hours was going to be an issue but it was dry to the touch within an hour and I was able to walk on it with socks without messing up what I'd done.

I am very disappointed in this two-step tile paint process. I spent $150 on three cans of paint - 1 can of step 1, and 2 cans of step 2, as you must do both. I just purchased this paint less than three months ago. I cleaned the surface of all my tile very thoroughly, waited the necessary wait time, and made sure to apply my second coat well within the recommended time. I followed all steps to an absolute "T" without fail. I even used two coats of the step 2 paint (clear acrylic) to make sure it would be properly coated for maximum protection. Yet, the paint has chipped in multiple spots, as you can see from my pictures. I would like a refund.

I used this product on three floors. It came out a lot better than I expected and I am well pleased. I only had to use one coat and it dried nice and even. I was so pleased that I did my 2 bathrooms and they came out perfect as well. My only complaint is that the colors are not true colors. I used Oyster Shell because some on here said that it would turn out beige with hints of grey. However, it turned out Grey which washed out the cabinets as they were grey. I am still extremely happy with the look of the floors. The photos that you see are the same floor and the same color (Oyster Shell).

I really wanted to love this, and I did for the first few months. My tile and grout looked old and was difficult to keep clean. I scrubbed everything down really well more then once, even used a magic eraser on the whole thing to be sure all the debris was off. I think for the prep work I did well as I have had zero peeling in any of my rooms. Anyway, I am about 6 months in .. I have 3 dogs and 2 kids. I painted a bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, main hallways.. Almost my whole house minus the bedrooms and 2 other bathrooms. I used a lighter grey and there are spots where the paint has scuffed black and I can't get it up. I tried a magic eraser but that took the top coat off. It also scratches very easily. I dremel my dogs' nails so you cant hear them click when they walk -- but there are still scratches all over the place. I love the idea of this paint and it looked beautiful -- but it just doesn't hold up on durability. Really disappointed.

We used a darker color in a small guest bathroom about 5 months. It seemed to be ok so we decided to use it in our kitchen and living room over our ugly pink and purple tile. What a mistake! I scrubbed the grout, prepped exactly as it says to, exactly as I had before (clean, scrub, clean, paint, etc). The paint took 2 coats due to a light color (color swatch was NOT accurate), but it’s only been a week and a half and I have found multiple areas where the paint has peeled off or scratched easily. I even used 2 coats of top coat due to us having dogs and high traffic. I’ve had to touch up 4x in 2 weeks. Also, the top coat has this weird yellow dirty tinge to it that it didn’t have in our bathroom. Now my floor just looks like it’s dingy dirty all the time and I can actually point out spots where the top coat is noticeable darker (like under the soft rug we laid down to protect it). I couldn’t figure out why it worked in the bathroom and not here. Well, I went into my bathroom and got down on the floor and sure enough it’s starting to get dots of areas where the paint is almost fading away. I’m so disappointed. I waited and laid multiple rugs out to protect the floor as well, but now I’m stuck with a large living area that clearly won’t last and we’ll eventually have to replace entirely because this floor is clearly not sustainable in houses that are actually lived in.

I read all the reviews here as well as multiple blog posts of how awesome this paint is as a quick fix to a gloomy bathroom. So I got it, followed all the directions exactly and the first day we started using the bathroom again after the curing period we found a piece that ripped off. Since then, I have found multiple areas where the paint has peeled up and I don’t understand how! The floor has been painted for a month and the moment it cured I put a non slip bath rug down which covered the majority of the floor and all the affected areas. I wasted time and money doing this and now have an ugly ripped up bathroom floor.

This product works great. They first can was the base/color and the second one is the finish. I painted 50 year old tile on the walls of my bathroom and it was a huge transformation. The only thing that I would change would be my choice of colors. The gray I chose was lighter than the picture.

I was worried. How could painting the tile be a solution? But, so far so very good. Just follow the directions and it is golden. I did put the sealer on several times instead of the recommended amount. After 1 month of painting it is looking great and no pealing (I would certainly hope not so soon after) and I am loving the new look.

I love the outcome of this product!!! It came out how I wanted and super affordable.

(Rust-Oleum floor/tile paint) Worked so well on our floor tile in our kitchen and bathroom, we decided to chance it on a Formica bar top and wet bar. (Going to possibly replace it down the road anyways so worth a try for a temporary update) This product is amazing! Easy to apply and great coverage! The ONLY thing I recommend is to view color before the can is sealed. These colors all come out VERY light so with 2 or the 3 colors I have used for projects, I have had the paint tech add a 2nd dose of the whole color formula to the base coat. Turned out perfect each time, even the paint tech agreed it matched the swatch better after the 2nd dose of the color formula was added.

I had a gas fireplace that I had painted before and wanted to have the entry door landing tiles match. I was very pleased with the results I got from this product. I ended up going back over the fireplace paint with this because the finish looked so consistent. I will be curious to see how it holds up over time, but I am quite pleased now. The only issue I had was that the tinted base can had a very thick coagulation on the bottom that would not mix. I used this about three and half weeks after I received it in the mail premixed, so that no doubt had an impact on this. However, it does not appear to have had an adverse effect. The finish coat is much more of a water like sealer, commonly how concrete sealer behaves. I was surprised but after it dried, I was more surprised with the great results.

“Dark grey” Color looks like concrete. Not dark at all. I’m not sure if it was a mistake but it is almost purple gray in person. Would not recommend this color unless using on a garage floor, which this brand has a separate more specific product for. Quality seems well though so I will be trying again and buying a matte black or a white shade instead. The dark gray color was just awful and purple gray though.

I purchased the “Greige” to do my very old pink bathroom tile. I will say it is more beige than gray and is lighter than I’d like but it looks so much better! This was very easy to apply. I used the cleaner provided to scrub the floor and a toothbrush to get into some crevices. I wiped the floor with the clean cloth and did the first coat. My floor did require 2 coats. I would recommend sweeping with a very clean broom before every coat. I let it try for 6 hours and went back for the top coat. I used a lot less of this than I did coat 1 because it’s a lot more watery. It looks great and so far so good! FYI Online it says that my HD does not have any in stock so I had it shipped home and waited 2 weeks for it. Well they DO have it in store and also carry it by the gallon so you don’t have to use the kit. I already purchased more for a different room!

Used it on the stairs! Love it we will see how it holds up.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this stuff is awesome. I used it for my parents kitchen floor. My dad is a chef and their kitchen floor gets hammered. It’s been there for a couple months now and not a single scratch or chip to be seen. The other day I watched a butter knife fall on it and nothing happened. Highly recommend!

After the first coat I could tell where some paint had dried, however, after the second coat I couldn’t tell. It does chip really easy before you put the sealer on, I wish I would have done this sooner and plan on doing a bathroom. I don’t expect this to last years, just until we replace flooring. I used Charcoal Gray

My old floor tile in my bathroom was gray with dirty looking grout. I wanted to replace my tile but didn’t want to pay a contractor to remove the tile, and install new tile. I was extremely impressed with how durable this paint is. I purchased one kit of the semi gloss white, to paint the entire floor. I then bought one kit of the matte black. I used a stencil to make a Spanish tile, design look.

Take notice that these are quart sized cans, although the directions list coverage for a gallon. Porous linoleum, especially with a lot of seam cracks, will absorb more paint. For the final clear top coat, a 1/4" nap roller still left small bubbles. Be sure to stir that can, not shake it. Also, slow. light roller movements and minimal rolling in the pan will help keep air bubbles out. I painted the floor 2 days ago, so I cannot attest to durability. However, the navy floor with the white cabinets and soft yellow walls looks great. A major improvement!

So far so good, I have no idea how long lasting this is. So it’s sorta a science project. But I put the primer on then stenciled then 2 coats of the top coat. I did my kitchen breakfast room and 3 hallways, a lot of work but well worth it. For anyone working with these products should wear socks and not shoes.

It was nice to have the kit to complete my floor painting project. I like how it turned out.

Easy use and love the outcome.

I was leery at first because I needed to correct the look of my existing tile floors. Tiles were fine but the grout was terrible and could not be fixed. While at Home Depot and asked if you knew of a solution to my floors. It was on his familiarity with the Rust-Oleum product. Wow !! The whole process for changing the look and color of my tile. Yes !! I would & will recommend this Rust-Oleum product.

Totally worth it! Takes so dedication and time with the 2 step process but worth the wait. I painted old 80s tile in my entry ways and they look amazing!! Much more cost effective then replacing the floor. Highly recommend
