This paint leaked all over. Thank goodness I had the foresight to wear gloves. what didn't leak (in sputters and drips) performed well but I just can't get past the mess it made.

Used it on older exterior house lights & lanterns. After wire brushing the lights to remove any loose paint or dirt, I applied 2 light coats & they look brand new. The texture hides any imperfections large or small. Quite a bit of coverage per can. Slight gray look to the black. Highly Recommend!!

This is the worst experience I've had with spray paint of any kind. It dripped the entire time. I ruined clothes and shoes. Do not purchase this product. I shook the can and sprayed but to no avail.

Love the product, but a bit of a color problem. I bought this to paint the body of a guitar I found leaning against a dumpster. After surface prep, I first tried the normal Rustoleum black spray. Well, all the defects 'telegraphed' through the paint and it looked like i was going to be spending a LOT of time if I went that route. So, I bought the Hammered BLACK. Went on well, covered the defects. KEEP MOVING and do not start the spray when you're pointing at the object. Start it in air, the sweep. Yes - I have a couple of runs to clean up. I applied three thin coats 30 minutes apart. Look at the image, I'd call the final color more of a grey than a black. Oh well, I'm not going to worry about it.

Did a diy projects for the wife. She had a shadow box frame and wanted to turn it into a nail polish shelf. So I added some 1x2 shelf into the shadow box and painted them with this. Was easy to apply, dries fast and the hammered look is definitely unique

I wouldn't say the finish looks "Hammered" as much as it looks textured. There is a bit of silver paint in it, which added depth. I used it on a cherry wood dresser. In some spots, it is shiny and in others, it's dull with streaks of silver. Very unique.

It doesn't spray in a nice even flow like regular spray paint..and then half way through, it wouldn't spray at all. I know how to spray paint and this was awful. My piece that I sprayed is not even at all. It's a good thing it was for outdoors.

This paint is unique and easy to use. The paint Hs a quality where it will self correct and fill voids and NOT RUN. I used it on kitchen cabinet handles and it looks great but you must seal it with two or more coats of clear coat. The paint is soft when cured. I put it on a set of rims on a car too and it looks great ! Just clear coat it !

Excellent for cast aluminum patio sets. Attached is a picture of both before (right) and after (left). It was amazing how great the patio set came out the first time ever using this spray paint and primer. The patio company did really support their product and this spray paint and primer really made my patio set look brand new.

Product coverage was superb as compared to other Rustoleum sprays I have used. One coat covered very well and hammered look was as s how shown on the can cover. GREAT PRODUCT!

I restored my exterior coach lamps and post lamps. The color is not dark brown. It is much lighter than the cap on the can. Otherwise, my lamps look great.

I had an old kitchen chair with the flip out steps to re-do. It was old and had layers of rust. I brushed on a good coat of Kilz High Adhesion, let it dry for a couple of days and then sprayed on Rust-Oleum Universal Forged Hammered Antique Pewter Spray Paint. It went on so easy. The trigger button was easy to press and it had a nice wide spray. I can probably get the project done in one coat, but will apply 2, for good measure. The antique pewter is better than expected. It is more of a metallic charcoal color. I really didn't want anything too bright. The hammered texture helps minimize the surface imperfections. I love the way my kitchen step stool came out.

This product is awesome and can give your items a fresh, unique look on a budget. I used it on the plastic switch and plug covers I had, on a old metal and wood ceiling fan, and am currently doing my porcelain soap dishes, and towel racks in my bathroom.

Product went on easily and evenly, but dried to a coarse crusty finish. Looked more like caked on dirt than paint.

Rust-Oleum did a great job upgrading the paint nozzles on their higher end spray paints. The spray pattern is much more predictable and leaves an even coat. I didnt have any problems with runs or overspray at all. The finish really looked nice ane made my project look great. I wanted the wooden legs to look like metal, and that is what I got.

We painted outdoor wall lights that were badly weather worn over the past 16 years. We also paired an outdoor metal wall decoration. The lights and wall hanging look like new! Using Rust-Oleum was great and a lot less expensive than buying new. Love it!

Easy to apply. Looked as I expected. Dried quickly - even in exceptionally humid conditions. Covered the antique door plate nicely without obscuring the details of the design.

I build shelves for the kitchen using gas piping, and this spray paint provided the perfect finish. The hammer texture is not overly obvious on the piping, but the overall result was fantastic. Application was easy and fast, and the paint set up in short time. Very pleased with the final product.

Easy to use. Covered the shelving units and the dryer duct easily and in one coat. The Shelving units needed more than one can though because of all the openness. I loved the pull trigger on this can. When the can gets close to empty, using it at any angle other than straight up does not work. other than that, i loved being to angle my hand to get to the hard spots.

We were pleasantly surprised how nixe iur bistro table and chairs turned out with the spray. Very classy looking and durable. Painted with Rust-Oleum five years ago.

Turned a weathered outdoor lantern , actually 4 in all, into better than new condition! Easy prep and use. Highly recommend it.

Coverage was great. I was painting a steel mailbox from white to black. Would of gave it 5 stars but the Spray paint can did "spit" a few times when I applied some coats and left those marks on the mailbox. Made for some extra coats. But still came out good.

Painted outdoor chair set and was very pleased with the results. Paint was sprayed over old powder coat as well as bare metal with little prep and finish turned out great. Would definitely use this product again.
