temperature issues since day 1. dramatic fluctuation with heat consistently. enamel started flaking off the bottom after 8 months of use, am i told it is cosmetic, but particles fly around when cooking and can get into food. nothing has been put on the surface to cause and damage. disappointing experience.

Best stove I’ve ever owned. Looks high end and has a lot of great features. Its almost been a year and no issues. I love having the controls on the front, makes the whole design cleaner. Would definitelt recommend!

Samsung 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Single Oven Gas Slide-In Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven in Stainless Steel, Fingerprint Resistant with black porcelain cook-top and continuous spark ignition was delivered on time and without any defects. My husband installed this range by himself without much trouble. It has a large area in the back to accommodate for the gas line and electric plug. We purchased all new appliances and the quality of this Samsung range supersedes any of the Whirlpool products we just bought. We have had this range for 6 weeks and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The range fits our 25 inch counter top depth without sticking out too much. The 5 burners are powerful and make cooking fun. Both front burners are quick to boil water and will even produce a very low flame on low. The center and back burners are perfect for light cooking and simmering. The front right flame level can get pretty high (it has the potential to burn your shirt and/or chest hairs) but can be easily adjusted by reading the instructions. I do wish that the grates extended to the edge of the cook top. When cooking with large pots, like for canning, my pots hung over the grate. For some reason, our front right grate is slightly uneven and lighter pots and pans wobble when stirring. The griddle is non-stick and is a great addition. It fits on top of the center grate. I prefer the round center burner, as apposed to the oval burner, so that I can use it to simmer soups. The knobs for controlling the cook top area are made of Die-Cast and NOT plastic. The control panel is easy to use with the glass-touch screen. I love having the Cooking Time button for baking and a separate Timer On/Off button. The oven bakes evenly and is the perfect in size with 7 rack positions. This oven does bakes a little slower than my previous electric oven and I have adjusted by adding a few minutes to the cook time. The Slow Cook and Keep Warm are great features. You can bake two batches of cookies at the same time using the Convection Bake. This speeds up the process and you do not have to run the oven as long. Awesome! The bottom drawer slides easily and is really better quality than most other brands. Overall, this range is the best I have ever owned!

I have only owned this range for 2 months but so far I really like it. The burners really put out a lot of heat so you need to be careful until you get used to it. The BTU output are way higher than my old range which is definitely a plus when cooking. I love that it has 5 burners and comes with a griddle. I have used the griddle several times and it is very non stick. Stores easily in the bottom drawer when not in use. You can make all kinds of things on it. I have a convection oven which was on my list of must haves as I am a baker and a convection oven comes in handy for someone who does a lot of baking. I also like the fact that there are only 2 oven racks. The previous range I owned had 3 oven racks and I never used the third one so it was always in the way. The oven preheats very quickly and the range door is heavy duty and seems to be made very well. The range is designed well and is fairly easy to clean. All in all so far I am very satisfied with my Samsung range. The only small complaint that I have is that I wish the timer on the oven was a little louder so you could hear it better if you were in a different room. But that is my only small complaint. My sister ended up buying the freestanding one like it a month after I bought mine. Great range at a reasonable price.

Beautiful appliance in my kitchen. Burners are very strong and heat food quickly. The middle griddle has been a delight to cook pancakes on on weekend mornings. The oven is not as strong as my previous Kitchenaid range, but I've adjusted my baking to add on a few more minutes. Otherwise, no complaints here.

Just got this oven and have only had it for 3 days and am totally in love with it! It has 5 burners of different sizes and it also came equipped with a cook top plate to put over the center burner which is going to be great for cooking pancakes in the mornings. The oven is HUGE! I am able to put  4 full size cookie sheets and with it being convection the cookies cooked faster and more evenly. If you download the Samsung “Smart Things” app on your smart phone you can even control the oven via your phone. The range has a beautiful brushed stainless steel finish and the top has a black stainless steel finish. The oven comes with the option to convert to propane (LP) gas. I think Samsung has really stepped up their game on this guy, for sure highly recommended.

Beautiful range! Just got it installed the other day and we love it. We just remodeled our kitchen last year and upgraded our other appliances but our stove was still good so we kept it, it started giving us problems recently so we decided to upgrade it to Samsung to match the rest of our kitchen. The burners work great, light up quickly and provide a nice even flame. There are 5 total, 2 high output, 1 simmer burner and 2 medium sized burners, one of which is the center burner. The oven controls are as easy as selecting the cook mode (bake, broil, etc) with or without convection and setting the temp. Preheats quickly, telling you the current temp throughout the process, and notifies you with a chime when ready. Haven’t done a lot of baking in it yet but what I have done has come out perfect so far, no complaints. The range looks high end but if I have one complaint, I think at this price point, it should have a stainless cooktop and an oval center burner, but that’s just my opinion and it doesn’t detract from my overall satisfaction. Another odd feature is that the oven light is an actual knob, the same as the burners. I see that they probably did this for aesthetics since it balances out the front panel with 3 knobs on either side of the display. The light does go on automatically when you open the door which is a great touch. All in all, I am very happy with is product. One thing I was not happy about was the installation. HD used a 3rd party delivery company that neglected to use thread sealant on the connection going into the back of the range resulting in a gas leak. My wife was home alone and smelled gas, she had to have Public Service come out and check it out, they found the leak in the connection and shut off the gas until I could have it fixed. Luckily it was just a matter of disconnecting it and putting some thread sealant on but if neglected long enough could’ve caused a serious problem.

This is a really nice stove. The gas has really heavy and sturdy grated and cleans really easily. The stove has a ton of options including dehydration and slow cooking. I used the dehydrator last night for the first time and it worked great. The app works nicely and you are not tied to the kitchen. All you need is your phone and you can be notified when the oven is preheated and when your food is done. This is great!

This Samsung 30 in single oven gas slide in range is a very nice range with controls on the front panel. We opened it up and inspected it and it's great got the instructions out and looked them over. We are going to hook it up to use it for gas, we have an electric one and we are switching them out within the month or two. We can't wait to install it and start using it.

terrible quality. i've owned it less than 2 years. all of the nobs are broken, light stays on permanently. now day before christmas eve the ignitor is broke.

Samsung 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Single Oven Gas Slide-In Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven in Stainless Steel, Silver This Samsung gas range is about as attractive as a range can get and everything about it has proven to be highly functional as well as high end. First let me address the propane conversion issue, as some community comments state that conversion is not possible, and this is incorrect. See the first photo attached, as that is the propane conversion kit shipped with the stove. Instructions for the propane conversion are included with the kit, as well as stove owner/operating and cooking instruction booklets (see second photo). Two design features we really appreciated are the stove-top side overhangs (see third photo) that overhang our adjacent counter tops to keep debris from falling between the stove top and the kitchen cabinets; and the rear overhang that you attach to the rear of the stove top if desired (see forth photo) to fill in the gap between the rear of the stove necessary for the gas supply line (also supplied as a kit with the stove. (See last photo). The stove’s side overhangs were 35 ¾ inches from the floor and our counter tops were 35 5/8 inches from the floor, so the fit was perfect. (Note that the leveling leg adjustments can increase the stove height.) The stove was protected well in its shipping box, and all the corner and edge surfaces protected by easy to remove tape like plastic coverings. The oven’s convection fan feature makes for fasted and better roasting and I think helps make chicken and pork more tasty, juicy and tender. The accessory skillet that replaces the stove-top’s center grate has been found great for Sunday morning breakfasts of bacon, eggs and hash-browns, all at the same time.

Installation was easy and straightforward. A very nice feature is that the oven has a small lip at the top that slightly overlaps the counters on either side, so no gap is left between the counter and the oven surface. The feet of the oven are to be adjusted so that the lip is just a bit higher than the counters. Adjusting the height is easy and the legs can be turned by hand if someone else takes the weight of the oven off the foot being adjusted. The over comes with jet set up for natural gas and a set of Liquid Propane jets are also included. There is a special trim piece that goes on the back to reduce the gap between the rear of the oven and the wall. The vents are at the rear edge and a cast grid sits over them vents to prevent them getting blocked. The range has 4 put burners plus a central burner and a nice griddle is supplied that fits on the central burner when desired. The finnish is smooth and looks lovely. The control panel at the front has a nice bright display. When using the oven it indicates which burners are being used (top and bottom). There are 6 knobs on the front, five are for the range burners and the 6th is for the oven light. It seems weird to have a big knob for just switching the light, but clearly it was done to keep the controls symmetrical with three knobs on either side of the electronic control panel. The burner control knobs are vertical when off, which one would think would provide a nice visual check that all the burners are switched off, but, when a burner is set to medium, it is also vertical! (See picture.) The indicator on each knob is a small red line on the side, so I think it would have been much better to have a very visible indicator of what the knob is set to from a safety and usability point of view. (This is the only negative we have found.) The burner that each knob corresponds to is clearly marked. In addition to baking, baking (with convection), roasting (with convection) and broiling, there are also slow cook, dehydration, a bread dough proving, and keep warm modes! The oven burners are ignited by means of a glow bar, and the range burners are of course ignated with a spark generator. You can set the oven to any temperature from 175 °F to 550 °F when baking and roasting and 100 °F to 175 °F for dehydration mode. Now it gets even better, using an app, one can control the oven from your phone, but one does have to press the Smart Control button on the oven once cooking has started. So once the oven is started you can alter the cooking time, temperature and also turn the cooking off. It works, but I am not sure how much itility the remote control brings, usually one wants to look inside or test a cake... As expected, the oven has a delay start feature and three self cleaning options. One can also configure the sounds, calibrate the temperature and have it convert non-convection temperatures to convection temperatures, etc. Two oven racks are provided. The door and storage drawer can both be removed for cleaning. The storage drawer glides smoothly on nice runners. In all, a wonderful oven and range, packed with features and it looks great!

Love this stove! We have several other Samsung appliances that have been very reliable so we're looking forward to using this one for a long time! The style is great, love the built in look, but you must measure carefully to be sure this stove will fit between the counters, otherwise you'll need to use a spacer. The features are great! Convection cooking cuts the time nearly in half! Great look, great functionality. The self cleaning feature is a great benefit also! Because it's gas, it's best to have a professional install.

O.k., here we go. We tried every function on our Samsung 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Single Oven Slide-In Gas Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven in Black Stainless Steel, Fingerprint Resistant so this is a long review. Will say right off the bat we are thrilled. Especially the in-house chef. This is our second Samsung black stainless fingerprint resistant appliance and we find they resist fingerprints and are easier to clean than our previous brands. The range arrived in perfect condition and was easy to install since we had an existing gas line. Make sure to check and see if your area has a gas certification requirement for new appliance installs. Even with an existing gas line some areas require it for Home Depot to install. The gas line kit includes the needed sealer and leak test (see photo). Since this is suppose to look like a built-in you need to measure well. It is a snug fit. We had to use the "gap-filler" in the back of our range as our cabinets are a little deeper than the standard. We still have some room back there, but it is o.k. It was easy to install with three screws and looks good. We think this is a sleek range. Especially with the over the counter edges that make it look like a built-in. Bonus, no more food between the cabinets and the range! The viewing window is smaller than our previous, but we like it because it is less to look dirty and we can still see perfectly (see photo). We also noticed the window is wrapped in metal so we need not worry about the fraying our last oven showed in about 2 years. It looked like cat hair through the glass. We like this is a traditional self-cleaner. Our previous one had a fancy steam cleaning system that did not work very well for us. (Thankfully we have not had a reason to use the self-cleaner.) The top cleans easy if you do not let it set. (A tough lesson learned from previous porcelain stove.) You do have to move the grates out of the way. Our previous range had grates on hinges, but they collected grease making it hard to clean. We prefer moving the grates. One interesting feature is there is a knob on the front that turns the oven light on and off. It balances out the look and we like it better than a button. Honestly, it is easy to forget you have the light on and seeing that knob turned is a visual that helps. The storage drawer is not super deep, but you can fit a few sheet pans or a few casserole dishes if they are not super deep. We lost some space there and had to rearrange our storage. As for cooking it is top notch. The in-house chef feels like she is in a professional kitchen. The grates sit up high for more heat coverage. It boils faster than our previous range and is far superior overall. Using the burners on low is actually really low. Some gas ranges have a hard time finding a low flame. But high is also very high! There may have been some scorched meatballs; she and the range are still working out their groove. Of note the flame level is adjustable if needed and there are instructions. There is a large work surface allowing plenty of area on the top to have five pots. We also prefer the circular center burner. Our previous range had the oval center burner and it was only useful when using a griddle. The oval allows us to have another pot on the stove; yes, it is used! The included griddle works great and fits three good size sandwiches comfortably (see photo). It is also very easy to clean. It locks in place on the stove; which we appreciate. It heats evenly on the ends with a hot spot in the center as you would expect of any griddle; even our oval one did that. There is also space to use it and pots easily. We were surprised the oven vent fan runs while the oven is on and stays on for a bit afterwards. This is not an exhaust fan that sucks smoke down into it so you still need your overhead. Also while it is on the back burners will have some flame movement that you need to watch and adjust. The oven features are awesome. We have used all the special settings. Regular heating took 11 min to get to 475 on bake. Seems fast to us, but we could be suffering from the early stages of obsession. Used the slow cook function on a ham and it came out beautiful. The proofing also worked great. The dough double in size in two hours; as expected for this particular dough (see photo). We used the dehydrator on bread crumbs and it worked like a charm. No complaints at all. Finally, the wifi and app. They linked up super easy. We already had the SmartThings app and adding the range was a breeze. We have it on an older Samsung Galaxy 6S and we can control the oven without any problems. Monitoring the temp is simultaneous and when we send instructions the range response is instantaneous. No delay at all. You do have to hit start when you want the oven to come on, but you can turn it off on your app. Obviously turning a burner on and off is not possible with gas, but seeing it is on is a huge safety feature. Our expectations were surpassed with the Samsung 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Single Oven Slide-In Gas Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven. It is pricey, but this is a clear case of you get what you pay for…worth it! Looking forward to hopefully adding the overhead vent, fridge and microwave to our Samsung collection.

A Beautiful oven for sure , the 5 burners are great I like the fact that it comes with a center plate for cooking a quick burger or grilled cheese , the knobs are great quality clearly marked and comes with a light for the interior oven . The glass is a very nice size . The digital display is conveniently placed in front so no reaching over your burners to adjust .has a clock display in front with easy to navigate controls bake,broil, timer . Very nice . Now mom wants to replace the other appliances with Samsung .

The Samsung 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Single Oven Slide-In Gas Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven in Black Stainless Steel, Fingerprint Resistant is really well made stove with all the features that you want in a midgrade stove, It is very easy to install and leveling the feet very simple just measure your cabinets in four locations and adjust the feet to the same measurement cause it does have a lip around it. The stove comes with a bracket for the back and a no tip bracket also. MY wife loves it and especially likes the controls in the front so you don't have to reach over the burners if you are already cooking on the stove top and get burned. I can touch the stainless and no fingerprints that is really nice but keep in mind that if your hands are full of grease it will show but cleaning it is so easy just wipe and its gone. I have had a few stoves over the years and not any cheap ones either this is by far the best yet, I definitely recommend this one.

This is a beautiful Range/Oven. About 10yrs ago I almost purchased a Samsung Induction Range when it had a cobalt blue interior, but the sales person suggested it was too new of technology. Since that day I've always regretted not getting my Samsung with the pretty blue interior. Flash forward and I'm getting my blue interior (actually a little darker now than it used to be) but I was still struck by the color in the store when I saw it this time. But not only is the oven a beautiful blue, but the grate on the top has looks like the grate on a professional range and it has a griddle. I've always wanted a pancake/searing griddle, but when I bought one (several) separately it never worked like the flat iron grill in the restaurants I've worked in. The griddle on the top of this range (it is removable, can be place on any position (up/down) on the top of the range) it is quite heavy and it stays put and heats evenly. But the center has equal size burners under the front and rear (to the right and left the burner in front is larger then the one in the back). Is it's so stable, it feels like it's built in, yet it's removable if you need more burners on the top (don't know I've ever needed more than 4 burners, at home). The heavy cast iron rails are a little higher than those on cheaper (less professional) ranges, this allows the flames to spread wider and it heats more evenly. The eveness of heating pots/pans and the highly adjustable heavy knobs makes this feel truly like a professional range (without the +5K price tag). My wife and I considered breaking the budget with a very expensive range, this was our compromise (and I got my blue oven). Now that I have it I'm sure we made the right decision. I love the way the heavy knobs turn, they feel expensive, but look good, not a silly different color (like red - wink) and besides, the stainless steel knobs will clean easier. The oven is spacious (5.8 cu ft) with two stainless racks, I've have liked a third rack, and would prefer porcelain coated racks. But the racks are very easy to move (2" adjustability pretty standard) but this is fine, I've had adjustable racks and they were harder to keep clean. This is the third convection oven I've owned, a feature I'll never be without again. Cooks faster and more evenly. The convection can be used on either bake or roast (upper or lower heating element). It also has slow cook (~200 degrees), a bread proof (~90 degrees) and dehydrate setting (~130 with fan on). These easy setting help the amature cook select the proper temps. The bottom of the oven can be used as a warming area (I'll always keep pans under there, but so you know it's there. With the timer you can delay the start of the cooking as well as control the cooking time. I measured the temperature of the oven and it stayed within 5 degrees of the temperature set, maybe a little less with convection on. Just two things that would really improve this for me, one you have to think about. First I wish there was a "sucking fan" behind the range, what looks vent gradings behind the stove area, does nothing. Second if you put this where you previously had a range that had knobs in the back you may have to extend your back splash area; I noticed this in the store, it gives a bigger range surface, but you'll need to figure how it will fit into your kitchen. Where I installed it I have a butcher block, counter/back splash; I plan to extend the backsplash across the back of this range (eventually) - easier said than done, but that's my plan. If you can't tell, I love this range/oven. I works wonderfully, no buyer's remorse, just have to get to the back splash changed (i'm sure my wife will keep reminding me).

When looking for a stove I wanted something that would last long a brand I could trust. So I chose a Samsung. This 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Single Oven Slide-In Gas Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven in Black Stainless Steel, Fingerprint Resistant is perfect for my home. I had an electric range so I am working on making the changes to gas to install it.

Excellent Samsung stove. Home Depot's contract delivery guys brought it in a tight spot and were very careful not to scratch anything. It was a simple install and it only took them about 25 minutes. This is my 2nd Samsung stove and I haven't had issues with either. I love the different options the stove comes with. "Reversible cast iron griddle" for a flat or grilled surface, different BTU ranges up to 18k, a wok grate even though I don't use a wok but makes me consider wanting to buy one for the 18k BTU burner. By far my favorite is the temperature probe. Even though you can buy your own wireless temperature probe, it's nice to have a built in one. The front looks sleek and homey yet industrial without looking like it belongs in a commercial kitchen like some other higher end brands. The red marks by the knobs also gives it a sleeker and professional look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am glad that my wife surprised me with a new stove in my kitchen. Our old one was missing knobs and one burner did not work. I like the look of this oven as it looks so professional. I love that the burners light up so fast and the middle burner is great for making pancakes. The only problem with the middle burner is it needs to be larger so it evenly heats the griddle. The oven took me a while to learn but I like the convection fan. When my wife made pizza for dinner, I liked that the crust was cooked evenly. The stove top has more surface area so I can cook several pans at the same time. I also wish that the oven had a third rack so my wife can bake more cookies at one time. The digital temperature is nice as it shows the temperature rising as the oven is heating up so I know when it is almost ready to put the food in.

The middle burner has a griddle which is great for breakfast, burgers and more. The range has six knobs, which five of them operate the burners and the other one is for the oven light. Each burner has its own output. The burners can accommodate various sized pots and pans. The ice blue digital display is nice and bright. The convection fan cooks the food evenly and you don’t even hear the fan on. I find the convection oven to be effective and consistent. You can cook with or without the convection. The interior oven racks are adjustable. The oven features a bake, convection, roast, easy cook, slow cook, dehydrate, bread proof, keep warm, broil, self-cleaning, cooking time, delay timer, start/set & off/clear. It also has a child safety lock and sabbath mode. The self- cleaning oven is a favorite, just push the button sit back and the oven cleans itself. There is a vent on the top rear of the range which get hot so be careful not to place anything hanging down. The cooktop is black with nice sturdy grates. While the range is not finger- print resistant it still wipes clean easily. The draw at the bottom has a recessed handle which gives a sleek modern appearance. The burners are sealed so no crumbs or spills get inside. We live in the world of technology, so of course the range is wi-fi. Simply download the app and connect the range to the wi-fi. The Wi-Fi allows you check the status of the burners, change the oven temperature and turn the oven off. The range gives you the performance to master your chef ability. A range that has all the modern-day features and looks fantastic in the kitchen. The oven is nice and roomy to accommodate a turkey, large pizza and more. Overall Samsung has designed a range with their customers in mind.

I have been using my Samsung 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Single Oven Slide-In Gas Range for almost a week now. Just getting use to all the features. First of all it has a good modern look to it. I chose the black stainless which helps hide fingerprints. I have a matching Samsung refrigerator and it does not show the fingerprints. The range has large control knobs that are die cast. Being a slide in is nice because the range edges sit on top of the counter. Crumbs and food can't fall between the cabinet and range. It has an overall custom look sitting that way. At the bottom there is a storage drawer to keep cookie sheets and baking trays that is nice. I have never had a fan convection before and find that the heat is even when baking cookies, as my old one did not and was uneven baking. I am really liking this oven range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was rushed into the purchase of my previous gas range- this time I did a lot of research and comparisons before deciding on this Samsung Slide in Range- and now with my other Samsung appliance I nearly have a new kitchen! I love the custom built in look- ( but I now need to move that old receptacle!) The installers were wonderful making sure the anti-tip devise was in place as well as scheduling the city gas inspection. I love the different size burners as well as the different powers each one has from simmer to power boil! The oven is very fast to reach the temperature that I set it at as well- I love the dehydrate setting for making jerky! The convection feature is wonderful for baking and it will be getting plenty of use in the next month! The grates on this range sit high enough to not scorch my pots and they are easy to lift and clean- all the element and the pilot light is enclosed. I have not figured out the advantage of my new range having smart wifi technology but my kids think that is epic! It comes with a griddle to place in the center but the center burner is round- and I think it should be oval shape to heat the griddle evenly- but its a good burner for oversized pots and water baths for home canning. I love the way the over light is actually one of the knobs to keep sementry appearance. I think the fan discharge in the back is a bonus for keeping small pots of food warm during oven use and for melting butter while the oven is on! The control panel is very sensitive so no worries about abusing the panel over the years-

It is easy to clean and I appreciate the fact that the burners are black this prevents the soot from cooking from being visible. I have cooked pasta and chicken soup and the performance was good. It is fast to reach the desired temperature and quick and easy to clean up. I only had to use a napkin with soapy water to clean it since the grease does not stick to the range surface. The gridle is also a very convenient accessory when entertaining guests. It makes it easy to keep food warm at a low temperature on the range. I am cooking much more than in the past and enjoying it with such a nice looking range that cooks fast and can be cleaned so easily. I also appreciate the fact that it has a Wi-Fi connection that allows me to check remotely if the burners are off which brings me peace of mind. The gas pipe was right behind the range so the range could not be pushed all the way against the back wall leaving a 2 inch gap between the range and the wall. After having a plumber re-route the gas pipe, the range could be pushed all the way to the back wall. It looks great!

We love our newest Samsung 30 inch wide Slide-in Natural Gas, or LP Gas, 5-Burner Range, with a Self-Cleaning, Convection Fan, Two Rack Oven. It's front panel is finished in Stainless Steel, with a newly designed Digital Touch Screen Control Center, Large Oven Window, Stainless Oven Door Handle, and redefined burner control knobs. The cooktop has a fresh new appearance finished in Black Porcelain, black iron grates, and includes a larger, wider Non-Stick Griddle. The convection oven helps cook foods more evenly, and reduced cooking times. The advantage of natural gas is instant heat for faster range and oven warm-up. None of the wait time for electric ranges too heat-up, conserving energy. The gas inlet port is a 1/2 inch. This oven is a step above our old Samsung Oven. .

Great set of features! Installation was easy and straightforward. The installation steps are very well documented. The supplied connection kit also explained how to do the gas connection and where to use PTFE tape and where not to! Pick up the yellow PTFE tape for gas connections for the installation. A very nice feature is that the oven has a small lip at the top that slightly overlaps the counters on either side, so no gap is left between the counter and the oven surface. The feet of the oven are to be adjusted so that the lip is just a bit higher than the counters. Adjusting the height is easy and the legs can be turned by hand if someone else takes the weight of the oven off the foot being adjusted. The over comes with jet set up for natural gas and a set of Liquid Propane jets are also included. Since we were installing with natural gas we did not need to do the conversion. There is a special trim piece that goes on the back to reduce the gap between the rear of the oven and the wall. The vents are at the rear edge and a cast grid sits over them vents to prevent them getting blocked. The range has 4 put burners plus a central burner and a nice griddle is supplied that fits on the central burner when desired. The finnish is smooth and looks lovely. The control panel at the front has a nice bright display. When using the oven it indicates which burners are being used (top and bottom). There are 6 knobs on the front, five are for the range burners and the 6th is for the oven light. It seems weird to have a big knob for just switching the light, but clearly it was done to keep the controls symmetrical with three knobs on either side of the electronic control panel. The burner control knobs are vertical when off, which one would think would provide a nice visual check that all the burners are switched off, but, when a burner is set to medium, it is also vertical! (See picture.) The indicator on each knob is a small red line on the side, so I think it would have been much better to have a very visible indicator of what the knob is set to from a safety and usability point of view. (This is the only negative we have found.) The burner that each knob corresponds to is clearly marked. In addition to baking, baking (with convection), roasting (with convection) and broiling, there are also slow cook, dehydration, a bread dough proving, and keep warm modes! The oven burners are ignited by means of a glow bar, and the range burners are of course ignated with a spark generator. You can set the oven to any temperature from 175 °F to 550 °F when baking and roasting and 100 °F to 175 °F for dehydration mode. Now it gets even better, using an app, one can control the oven from your phone, but one does have to press the Smart Control button on the oven once cooking has started. So once the over is started you can alter the cooking time, temperature and also turn the cooking off. It works, but I am not sure how much itility the remote control brings, usually one wants to look inside or test a cake... As expected, the oven has a delay start feature and three self cleaning options. One can also configure the sounds, calibrate the temperature and have it convert non-convection temperatures to convection temperatures, etc. The oven light is a standard 40-watt appliance bulb. Two oven racks are provided. The door and storage drawer can both be removed for cleaning. The storage drawer glides smoothly on nice runners. In all, a wonderful oven and range, packed with features and it looks great!

This is my first Samsung appliance and I am impressed with the build quality. A few things that stand out vs the competition - heavy duty knobs, an easy on/off knob for the oven light, a bottom storage drawer this is on nice drawer slides, pre calibrated knobs that do not need to be adjusted upon install (top notch Samsung), a blue interior. Install was easy and gas is very responsive. This slide in stove was replacing a stove with a tall back, so I used the included filler strip to ensure the gap in back of the stove was filled. What's nice - Comes with an LP conversion kit - Bake and convection back - Dehydration feature --> works very well - Nice look and balanced knobs - Easy to use touch bad (even my mom can use it) - A fast boil - a high quality griddle - back of stove filler strip included What would be nice - A pull our rack with drawer glides for heavy dishes like a dutch oven full of stew. - The middle burner is round which produces a center hot spot on the griddle. An oval center burner would have been an nice touch. Personal preference - The counter top lip is very convenient for filling any gap between counter top and range, which i needed in this application, however, it does seem that more and more slide in ranges are going without the lip.

This is really a great looking range. We replaced a GE range that had a black stainless finish. This range matches the color of the GE over the range microwave perfectly. We love this color. Kind of a deep grey. he fifth or center burner is great. We can use the grates to slide pots from one burner to another easily. If we choose, we can use the griddle that comes with the range (see photos). It just slips on top of the center burner or can be used on the other burners instead. This has a large oven so fitting 2 or 3 casseroles is a breeze. Racks are easily adjustable too. The convection oven is a huge improvement over the non-convection we had. No more rotating baked goods or changing the racks they're cooking on. We really like this feature. The fan does it all and it does it very quietly. The video shows the fan shutting down when the door is opened so you can get a feel for how quiet it really is. Nice feature. The sides at the top actually rest on the counter top. We had a silicone flap on both sides to prevent anything from falling between the range and the cabinets. This design does that easily without the need for the strips. Another great feature. What we're not crazy about are 2 features. The first is the fingerprint resistant finish. The front control panel has a face plate that is easily smeared. It's not as simple as just wiping it. Like our last one, it takes nothing to smudge it and it takes a bit of effort to remove it. The rest of it is true to the fingerprint resistant. The other feature is the oven light control. Of course it lights up when the door opens but to turn it on, you have to push the knob in and rotate it. It does look good since it makes 3 knobs on each side to balance the appearance but it seems a bit ridiculous.
