Installation
Needs only a medium Phillips screwdriver unless you have to mortise the latch tongue and/or the striker plate. I used hammer and chisel for this. Be careful not to break the edges of the door when mortising. (Yes, I did. It glued up pretty well, though)

Great quality and should last a while. I purchased a lockset from HD about 3 years ago. I'm not sure if it was a defiant or kwikset but it is not worth the money. I would go outside at least 4 times a day to take my dog out and the know started to jam. What a piece of junk!!!
This schlage is smooth and solid. Fits both latches for a trouble free installation.

This handle set is the standard that I have to use. I can pull the lock cylinder out and rekey it at will. it's for light commercial duty, but holds up very well for constant daily use.
I with it came in the darker color however.
