I bought this keyed door knob to replace the old one on an exterior service door used by people that service the property. I replaced the knob with the same model because the old one lasted at least 15 years in an area that gets lots of wind and fog. I took the new knob to a locksmith and had it rekeyed to my key from the old one so I won't have to go around distributing new keys to the service people.

Hard to assemble makes a clicking sound when you unlock the door. I do not really care for it but will do until I can go and shop for another. It looks cheaply made

I love the finish and look. It is made so you can open locked door from inside, without unlocking, but cannot lock yourself out as you must turn locking mechanism when you leave. Made well, super easy to install!

Although I do not care for the style, Schlage locks are always easy to install and very dependable.

The lock is of good quality. The only thing I'm disappointed in is when you turn the key you don't have the option to keep the door set to lock by turning one direction. Some lock sets turn the key left and the door opens but then the lock stays set to lock. This one you have to relock the door from the inside every time you open, which is some what of a hassle to remember to lock it back each time.

Easy to install works to perfection.

All parts in this lock are some what loose as compared to what I had before, i.e. the knob has a lot of play and when locking the parts seems to move. The key is hard to get in the lock even after lubricated. It locks but no real happy with this one. I wanted a Brinks but it looks like they are not carried anymore. .

It looks very well and really easy to intall

I bought 3 of these with identical locks. I exchanged them 2 times because of manufacturing defects. First batch had spinning rosettes. Second had one that couldn't be tightened past 1/3 of way. Third had one with a broken lock. Schlage quality is awful.

Not grade 1 ,it’s grade 2 and light duty door knob.

This is described as having met ANSI Grade 1. Not so. The package says ANSI Grade 2. That would be deceptive advertising. It does have an AAA rating from BHMA for homeowners. Also, the packaging calls it "light commercial". I'll use the 2 I bought.(

Works as expected. quite easy to open and close. I like that it locks on one side but can still be opened by turning the knob. Not the best idea when you have kids, but still a good knob.
