The kit comes with a bar to stabilize the lower extent of the roll up door. That helps, but the whimpy rope for pulling the door up gets stuck in the rollers included. We found it easier to use the bar but then roll the door up by hand and secure with bungies at the top. Much cleaner and easier.

I bought this a few weeks ago and the box had opened in shipping and most of the key parts were missing. When I called customer service, they couldn't have been more helpful. Without any questions or hassle, and without any extra expense, they had a full replacement at my door in less than 48 hours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I 'm using this on my 12'x24' Shelter door. It does the job it's supposed to do. My only complaint is the directions could be a bit more clear concerning the cord. I didn't know if it should be left as one piece or cut in two so I assembled it as one piece and then determined it could be cut. It would have been easier to cut it in the beginning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it should have been included in the purchase of my replacement cover. What good is the zipper door without it? Also,I had to repair one s-hook as the rope was getting caught between the roller and the s-hook frame. (east fix)

The overall quality of the door kit is consistent with the shelter itself. Easy to install. Only thing I’d suggest is using a grommet kit instead of just cutting the shelter material as the instructions suggest. That’d be a ripstop solution and a bit more durable.

Was going to make something like this but this kit was easer. Thought possibly a door solution like this might should have been included in the original cover kit. Now all I'll need to do is fabricate a tool to move the zipper up 12 feet to unzip to open the door on each side.

It would appear that this is meant to roll up on the outside, which makes no sense. Water is going to get in there, then freeze. Why is this not designed to roll up inside?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only thing I don't like is the rope. I think it would be easier to use if it was a little thicker. Other than that this works great. Wish there was a way that it attached to the zipper to pull it open and close as you roll it up and down.

Purchased this to go on the end of an 8x12 round top shelter with the heaviest fabric. Instructions are mostly helpful but seem written by someone with no actual product knowledge. For example it says to locate the holes for anchoring the drawstring 18" from each zipper. on the 8x12 the zippers are about 40" apart on the top, so the anchors would actually cross each other. The hollow tubes provided for the base to provide mass on which to roll the door must be filled with sand. Doing so makes them so heavy the segments fall apart when rolling the door up. There is no provided way to anchor the weight tubes to the bottom edge of the door, so with weight in it the tube slides out of the door pocket if one end of the door comes up faster than the other. Had to add additional segments because the door fabric sets behind (interior to) the side fabric, so with only 3 segments in the pocket it would catch on the side fabric (which wraps around the front panel) every time, about three feet off the ground. Also, the heaviest fabric gets so stiff in cold weather it won't roll under any condition. So - poor instructions, poor design, and non-functional in the cold. Nice people. Product fails to deliver on intended function.

Poor quality where the rope is thinner than the gap in the holder and the pulley. It sticks when raising the door every time.

works great I needed something like a roll up kit

I installed the door myself, the directions were clear and it was easy. Now I can pull my tractor in and out of my shelter much easier.

I have not been able to use because the hooks were missing in the packaging.

just installed this today with the weather being nice. Not at all impressed with this device. would not recommend this .

I bought this a month ago to go on the front of my round 32'x12'x10' shelter logic carport, The directions are a little sketchy to follow, But once installed and trained to roll up a few times, It works as advertised.

It is a great kit for those who hate rolling up the door by hand. Easy and simple to use

Have used the door opener kit regularly for about two years. Rarely binds. I stand close to door to one side when opening and closing. Sometimes door tilts when opening and have to work the pull cords separately to straighten. Makes getting my Kawasaki Mule in and out of 10x15 shelter much, much easier!

The roller is too short, so the cord gets stuck off to the side and I have to climb up and pull it out.

Exactly what I needed to make repairs to my shelter door.

I installed it just as instructed, even putting the gravel in the bottom pole in the door opening, and it doesn't want to roll up. It just clumps up onto itself and I end up rolling it up by hand and pulling the cords tight to hold it in place. The cord also gets caught in the pulley guide wheels and is a pain. Overall disappointed.

bought this for a barn style shelter i purchased (rounded top), it doesn't roll the door up high enough since the door cutout is slightly at a slant and it needs to roll straight up. lost about 18" of closing height when i installed this. ended up just taking the whole door off instead, works much better without it anyways
