Great Basic Machine at Great Price
Bought this machine to join the army of mask-makers fervently sewing for our frontliners and essential workers. I love how it is so compact, sturdy and versatile. It is super easy to use and has been my trusty sidekick in this battle against PPE shortage. I just wish it were dual voltage so I can bring it back to my home country after the pandemic.

Great starter machine!!! :)
I love this machine for my sewing classes. I recommend it to all my beginner students who think they want to sew. It's a great place to start for a small investment. It's a great deal! And I haven't had any issues with it at all. :)

Good Little Sewing Machine
This is a nice little sewing machine with a good array of features. Most beginners using it will need an experienced sewer to teach them how to use it. I bought it for my 13-year-old granddaughter & am teaching her. She loves it. The only issue we've had so far is that the bobbin tension isn't very consistent & has required a few adjustments. I never once had this problem in many years of sewing on different machines. But I don't expect perfection from something in this price range. So I would say I'm very satisfied.

Practical for beginners and mending.
It’s practical for beginners. All the basic stitches are there but if you’re a fast learner and creative, better get an enhanced version coz you’ll get bored with this. Also, the reverse stitch is not working well with basic cotton. It doesn’t feed well even more so on delicate fabric.

Good starter machine, I think
I haven't done more than tinker so far. The bobbin is not intuitive to me, but I'm only a beginner. I've just always seen the type of machine that has the drawer with the bobbin laying flat.

Singer Start 1304
I'm so happy to have this machine. It has similar features to my first Singer from 1974. It's very user-friendly and perfect for my basic sewing needs. My only concern is the presser foot lever is plastic. I'm treating it gently and hoping for long life. Mask on!

Great machine
Five stars
This is a great little machine. Compact enough to fit in a cubbyhole space but amazing in what it can do.
Yes, there is a slight issue with the bottom thread not catching the first time (it catches on the 3 or 4 turn of the wheel) but the machine is easy to use and easy to troubleshoot as I had to do when the needle pushed a bent pin into the lower bobbin mechanism. Oops!

Singer Start 1304
I love mine! But a heads-up to future buyers: the container had only a single set-up sheet, which wasn’t much help (to me, anyway). If you want the Owner’s Manual, you’ll have to order it separately, at an additional charge. BUT the Owner’s Manual goes into much greater and clearer detail. So, it’s money well spent. That said, it’s a great basic machine, if you don’t want a lot of bells & whistles.
