The blackout that I bought do not have the tip end that it was supposed to have (as manual), so I can't use it in my window.

This is a great shade for darkening a room and was very easy to install. It doesn't completely "blackout" because some light still gets in around the edges but it would work great with a blackout curtain to seal the sides. It was easy to install using a power drill/screwdriver. I marked the screw holes, drilled pilot holes and screwed the brackets in place. The shade then clicked into the bracket and was ready to use. It rolls down smoothly and goes back up slowly so I can just tug and let go. I'm using it to darken the hallway outside my son's room during nap time. It was so bright in the hallway (the window is right across from his door) that light was shining into his room around the door and just that little bit of light was making a difference. The shade almost completely disappears when it's retracted and looks nice when not in use.

The StyleWell Cut-to-Size Cloud Cordless Blackout Roller Shade will be a nice addition to the storage room. This room is South facing and gets very hot in the summer sun. Also there are freezers in this room that add to the heat so this shade will help them operate more efficiently when the sun is hitting that window. The tension and rollup speed adjustment is a nice feature. We are not able to go to that location at this time so there are no photos of the installed shade. There was a stain at the end of the shade. Hopefully it will be able to be cleaned. This stain cost this shade one star.

The StyleWell Cut-to-Size Dark Blue Cordless Blackout Roller Shades 37 in. W x 72 in. L is certainly a black out roller shade. It blocks out all of the light very well. I put it on my wife's side of the bed, so that on the mornings that she doesn't have to go to work early, she can pull it down and gain a little bit of extra sleep. I do believe that she enjoys not having the morning sunshine on her late days.

This blackout shade was just what we needed for our window that is directly in the sun's pathway, and this summer the heat is outlandish. With this shade we fixed the problem and also lowered the heat temperature significantly. The shade was perfectly custom cut according to our specifications and the installation was done in a jiffy. All in all, this was a perfect selection.

I do rotation work and when I need to sleep days I need it dark in my bedroom. This product is excellent for that reason. The instructions that were included in the packaging were very easy to understand and follow. Everything you need to install this roller shade is included. I love the fact that I could have this roller shade cut to size. I have tried the one size fits all, but have never been able to find a shade that fits my irregular window. This shade is made from very durable material and is easy to wipe clean with a dust cloth.

The quality of the shade fabric appears very good. It blocks a lot of light, especially in the dark blue I selected. I've had different types of "black-out" window treatments over the years and this one performs pretty well. In my experience, the darker the color the more light will be blocked. I don't think you'll block out all the light as your eyes are capable of detecting even very low levels of light but for the price this gives you a good level of darkening. Installation was pretty easy but the plastic mounting hardware feels a little cheap. It's been holding up fine though.

I've been on lookout for a blackout shade for our young toddler's room that doesn't have any cords and I was so pleased to find this. It is definitely high quality and comes with everything needed for installation. The instructions are extensive, but the shade has a great weight and feel. The navy color isn't quite as vibrant as I hoped, but it looks great and I love that it's something different than black or white. It doesn't fit in the window where we were going to use it (and because it's cut to size, we don't want to modify ourselves). Instead, we're planning on using it as a back drop for the many zoom calls and virtual meetings that our son has this school year. I love that it's easy enough for him to pull down and pull up when he's done. Because it's cordless, we don't have to worry about our toddler getting tangled up. Who knew that a black out shade would be a necessary back to school purchase for 2020?! This would be perfect for a nursery or a kid's room. A very versatile piece!

We have a door to our back patio that causes a lot of daytime glare! Almost impossible to watch TV in the middle of the day so we went with this Blackout Shade as a curtain on the windows just wouldn't work with all the opening and closing. This shade is made well and lives up to it's name to be a blackout roller shade. Covers the window on the this door and came with everything we need to install it securely. The operation of the shade is nice and smooth. Pull it down and a short tug locks it in place. We have the tension just right so that wen we tug it again to release, we can let it go and it smoothly rises to the rolled up position. Comes with a tool to adjust the tension if you need to down the road, and the clips that mounted on the door are easy to install and lock the shade in place. The only downside to this is we will have to get a valance to cover up the workings but that more due to our installation they a standard one inside a window. I would recommend this shade as it stylish and functional at the same time.

I have mixed feelings about this roller shade. I decided to try it to see how well it blocks the heat from one of my windows that receives unrelenting sun in the summer. I had been using thermal curtain liners but they were bulky and looked awful. This shade is the same thickness as the liners and I was pleasantly surprised at how much heat it blocked. In retrospect I should have ordered a size wide enough for an outside mount. The inside mount does not cover the window completely - something I should have known. It comes with a rigid bar with 2 end caps for the bottom of the shade to make it sturdy to pull down and release.. The quality of the shade leaves something to be desired. The edges are frayed and although it was supposed to come with a center pull tab, mine did not have one. The mounting brackets are easy to install, but the screws are cheap and strip out.

Definitely recommend this StyleWell Cordless Blackout Shade for its quality and ease of installation. I was able to install it in about ten minutes thanks to simple directions and all parts being clearly identified. The two brackets are actually molded with an “R” and “L” for Right and Left. You will need a tape measure, drill and bit set, Philips-head screwdriver, level and pencil for marking holes. This is a one person install. I chose the outside mount option and used the anchors successfully in the drywall. The latch on the right bracket snapped easily into place securely holding the shade end in. There is a hard clear plastic grip which is a major improvement over the older versions on past shades I have owned. The shade material is thick and does an excellent job as a true blackout variety. The beige linen pattern is attractive and adds a little visual texture to the window. Great product overall.

StyleWell Cut-to-Size Cloud Cordless Blackout Roller Shades 55 in. W x 72 in. L – I ordered this shade to go over the blinds in my office where the desk is right in front of a window. I needed something to block the light that caused glare on the monitor especially during virtual meetings and video conversations. I mounted the shade to go over the mini-blinds which does let a small amount of light in on the sides, but also because of the width I had it cut to. The shade could easily block out all light depending on its width and mounting preferences. It was very easy to install, but the cut edge was jagged and there were black marks along it. Using a straightedge and a razor blade we trimmed off about 3 feet along the rough edge, there were however, still black marks and some small dent marks on the edge of the shade that couldn't be trimmed, probably from the cutting machine. Luckily, the marks face the outside and we hope the dents come out over time. There should be a better way of cutting shades for a cleaner cut. The shade raises and lowers smoothly and does keep out the light; it’s not the most high-end shade but it serves its purpose.

There are so many way to stay away sunlight to shine into your room. Other than traditional string pull in various kind of material. The modern string free and free stop at any length you like. Now, Stylewell bring in this new blinds concept to improve your blind featuring and convenience. It is rolling design with preset spring for you can pull the blind as far as you prefer at stay lock there. If you want to keep it back just slightly pull it once, then it will retract back to its orginal position. I think this is nowaday people like the most for window curtain . Installation is as simple as you install 4 pc of screw ( provided ) with your premark drill hole will be done. What I like the insert of the roll shape is easy, one side is insert and then the othe side end has a open clip for you slide in the holder then clip it. Material is fine and easy maintain. Before you buy it , please make sure you get the exact measurement to gt precut correctly.

Style Well Window37.5-.5-55” Wide (Cut in increments of 0.5”) Taupe Cordless Blackout Roller Shades with Fixed 72” length I just got this in today, and I'm so excited to have it. I can tell it's very well made and not one ounce of light comes through. The one I have has a very subtle shade of taupe with white on the back side. The length is fixed at 72.” I am very pleased with this blackout roller shade by StyleWell. You can feel at ease and know you will definitely have privacy, and another plus is if you have a night time job and have to sleep in the day time, this is for you. It is amazing how it is totally blackout. This product is made with timeless plain fabric with a taupe backing that blocks out light and reflects the heat. So many times when a product is said to be “blackout” it's not. I can guarantee you when this company says it's blackout quality, it is a fact. The company will be more than happy to trim this shade to your desired width. This shade comes with all hardware needed to install it. I would definitely recommend his roller shade by StyleWell to everyone. It's a great product, well made, does what it says and at a great price. This is quality. This shade should last for a very long time. Here is the Internet # if you'd like to take a look and read about it: 309076199

I got this set of shades for my office window by my desk. The sun and brightness makes a glare on my computer screens making it almost impossible to see when I am working. I tried blinds but they did not cover all the window where I didn’t have some glare. I wanted something to completely black the window out at times. This shade works and blacks the entire window. The quality of the shade is great, however the plastic end pieces I am not sure how long they will last, It was easy to assemble and install. In fact I made an add-on piece to my window frame to accommodate the width of the shade. I am satisfied with this shade.

There are two things I like about this shade: 1. The color is great & stylish. 2. The blackout feature really blocks out the sun & heat. Unfortunately there are at least six things that I do not like at all & they make the shade not worth using at all. They are: 1. The edges of the fabric easily get frayed even after cutting off all the loose strings on the cut side, I get frayed edges in trying to adjust the shade to work well - even on the non-cut side. 2. I think the shade was cut 1/4" shorter then what it should've been but that was not too much of a problem because I can add side shims to allow the brackets to fit just right. 3. After following all the instructions and placing the shade in place - it would come down easily but it would never roll up at all. 4. In rolling the shade down it made loud "click-clakity" noise worse than a commercial metal roll-up door would make. 5. After following the instructions in trying to make the shade work like it should (I tried at least 10 times by removing, using the supplied crank handle to tighten a few turns) but that did not work. Even the "Help" call line was not able to find any help on how to correct the problem. Then I removed the internal spring/rod mechanism & it seems that the spring was more likely wound too tight from the factory. Their was nothing in the instructions on how to loosen it that worked at all. I tried to loosen it grabbing the spring in various places & loosen it. It did loosen it somewhat. But even with that it still make the loud noise in coming down & it still would not go up. 6. The screws that come with this unit have Phillips (& slots) that get easily striped even in using in pre-drilling & in using a non-electric screwdriver. There should be better instructions on how to loosen the spring if it is too tight. So after having to deal with all this (which took a bit over 3 hours) I removed the whole shade & the brackets out and will use something other than this shade in the window.

This Stylewell roller shade included all mounting hardware in the carton. The material used to make this shade has a nice feel to it and it will be much easier to keep clean than blinds. The parts include a small crank to tighten up the spring if necessary. When raising or lowering the shade it is not necessary to touch the material as a center-mounted clear plastic handle is included. The instructions to install the shade are clear and easy to follow.

Easy to install, and great sun-blocking effect. Our son’s bedroom received direct afternoon sun, so we needed a blackout shade for his window. This shade was easy to install, taking less than 20 minutes, and involved just a drill and a screwdriver. I found that my window needed 35.5” custom-cut length, which Home Depot did easily. The brackets that hold the blind are sturdy, solid polymer. I did need to drill my own hole in the bracket in order to accommodate the wood trim frame around my window. I put together a brief (1.5 minute) video showing how to mount these. The directions did a great job, and they include helpful troubleshooting, plus a winding tool. I didn’t need it, yet, but I’m holding on to the directions & tool in case I need it later.

StyleWell's Cut-To-Size Cordless Blackout Roller Shade in Cloud White blocks light from entering ...
StyleWell's Cut-To-Size Cordless Blackout Roller Shade in Cloud White blocks light from entering the room really well. The shade itself is thicker than a regular roller shade, and feels substantially heavier. This shade has an original size of 72"x72", but can be custom ordered to fit your window. It is then cut to your precise measurements prior to shipment. My roller shade was custom ordered to 64" wide and 72" long, which is perfect for the sliding glass patio door. All hardware and brackets are included. The shade's brackets allow it to be installed on the interior of the window or on the exterior of the window. I love it.

I got the StyleWell Cut-to-Size Dark Blue Cordless Blackout Roller Shades 37 in. W x 72 in as I do need to change up some of the shades and blinds. SO this can be cut to size by the user and it does come with instructions with pictures, how ever I ordered my cut to size by the factory, it was shipped in the standard box but the shade inside was cut to size. Comes with its own special mounting hardware, a clear special pull down handle and a retensioning crank. it can be mounted to drywall or wood. The hardware it uses to mount to is not the standard metal round end caps like old style shades. includes screws and dry wall anchors

The Stylewell cut to size linen cordless blackout shade is perfect for keeping out the light and darkening your room. The fabric is thick and has a nice feel and look. Very easy to install. You can adjust the tension which is nice. Shade is custom cut so make sure you leave enough room so the light does not shine through the sides. Looks nice in living room and compliments my decor.

This Stylewell cut-to-size blackout roller shade in dark blue does a great job of keeping light out. I installed this on our back door that is mostly glass). The instructions are easy to read/follow & installation is very simple. It rolls & unrolls smoothly. The roller shade material is thick, durable & easy to clean. I like the simple lift up latch to remove the roll if needed. The retentioning works great & is a nice feature to have. The plastic parts are thick & seem to be of good quality. When I was assembling this I was nervous about the plastic hem slat, hem pins & grip being loose fitting. Well they are nice & sturdy, not lose. The big issue I have with this is the cut on this is way off... It is far from straight. If they can solve this issue this would be a 4-5 star product. Until they can get the uneven cut issue figured out I cannot recommend this product even tho I really like it.

Although I love my shade, it wasn’t easy to put up. After installation it worked fine it covered the window side to side and is a true blackout shade no light comes in from outside. There’s no strings attached, so it goes up and down and just grabbing the bottom of the shade and moving it up or down, with the heavy duty spring mechanism in the roller.Only negative is that the pieces that you put on the ends to hold The shade up have to be measured exactly to the centimeter, or else you’re poking more holes in the wall trying to get it to move, originally we were trying to install it on the outside of the shade, but had to move it to the inside where it fit perfectly with a centimeter to spare, And by the way it came with all necessary parts.

This is a revolutionary design that goes together with the revolutionary new material. The backing resembles vinyl but with a touch of neoprene so it doesn't crack with age from being exposed to the sun. It came in a nice sturdy packaging which was substantially reinforced, so online purchasing is certainly a viable and safe option to buy. The pack contained all the hardware needed for the installation, you only need a drill (if you're going to install using the provided anchors) and a screwdriver. The textile front is very stylish and looks nice, with enough texture to look stylish and high end, and yet unobtrusive and discreet. Darkening capabilities are phenomenal, and I liked that the backing which is facing the sun is white. This way it reflects more heat making the room cooler. I had a window that is an odd size, so I had to cut this to width. I have to say, with this design the width is pretty much a recommendation. You can easily cut anything to size, only if you follow few easy steps. I took it all off the mechanism and the roll, laid it down on a piece of cardboard, textile facing up towards the cut, and snap a fresh piece of edge on my carboard knife. Sharp knife and cutting it from the front, top to bottom was very easy. I only used a large aluminum ruler of the type used for Sheetrock, took my time and sliced it with one single cut. I can see how you can go wrong on cutting so make sure to use a very sharp blade, preferably brand new. On another occasion I used a razor blade, the type used for scraping glass and it worked fine as well. Be mindful that a dull knife may damage the pattern and leave an uneven cut that would be annoying to look at. Basically, a sharp knife and a leading edge is all that's needed,. I particularly liked the functionality to add my own tension, as I didn't like factory set tension, it is either too floppy or tight for me, so this is a new touch that is going to be implemented on all such models in the future. The price is great for the quality, functionality, ease of installation and lifetime of this product and I certainly liked it in my house. Material sits straight, does not retain wrinkles and does not become wavy with frequent use, as other simple vinyl types usually become stretched at the edges and start having those curly edges. This shade sits straight and even, even after months of abuse under the summer sunshine blasting on it.

These are good blinds but I gave them a 3/5 for two reasons. First, the sides of the blind where it was cut to length are frayed along almost the entire length. Second, I thought the material would be thicker to block out more light. That being said, these do drastically reduce the amount of light coming in from the window and greatly reduce the ambient brightness of the room. They also effectively block anyone from seeing in and snooping. I think there are higher quality options out there, you may pay more. I think if the edges weren't frayed I would give this a 4/5 and would be pretty happy with it.

Fits Windows 55.5-72" Wide (Cut in increments of 0.5") - Taupe Cordless Blackout Roller Shades with Fixed 72" Length I got this blind for my daughter bedroom. It's been a little over a week and the feedback results are amazing. The blinds greatly block out the sunlight and can make the bedroom almost completely dark so the kid can take their afternoon nap. What I like most about the product is that it reflect the sun light and keep the room cooler than other rooms and that is light weight but strong because the frame is made of good material. The kit comes with wall mounts and screws, and installation took me just ten minutes to install. There is a click and lock clip that securely holds the frame to the mounts. Now for the roller shade, it is white on one side facing out and light almost like almond on the other facing inside, this is good for reflecting the sun (heat) back out in hot-summers. The shade is easy to pull up and down. Overall, very pleased with the product.
