At first I was very happy with 18' Summer Waves Elite above ground pool. It was a perfect size for my kids to play in. It was also fairly easy to put together. My husband and I put it up on May 20, 2017. However, yesterday (June 17th) we notice that it is rusting at every joint. It's been up for less than one month. How can a pool that cost $748.15 (plus tax) rust in less than one month. You would think that after paying this amount of money the life expectancy would be at least 2-3 years not one month. That is unacceptable. I would have given the pool 5 stars but because of the rust I am rating it 1 star. I will be calling Home Depot on Monday to see what can

Extremely low quality product. The floor liner is not thicker than a beach ball. The pressure of the water tears it apart after only a few days of having the pool filled. I am waiting to see how they respond to the warranty claim. I will follow up with an update.

Terrible do not buy had holes and they would not warranty and did not care . Customers service horrible.

We have had this pool for 3 years now. It is very easy to assemble and it is quite sturdy. The cover only lasted for the first year though, every time it would rain, it would fill up in the middle and then sink into the pool then we would have to fish the whole thing out. The pump and filter are not really sufficient for the size if the pool but if your dedicated to cleaning the filter every day and replacing it once a week with a new one it will get the job done. Also the water has to be treated with chemicals too. The vacuum worked alright after i finally figured out how to hook it all up. We did some minor prepping of the ground such as raking and leveling but thats it, no problems with leaks until this year but we let our daughter set it up and she set it over one of our drains so we will try to patch it and maybe use some sand. The liner is thick and sturdy and i like the design. The cost is reasonable for the size it is. We have been pleased with our pool.

The pool goes up easy and is a lot of fun for the kids. Do make sure the area for the pool is level. That was the most difficult part of the job.

I’m quite pleased with the pool. It’s big enough for swimming and seems strong to last. This is still to be seen. My only reason for giving one star less is the ladder. It’s not safe as it wobbles. It’s not easy to get in the pool especially is the person is not strong and young. Children and teens love it so far. Just keep it clean or it will stain easily and the pump is not the best. I feel I should get a coupon to purchase a bigger pump and a better ladder.

It is such a great pool easy to install

Summer Wave product is horrible. Bought a brand new 14x42” pool. First liner had a leak, called in for warranty replacement. The 2nd liner came in and it had a leak too. Summer Wave recommended to just patch it. When you buy a new product you expect it to be perfect without having to deal with a patch job. Bad customer service.

Having trouble with pump

Pool is ok. Had three pin holes straight outta the box! And all summerwaves pool have a horrible seam completely around the bottom of the pool. I won't buy another!

It took time to assemble but I was happy with the results.

The pool was very easy to put up. There were other problems though. I had to go out and buy hose clamps. The clamps that came with it wouldn't tighten up enough to stop the water from coming out. The filter and the skimmer was very poor quality The return hose came off during the night and drained the water down to the skimmer. I had to go out and get automotive style clamps. During shipment, the box was damaged and all of the framework was gone. Home Depot had to reorder another pool. So, it took about 3 weeks to finally get the pool. This pool was a replacement for a steel wall pool that lasted for 20 years.

Pump and filter are really not big enough for a pool this size. The ladder is very unstable ,I would not want to put a 250 lb. person on this ladder. the feet also stick out inside the pool and makes it hard not to stub a toe on it. I take my pool down every fall and getting the pins out of these fitting is going to be a real problem they should have made them spring loaded like on the legs, if you leave your pool up this would not be a problem. The pool liner is not a very heavy material ,I am hoping it last longer than my last pool. I bought it because I wanted a little bit deeper pool than my last one that was 48" deep, The 52" pool is 4" deeper but the way the skimmer is set up you can only put 47" or 48" of water in it so you really don't gain much maybe one or two inches is all

This pool is amazing. It’s a nice upgrade from the earlier generations. Looks fantastic and is a real nice size.

Pump is GARBAGE!!!! Purchased less than a month ago and already will not work. Can hear it humming but not spinning to pull in water. Polygroup will not help because no warranty. While researching this I see many reviews stating the same issue. There is a small ceramic type rod in the propeller that just crumples making the pump useless. Polygroup is well aware of this since the agent instantly asked about it. New propeller is $27+. Run away from this product and this company that continues to produce items that they know will not hold up and then fail to stand behind them.

Filter pump was insufficient power, had to buy a more powerful model and adapter kit.

I was so looking forward to having a pool in our new home so after researching a bit we decided on the Summer waves brand. Waited anxiously for our pool to arrive and we finally put it up. was pleasantly surprised on how big and nice it looked so we immediately started to fill it. Took 12 hours to fill to only find that it had a leak on the bottom of it. How do you empty 12 hrs of water to return a pool. What about the water bill? After talking it over with my husband I called Home Depot and they did offer a discount to keep and we tried our best to patch the leak but for the cost of this I think we should have sent back because we still have a slow leak! I hope someone can get back to me and offer some advice on what to do with it at this point.

I could have a sand filter pump instead of a cheep hang on skimmer filter. Otherwise overall good pool

Nice pool. Easy set up but took 2 of us. We really enjoy it.
