Nice umbrella but be careful
I love the solar lights on this umbrella. They worked great after a day in the sun… however - I did exchange at Home Depot for the following reasons…
After about 2 months in OH weather, the navy faded to a colonial blue. It’s definitely not navy anymore. Also, something must’ve snapped inside the tilt feature button. After 2 months my umbrella tilts with the slightest touch or wind. We tried to screw it in but it’s not the screw- it’s internal where you push the actual release to tilt button. I liked this so much I purchased it again & returned the defective one.

Poor color retention
We love the lighted umbrella and were excited to enjoy our patio through the evening with the solar lights. The color however faded quickly in only 10-12 weeks from "scarlet" to pink. Underside of umbrella maintained scarlet better. You will notice the chair cushions sit in the same sun and are almost 3 years old. Very disappointed.

Lasted a year. Bent in half during storm
Umbrella was easy to set up and looked great, no issues with minor winds. Lights were rarely used but functioned. Tan fabric did fade significantly over the course of one year. Secured with weighted base and used for our patio table. During a recent quick moving storm, the umbrella was unfortunately open and the plastic tilt mechanism shattered after the umbrella pulled the table over sideways. The umbrella pole also bent and then split in half. Exercise caution and ensure that umbrella is closed and stored securely as the materials are not as sturdy as we initially thought. Will look for a different model to replace.

That said, the fading you reported is not the norm and could easily be addressed with a warranty claim via ezreplacement.com - The pole is made of aluminum, a higher quality material, but is also not as strong as steel, which is used on less expensive umbrellas. Beautiful umbrella
Beautiful navy color. Fabric doesn’t fade. Perfect size for a table of 4. LED lights are nice and bright.

The umbrella mechanism works well, and I quite like the solar lights. The note of caution is because the color has faded quite severely in the bright sun. You will be able to see from the attached picture the difference between the part of the umbrella that’s exposed to the sun, and the underside which I’ve turned up to contrast the exterior of the umbrella with the interior. What I have done afterwards is remove the fabric that came with the umbrella, and replaced it with Sunbrella fabric from another umbrella that has had a damaged lift mechanism. Apparently, these umbrellas seem to be the same approximate size and construction so it was an easy switch.

Must be called solar because it only protects your from the sun
First day of use, easy set up. Everything is working fine, I set it up in the evening so I haven’t had a chance to test it in the sun...however we got hit with a light rain shower and the umbrella leaks like it’s getting paid for. guess I should have looked closer into the water proof portion of the ad. I mean no one is outside in the rain eating dinner but if you have any items that can get damaged by water I suggest you put them away immediately because the umbrella will not protect it.

This is by far the best solar umbrella that I've ever owned. The solar lights are bright and are perfect for an evening on the deck. The pole fit perfectly into my existing table and stand and the blue canopy looks great. I look forward to using the umbrella all summer.

Due to high winds in Iowa, the lower shaft bent in a standard base we have used for years. The aluminum is weak but I was able to repair the bent area and insert a 1 3/8 inch piece of steel fence rail to reinforce the thinner aluminum. As a precaution I would recommend this action or to take the upper unit down at the start of a windy period. The solar portion produces good light and stays lighted for a good amount of time.

This is a very nice umbrella but it is not convenient for seniors! I gave this umbrella 3 stars but it would have been 5 if the release button were not so difficult to reach and push! I have to use a step ladder and the button is very hard to push and you have to manually control the position of the umbrella! Had we known we would have gotten the style that we could crank! Do not get this style umbrella if you have any restrictions in hand movements! Sun-Ray is a good product but this one is badly designed unless you are 6 foot tall and not pushing 80!

It blocks sun
It works for blocking the sun however feels cheap and junky. Half the lights don't work less than 4 months after purchase and Home Depot will not exchange or refund.
Save your money and avoid this one.

Lights do not work
This is a beautiful umbrella, unfortunately the lights do not work. We checked the rechargeable batteries and they were corroded.

Patio umbrella is very nice. The lights give off a perfect amount of light. So much fun sitting at the table at night. There is even enough light to play cards.
