It rusted the day after we set it up outside. It looks ok as long as you don’t look at it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very study umbrella stand . I live in the desert and can get very very windy here , let me tell you it can. With stand so serious wind.. Its made of durable cast iron. Which is rhe best way to hold your umbrella safe and with lots of stability . Easy to assemble on basically any pole between 1.5 to 2" in dieter will fit .Equip with thumb screw which with keep umbrella secure . Its elegant design add a very unique decor to our backyard . We love it

Arrived and looked nice. Rusted within 1 1/2 weeks. Disappointed. Will try to return.

The pole on this base is too short so when the wind gusts the umbrella tips. I would look for another base with a higher umbrella holder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There was nothing in the description for this stand that stated it could only be used with a table. When I called you, I was told that you have no stands that don't require a table. So, now I am forced to buy a table. I am going to do this only because it would be a lot more hassle to return the umbrella and stand that I have already purchased. Once I buy the table I will not buy anything else from you.

The threaded connector that screws the umbrella holder cylinder to the base is very short and does not screw into the base very far. It results in a pretty wobbly connection. Not terribly impressed with the engineering of this item but it seems to be holding so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a nice umbrella base! We absolutely love this umbrella base, the cast iron is nice and heavy and has a lovely design. Our umbrella is free standing so it needed a heavier base to hold it up. We haven't had to much of a strong wind so I am hoping with the heavier base the umbrella will stay upright longer before it tips ( or hoping it won't tip at all). This base I can tell will last a long time and will stand up against our Michigan elements.

Its very well built and I have no worries about my umbrella moving. It is made of cast iron and the design fits in great with any decor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sunnydaze Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Outdoor Umbrella Base Stand, 18-Inch is an outstanding umbrella base! We were seriously in need of a new base and this brand met all our needs. It's a good weight, about 25 lbs and has a thumb screw to lock the umbrella let securely into the opening. The height was perfect for the length of the umbrella brand we have and it is beautiful. We did add a coat of exterior black spray paint and after it was dry, used a few coats of clear sealant and it is stunning. We are very pleased that we don't have to remove the umbrella with every little breeze as it is very secure. Definitely a high quality product and are confident it will last for many years to come.

This one is is very heavy! easy to put together . My umbrella fits very nice in it and it holds it tight. I went and got my sister one for hers!

Needs to be easier to put together

Cheep Rusted in one week. Not worth buying. Made in China

Nice product, but really should be heavier given the winds commonly seen in the Santa Clarita Valley on an almost daily basis. I finally had to switch my patio set up around and use the umbrella base in conjunction with my picnic table to keep the umbrella from falling over. The previous stand I owned (a different brand, but similar) had the upright holder break off (four spot welds didn't hold) when the wind blew the umbrella over, and the umbrella broke when it fell.

Poor rating because the stand was not dry when package, was still tacky when pulled out of box.The white styrofoam stuck to base and pulled off and repainted in that area. Kept it looks just finenow. the

Within 2 days of being outside, it is rusted.

Disappointing for the price. The finish was scuffed out of the box and after using it for a week it started to rust.

The product was solid but it started to show rust almost immediately.

The umbrella stand left a rust ring on my brand new deck. I had to return.

This is an attractive base but the metal edges are very rough and will strip your deck finish if you're not careful. In addition, the base rusts when it gets wet. I will have to seal it, I think. I'd recommend sticking with concrete or plastic if you want to avoid the rust. And don't order online - go to the store. These are too heavy to ship well.

This rusted immediately

I just purchased this item at the end of May. It is already rusting and the pole is loose from the base. Hopefully, it lasts until the end of summer at which time I'll toss it. Hopefully I will pick a better one next year.

Nice, heavy duty umbrella stand that comes with an adapter for narrower umbrella poles.

Felt I needed to put extra weight on the stand to feel confident that the umbrella wouldn’t get blown over in even a light breeze.
