Very flimzy hardware made out a soft metal the breaks and bends from normal usage, the swing in feature is nice to have but unfortunately the window latch does not lock to swing in, not recommended to use tafco not answer from customer service and no email back

Shippped yo store (hays, ks), notified available fir pickup. Traveled 60 miles 1 way/120 miles bith ways, 5 hrs of my time for travel/waiting, loading, strapping, unloading, the opening packaging and inspections. Muktiple boxes of order showed abuse. Egress window box had been fixed with packing tape. Opened it…. Busted nail fins, broken window frame, scratches and marrs on it. Egress window well cover looked like it had been melted and dragged on the ground. Very displeased!!!

Missing screws and has hairline cracks in framing on multiple windows. Poor manufacturing job

I was skeptical about purchasing this window after reading the reviews. It arrived with no damage. Installed with no problems. Works smoothly and flawlessly. I can see that if it is not installed completely plumb and level there could be a operational problem.

I just installed this window as an egress in my basement. At the top of the window is a slide lock that is supposed to prevent it from cracking open when the swing open option is done. The slider barely touches the bracket and it just pops off. Didnt motice at first until i felt a breeze coming through the window ran my hands down the side and noticed the top wasnt locked in thats when I found the problem and noticed it pops out every time i shut it. Extremely frustrated, if i were you id buy a higher quality window.

The window is easy to install and use. If you have installed new construction windows (nailing flange) before, there is nothing new here. I really like how it comes with the option to tilt in as the in swing only opens to a bit over 90 degrees, which works great for egress, but not so much for opening up the window on a nice day. The tilt-in locks the bottom edge of the window and allows the top edge to tilt-in about 6 inches, allowing for good airflow without the inconvenience of having the entire window sticking out 2 feet into the room. This window fits perfectly in the same width as where my standard basement windows used to be. All I had to do was remove the foundation below the existing window to make up for the height difference, which is great because it does not effect the structure above, no additional bracing is needed. Standard 37" galvanized steel window wells fit will around this window. I faced it off with a vinyl print of a stone wall, to give it a nicer look.

I love my window, wished all my windows were this style. Nice looking outside without an obstructed view as in traditional sliding windows. Easy to open and close (one hand) And the tilt function is an added bonus to let in some fresh air ... In case of an emergency this will be very easy to open and climb through. I'm happy with my purchase

Ordered these since they swing in instead of out. First set of two came in and the boxes were so badly damaged. Then the seal was broken on both to connect to the house. Returned and ordered two more. Those came through and again same issue as well as one window having a broken hinge and the other a screen tear. Returned and find others at this point. Just don't waste your time and money on these.

Poor delivery of products! Received them broken and then act of Congress to get return/refund

The three that were not broken work great. Still waiting for the other five to replace the ones with broken frames. Returns were very easy.

I have ordered and received two of these windows, both had cracked frames. Waiting for the third to arrive and see if it will not be damaged!

Great window for egress in basement

Solid window. Works well. Feels heavy but glass is clear, opens correctly. Contractor installed during renovation

Installed a pair of these in my master bedroom. Ones latching mechanism failed in first 6 months. If you open or tilt it the handle becomes stuck and you can no longer close it. Reached out to Tafco for a warranty and was told they would ship a new handle. That was a month ago and I have neither received a replacement handle or a response to multiple follow up emails requesting a status update. Inconsistent quality and terrible customer support. You are rolling the dice with a purchase.

The window came well packaged and on time. Installation was easy and product is well made. Product instructions and warranties were missing.

Great windows. Arrived without damage. The only thing that could be better would to make instructions available digitally or on paper when the windows are shipped.

THESE ARE NOT ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED WINDOWS. Be sure to check that these meet the code in your area for U-value or that they are an improvement over your existing windows because they have a high U-value. The hinges and locks are sticky, so they were difficult to use as tilt windows rather than casement windows.

Windows are decent. Actually pretty difficult to operate and keep fully closed

Seems to be a high quality window for the $
