It went askew soon after I began using it. I had someone in to fix it, and the repairman said it was cheap plastic but did his best; but it went askew again almost immediately. Meanwhile, for male users, the bottom ring won't stay up – a fellow has to hold it up with one hand in order to avoid hitting it. Maybe the one I got was defective; disappointing, because the looks of this seat matches the looks of the rest of the toilet better than any other I've found. (I also love the look of the toilet, but am having problems with it running all the time.... )

Easy to install, looks great

Cotton white was the wrong color. I thought I ordered Colonial White. Return process was easy. Home Depot did not have Colonial White in stock so I purchased that elsewhere.

Title says it all. you need a very soft-touch and a tail wind to get the seat to stay up while you do your number one business. Also very "wiggly". lots of lateral play in the seat, even though the bolts are secure and do not shift in the holes. Feels like you are about to slide off! I am looking into returning ASAP. I have had better outcome with the other Toto softclose sold at HD.

Just what I was looking for and a great price.

Works as well as the original. My only gripe is that the top mounting hardware is not included and has to be purchased separately.

OEM replacement option for Toto Acquia III. Note that the hardware provide will not work for skirted toilets like Acquia III. See Toto part THU651N. This Toto hardware can be extremely difficult to remove if installed without anti-seize on threads due to corrosion.

I recently saw that a Toto asked me to contact them, so I did. They were no help. No solution for the falling bottom ring, and the seat can't be straightened without removing the bowl – which will cost me more than the toilet did.

Easy to install, with nice clean lines that make it visually appealing, this toilet seat was a quick way to freshen up the look of the bathrooms. The seat is quiet, which is a nice switch from the seats that sound like a slamming door, and my partner is sure to be happy I won't inadvertently wake him with my middle of the night bathroom excursions. My only concern is my partner is a large dude who is 280 lbs of pure muscle: I'm wondering if the plastic of the seat isn't going to buckle right under his backside at the most inopportune moment.

The seat itself is great, but if you have a skirted toilet like most Toto models you will need additional hardware to mount the seat. Search for Toto THU651N to find the bolts for skirted toilets.

screws made of plastic do not compare to original screws. Reused the original ones for a tight fit. seat looks great, made my toilet look like new.
