How odd.. it has 6 threaded holes and only came with 4 bolts?. Thanks to my neighbor he had 2 more I could use.

Chimney Cap was perfect fit and very easy to install

Looks good, performed as advertised through the summer, keeping out leaves and rodents. Appears sturdy and I anticipate no problems for the winter.

This chimney topper looks like it will be a permanent fix. The attachment is stable with 8 bolts to hold to the chimney pipe. Previous owner had a hard cap on the fireplace that required a trip to the roof to have fire. We like fires on cold rainy nights, not the best time to think about going to the roof. Unit appears durable and since it is stainless steel it will not require maintenance.

Bought this model in part b/c it appeared to have 2 screws on the long sides (6 total) to attach to the chimney flue. However, the 8x13 size uses a single screw in the center of each side, not the 2 pictured. The cap itself appears well-made, and so far I've had at least one very breezy day and it's still in place, but I did bed it in silicone caulk in addition to using the screws, and I'm sure that helps.

There was no existing cap on the chimney, only wire mesh to keep out animals. Purchased this product online - quick delivery (although it was loose in box with no packing). Solid, good gauge stainless. should last a lifetime. Easy installation - place on the flue and tighten the bolts. As the flue is oval and the cap is rectangualr, there are small openings in the corners on the underside; they're small enough I don't think it'll be an issue.

I decided to order this product from Home Depot because they were the cheapest and they offered free shipping It is well built, looks sturdy and fits perfectly on top of my fireplace. I would recommend this item without a doubt Look at the pictures and the work done...

Yes. It's very good. But, If you add a screw spacer(universal aluminum pipe,washer) will be better... I Think..

The bolts fastened the Forever cap to the oval-shaped chimney well. Easy install. Some bolts go a bit sideways because of the oval shape of the tera cotta.

Poorly packed in a large box with no bubble wrap etc. causing the cap to be scratched, but undented and still useable. It fits perfectly on my chimney -- and looks cool too! Not sure why it's described as "adjustable" other than you can move it a little by how the screws are adjusted

Did not come with mounting hardware shown in picture. If it was noted in description that hardware was needed I didn’t notice. Quality of product is sound it is a solid chimney cap but I had to buy hardware to install.

This chimney cap was easy to install, and it fit my flue liner. It is stainless steel and looks good. I have built fires in my chimney and it works great. outstanding product

Just exactly what I wanted and easy to adjust and install. Fit perfectly.

Quality material and true to size, fit perfectly.

The screw mounts were woefully inadequate for a secure mount without having to construct a better framing mount on the chimney crown. Despite this the cap blew off in a windstorm. Tightening the screws caused the cap frame to bend. No amount of fastening was going to make this truly secure. I gave it a chance and the first big wind ripped it off the roof. Money wasted. "Act of GOD" not covered by Warranty.
