I had just had my deck painted and wanted to protect it from the charcoal falling out. Works perfect, liked the handle on it, the size was great.

Delivered w/ a corner damaged. Home Depot product called "Leak Seal" rubber spray. Makes for a great fix if u have the same problem I had.

fits perfectly under the gas grill and gas smoker. bought an same item over 6 years ago and it took all year long weather

perfect for under my gas grill, protects wood deck from spills.

This product does just what I bought it for. However, I wish it wouldn't slip and slide, even with the grill on it.

We use this mat under our Weber Genisis Grill. It keeps our pavers clean from debris and fat that inevitibaly drips around the BBQ. Our first one lasted for several years before this replacement. Pressure washing it every spring keeps it looking good. I do wish it was 6" deeper and longer.

A little pricey but it does the job it is sopposed to do

I purchased a new gas grill and under pad (in orange to match my house). Good sturdy products and will last many years.

I bought this mat to keep under my grill on my new Cumaru wood deck. The mat was in place for one month and when I lifted it, there were sections of mold underneath and my wood finish was messed up.

It's large enough to cover the section directly in front of the BBQ and does indeed protect your deck for spills and splashes, it's thick and feels durable should last a long whole

I got two of these mats to put under my big smoker. I needed these since ash and burning cinders fall out of the fire box all the time while smoking meat for 20 hours. We just built a new deck and didn't want to burn a big hole in it like the last one<G>. The mats worked perfectly and are truly fireproof. A fancy plastic mat would not have worked. I recommend these mats for serious cooks.

This product does protect our patio floor from spills, etc. when placed beneath our gas grill.

This is the second one I bought. The first one I used as a pad underneath a propane burner for cooking lobsters and clams. It would routinely get wet and cruddy with hot water, and a quick rinse was all it took to clean it up. It has lasted for several years now with that treatment. I just bought the second one, because the two together make a nice shield for the deck under out new fire pit table. I might buy a 3rd one, of a different shape, for the burner now.

This was exactly what it says it is and does. I just wish it was a bit thicker.

Had not heard of a grill mat before. Thought it was an excellent idea. We have been using it for several weeks and its doing it's job. We ordered Berry Black - this color is BLACK in case you order this color.

I just got off the phone with the manufacturer and they explained to me what MAY possibly happen. There is nothing that can leach color in the mat. Most problems have to do with: 1 - items under the mat will fade/weather/stain differently then items not under the mat. It makes sense - the carpet under my couch looks very different then the carpet in the rest of my living room for the same reason. 2 - Water may get trapped under the mat. This may be fixed by letting everything dry out. I guess this is unless the water trapped may stain the deck. 3 - The majority of the issues (which there are a few of) has to do with composite material (as per the manufacturer AND reflected by the reviews of this product on multiple sites). If you are putting it on concrete or pavers this is a NON-ISSUE. 4 - There is one particular deck manufacturer that there are moisture issues with and there is something you can do to mitigate. Contact the manufacturer to make sure yours is not the one and/or what the mitigation is. I always consider reviews when buying items but with this it was strange. Some people loved the product and then some stated it destroyed their deck. It was then I realized all of the negatives were on decks and almost all stated composite (some did not say anything about the deck material). When in doubt contact the manufacturer to understand if there are any issues and then correlate that information with the reviews and then make an educated descision

IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY FOR THIS PRODUCT TO KEEP YOUR DECK CLEAN.

If I could give this a minus rating I would.... after 2 weeks on my brand new composite deck... I moved the grill and lifted the "protector" only to find that the pad had discolored the deck. The deck is ruined in the exact shape of the protector (handle shape and all.) It must have produced heat between the protector and the deck from the sun and discolored it.. it was not from the grill as I had not even used the grill. UGH... heartbreaking!!

I had a grill fire which destroyed my very old grill and wanted to take extra care with my new grill. This performs as claimed.

This is the second deck protector that I purchased. The first was exactly the same and after many years was beginning to crack. It does a great job protecting my composite deck.

Product is as advertised. I was very worried about my new composite decking, but this charcoal type mat just washes off. It has rained quite a bit with no marks on my deck. Price was competitive with local stores, which only sold the light brown color.

Received well packaged, as described. Very happy with this product.

Unfortunatly, the color of this product does not work with our deck (trex). Have returned it to seek a better color match.
