The toasted sand was a bit darker than I thought, but the Trex worked out very well and we are very happy with the results. Actually quite easy to install once you understand how it goes together.

Rocky Harbor Composite Decking by Trex is beautiful because it has several colors throughout the piece and it looks less “plastic”, in my opinion. However, I ran into the 16’ pieces with a Loy of black streaks and the 12’ pieces with hardly any black streaks. So, if you need to install both sizes, be sure to pick out all of the pieces and inspect before you install. I had to go to 3 different Home Depot’s to find the ones with less black in them.

Extremely happy with how this turned out! I was worried about how hot it would get, and although it does heat up (my deck is in direct sun 10-4), it's not instantly-burn-your-skin hot. The deck looks great, I love the color (Coastal Bluff), and I am SO happy I chose to replace my old deck with Trex instead of lumber. Very satisfied customer!

I am thrilled with this product! Ease of installation...
I am thrilled with this product! Ease of installation with the Trex fasteners in the grooved edges was a plus. My front porch is a million times more inviting, and I'm NEVER going to have to replace it again!

Trex, like most outdoor walking surfaces, can get warm when it is in the sun all day. Great sample!

I was considering wood but upon seeing how this was made and the durability I was impressed! The sample is large enough to see what it would look like compared to others and makes it easy to make a good choice.

Very solid decking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew as soon as I picked up this sample that it was a good solid decking. It will obviously hold up to the weather without fading. I like this particular color because it reminds me of a good solid wood flooring. It also has a very smooth texture that is very comfortable to the touch.

Beautiful color
