This scraper works great on tile but not so much on concrete. I am re-modeling my basement bathroom and I ordered this scraper to remove the plaster that fell on the floor. this worked fine on the tile in the hall way, but did not work the same on the concrete bathroom floor. The floor scraper uses a razor blade so dulling it on concrete prevented me from using it there. I wound up buying a hand scraper to remove the plaster instead. I still use it for plaster that drops on the hallway tile.

Product is not packaged and can be bought directly off the shelf with similar items in store. The overall length of the handle is approximately 46" with the pliable comfort grip approximately 4.5" long. The handle is a light gauge tube made for durability. The grip has a good ease of use feel to it. The blade attachment is stamped metal with two removable screws for razor blade removal and replacement. The blade is razor type and very sharp right out the box. This tool is made for light duty work like paint scrapping or glue removal but I would be hard pressed to say this tool would suffice for tile or linoleum flooring removal. A good tool for the job as needed.

The floor scraper came completely assembled. It had a protective cover for the blade which is great for storage. I really like the long handle which allows for scraping the floor without getting down on your hands and knees. It has a sturdy feel and the blade is a good quality and thickness. The blade is 4 inches wide which allows for getting into smaller spaces. One thing to keep in mind is that for large surfaces, with that blade it takes more strokes to cover the wider area. I used it to remove dried droppings from drywall mud and some globs of paint on a concrete floor. Overall I have been very impressed with the scraper.

The handle is made of metal and seems very durable. The blade is thin but holds up under heavy scraping. Only a small portion of the blade is exposed so that helps keep it from breaking. To change the blade you have to loosen two screws and the blade falls out. The screws hold the blade securely and much better than if the blade slid in from the side as some scrapers do failing to hold the blade securely over time so the screws are a good design. This is only a 4 inch scraper. if you have a large job you may need a wider blade. This is definitely good for small but tough scraping jobs.

Good for scraping gum, paint or wax buildup off floors! If you've ever done a touch-up paint job without a drop-cloth and wished that you had put something down to catch an errant paint drop - this is what you want. This tool is a lightweight item that reduces the need for bending when trying to clean dried paint or gum from a floor! You have a choice of using a sharp side of a single edged razor or the dull side side. What you're trying to clean and your skill level will determine which side you use. You can also use it to get paint splatter off glass. I used the sharp side of the razor blade for that and it worked quite well! The head is angled, so harder places to reach aren't as difficult to reach. While I won't be using this tool a lot, I'm glad to have it when I need it! I think that the price was reasonable and extra blades cost about 50 cents each.

It has a long enough handle to make bending unnecessary and it's great to get grease and grime off of a concrete garage or workplace floor. The length is about right but I would like a little wider blade. The plastic protective blade cover on mine arrived broken but I solved that with a 4" piece of duct tape for when it's not in use. The hole in the handle is a tight fit for the hangars I have in my shop so I looped a tie wrap through the hole and it hangs easily from that and doesn't interfere with the handle when you're using it.

I ordered the Unger Long Handle 4 Inch Floor Scraper because I now have about a 4 1/2 inch gap between my refrigerator and stove. Since I had nothing small enough to fit in that small space I was delighted to find this 4 inch scraper. Cleaning this area is much easier with the proper tool. My appliances are now silver tone and require their own special treatment and can not be touched by floor cleaners if I do not want them to streak. I am thrilled about the new floor scraper and I do recommend.

Both the wife and I have been looking for an easier way to handle some of the spills we have in our kitchen and family dining area ceramic tile floors, especially when they are food or some beverage spills that are dried and not so easy to remove. Being older seniors it is not as easy for us to bend over and scrub these spills any more , so this long handled scraper make life much easier for us and the tile floors really look much better now Mopping is much quicker and easier now.

This product is made in China. It is about 4 feet long so most people can use it comfortably standing. The scraper consists of a plastic blade holder attached to a metal rod with a plastic cap. There is a hole in the cap so it can be stored on a hook. It is made of high quality sturdy materials. I tested it on two surfaces. I was concerned about scratching the surfaces so I used the blunt side of the blade: (1) to remove mystery spots (tracked in mud or dog poo?) on ceramic kitchen tile. Dry ground in spots were a problem but residue came off when the Braava robot mopped the floor. (2) to remove dog poo from a cement porch. It removed the droppings leaving not much residue but it did scratch the surface when I pushed hard. This method was a lot easier and just as effective at removing spots as doing it on hands and knees with a putty knife.

Ok, I know this is a floor scraper and I have used it on my workshop floor and in the basement to pull up old carpet, but then, having a long handle, I tried it on the hallway popcorn ceiling, the thin, sharp 4 inch blade cut right through the popcorn nice and clean and no getting on a ladder, very nice. So this long handled 4 inch scraper made by UNGER is a multi-use scraper, built strong and has replaceable blades with a protective cover so it's safe and hangs on the wall just like a broom and it's very light and easy to handle, plus it has a lifetime Guarantee, what more do you need. You will love this scraper !!

I was a little apprehensive about using this scraper on my linoleum floor, as it contains a single-edge razor blade that does the hard work of scraping. However, I had an unknown substance stuck on the floor that wouldn't come off with mopping or hands-and-knees scrubbing, so I took my chances. The product worked like a charm. It removed the substance with no damage or marking whatsoever of the floor. I had primer spots on the ceramic tile near a door that I had repainted, and used this tool on those as well. Also had no damage to the ceramic tile surface. The scraper is lightweight and very easy to maneuver. It has a handle that is similar in length to that of a dust mop or a broom. There is a safety cover for the blade that fastens on firmly. The blade appears to be durable enough to withstand scraping up adhesives left behind after removing carpeting or tile. This is a nice tool to help you clean up after a messy DIY project or deal with longstanding stains on a hard surface.

this is excellent for scraping up old linoleum floors if you are going to tile or paint the floor the only adverse affect I ran into with this scraper is the plastic head I was afraid to use to much pressure for fear of breaking it other than that it does the job as it should the blades replace easily and the handle is easy on your hands I would recommend this tool

Initially I’m giving the UNGER FLOOR SCRAPER FOUR FEET LONG four stars. It’s length is practical for a minimum of bending and the tip end of the plastic handle at the top is well shaped and it has a hole in it enabling you to conveniently hang it on a nail. If you need to hang it on something thicker I’d recommend you loop cord through the hole to hang it rather than enlarging the hole. The scraper blade comes with a protective plastic cover and warning that the blade is sharp but the protective cover on mine was already broken when I received it. I replaced it with a strip of duct tape four inches wide and now it’s safe between uses. The four inches wide blade is narrower than I would like but it appears to be sharp enough to scrape gum and dried adhesive spills off a concrete garage floor. I even found it useful to shear off the tops of weeds trying to come up out of the cracked concrete outside. If you’re still in doubt, consider this: doing it standing up beats scraping concrete on your hands and knees with a putty knife.
